B&B La Veduta

We stayed “On the Water” in the old town of Scilla and it was absolutely wonderful!
Antonio was the perfect host – warm, attentive, and genuinely caring.
The rooms are beautiful and comfortable, with a romantic balcony floating right above the water, offering breathtaking views.
Breakfast was rich, fresh, and delicious, and the whole experience felt personal and special.
A perfect place for couples looking for peace, beauty, and a truly unique stay.

Antonio was a great host, very helpful and responsive and gave us a lot of great advice. The view from the balcony is breathtaking.

One of the best experiences in Italy we have had so far. Property is run by family Antonio who is a face of the property and Nella who is “gray cardinal” ❤️ of it and who takes care of the all delicious food you get for breakfast 😊 just a warning… if you think of not having breakfast, notify hosts that you won’t have one, for Nella not to wait and prepare for you. Need recommendations for a good restaurant for dinner, ask Antonio and you will get a reservation… Places he suggests are amazing. Honestly there is so much to say from our 3 nights stay, I could write here an essay… if Booking. Com would allow ratings above 10, would give 20! Also worth to mention, Scilla and part of it where B&B is located, is so chill and nice. Imagine, if you dine in a restaurant one night and next morning you are greated by that restaurant owner (our guess) when he sees you… And yeah, Antonio’s motto is “don’t worry” and he delivered it to max!
Pay attention, you have private bathroom, but you will have to exit your bedroom to get to it. Bathroom is on the same floor, just need to cross narrow stair case. Bathrobes are provided for this.

Wow what a place! We love every single minute in this B&B. Room was very nice and clean all what We need was waiting for us. Most spectacular was the view of the sea and the sound of waves. Special thanks to Antonio and his Mom for exceptional hospitality, we felt like in home.
All was, fantastic we will be back for sure.

Everything! The view, the breakfast, Antonio and his beautiful mother, that made Italien cakes and biscuits. We always felt at home, supported with everything. We got many advice on what to do around the coast. This experience was truly exceptional and we can recommend it without any doubt. Thank you Antonio!.

This is our second stay at La Veduta and it will not be our last. The location and view is perfect with bars and restaurants at your fingertips.
The beautiful crystal clear beach is Scilla is only a ten minute walk and Antonio will happily suggest the best beach clubs.
Antonio and his parents are incredible hosts. Nothing is too much trouble and they will make you feel very welcome.
We cannot wait to return.

The photos do not lie! B&B Veduta offers gorgeous picture postcard views of Chinalea bay, right on the waterfront. The rooms are well appointed, bathrooms spacious, useful mini-fridge, very good breakfasts, and best of all, the host, Antonio, who was always very quick to respond to any questions, gave good recommendations and really helped me out beyond the call of duty regarding luggage and car parking. Thanks Antonio, for everything!

Wonderful property — balcony with sea view was incredible. Each of the three rooms has a balcony overlooking the saea. Lovely friendly hosts. Very relaxing.

Location was great, room very comfortable and clean. Breakfast — homemade cakes amongst many other options were very good. Staff friendly and made you feel comfortable. The balcony overlooking looking the water from your room was so relaxing, and the view was great.
There is nothing, that we did not like.

Superb in every respect. Antonio is such a genuine host, solely interested in you having a great stay. There are only 3 rooms. Our top room (Almo), overlooking the sea was fabulous, clean, very comfortable with a large private bathroom directly opposite. Located on the fringe of Scilla, all the restaurants and bars are nearby, though the beach is a good 15 minute walk through the town /tunnel beyond the castle in the next bay.
Breakfast is very good with wonderful cakes baked by Antonio’s mother. The breakfast area is small with just 2 of the 3 tables able to be on the outside balcony.
La Veduta is a very special B&B as is the town of Scilla, though the growth of tourism may well spoil its charm. As we left, a new extension over the water right next door to La Veduta was going to inevitable spoil the view to the castle. Progress I suppose but with unfortunate consequences.

We can't say enough about La Veduta, Antonio, and his mom. The view is amazing, and the B&B is literally right on the water. Antonio is the most gracious and attentative host we met during our one month / 8 locations vacation in Italy. From meeting us at the train station, making the best coffee we had in Italy, keeping us company while we ate the delicious breakfast his mom made, making dinner reservations, to driving us to the ferry, among other things. We loved our time at La Veduta and wouldn't hesitate to go back.

La Veduta was exceptional on all counts. Amazing view of the shoreline and town from the balcony. Great room and shower, all very clean and pristine. Breakfast was phenomenal — and some of the breakfast must be baked on the premises as the whole place was filled with the aroma in the morning. Antonio and his mother are lovely and super helpful. We were unlucky with the weather, so really hope to make it back again.
One word of warning — if you are driving, and put their address in Google Maps it will take you down a local street. You can’t park down there and it is super tight, like an inch or two of clearance each side on our car, a nerve-wracking experience! Stay at the top of that street, don’t go past the palm trees.

We had a wonderful stay — Antonio was like a concierge in a full service hotel — something I didn’t expect at a B&B!
Beautiful views, balcony right on the sea, and right in the middle of the restaurants and bars.
Very clean and highly recommended!

Stunning little B&B. Family run. A level of decor, cleanliness, service, breakfast and overall standard that can only usually be found in the highest star hotels. Perfect location, not far to walk from the station, and right on the water's edge. Lots of lovely little bars & restaurants and Scilla has some interesting historical buildings to visit. A walk on the (steep) steps of the "Sentiero Del Serro" is a must if you are interested in nature… the whole path is dotted with native Calabrian plants with a little explanatory plaque for each one. And then back to your balcony to chill, watch the traditional swordfish boats at work, spot a dolphin if you're lucky and listen to the waves lapping directly under you. Bliss!

I have been here for 30 minutes and I already give this property 5 stars. It starts with Antonio, who is so nice to talk with and very welcoming. He offered to help with my car and my dinner reservation, and we talked about fishing. The rooms are impeccable, comfortable and perfectly appointed. This is the place to stay in magical Scilla.

First and absolutely not the last time here. Location is amazing (so charming, by lots of restaurants and walking distance to beach), all 3 rooms are with ocean view (and it is breathtaking) and superb service. Breakfast is lovely and the owner is great! Parking is abit difficult as the B&B is in a ZTL zone (residents only parking) but we were so lucky to get one of the public parking spots by the church so it's a short walk. Highly recommend this very romantic and lovely B&B!
