Villa Giordanelli

I hosted a retreat here and simply loved it! The employees were super kind and helpful. They served us a huge and delicious breakfast each day and we loved hearing the history of the home! The location was absolutely perfect — walking distance to the ocean, the old town, the supermarket, the main part of town and more. The rooms were beautiful and spacious. We hope to return one day! Thank you sooo much!

If you like old world charm then you will love this beautiful Villa in centre of Scalea. Bed super comfortable, place is spotless but does have a little bit of an old smell which can’t be helped.
Agneiska met us on arrival and offered drinks, slight issue when she thought we only wanted one room as opposed to the two bed apartment specified on Booking. Com but quickly rectified. While she pointed out this was a misunderstanding on website it’s something they may want to rectify to avoid any future such issues.
Breakfast was delicious and served inside as the day was not as sunny as was expected the night before when breakfast was planned for the garden.
Good value and would definitely recommend to others.

Beautiful Enchanted Mansion in the heart of Scalea. It is within walking distance to the sea and historical town. The town has amazing food, quaint and friendly people. It feels like you took a step back in time. The accommodations were clean, comfortable, and quiet. The breakfast was simple and delicious.
The host was most gracious. It was a lovely stay. Highly recommend!

This was our second stay at Villa Giordanelli (stayed there in September 2021) and it was terrific. Located on Via fume Lao just a short walk to the pedestrian only section of Scalea is everything you need in a small B&B. Agnieszka is the "chief cook and bottle washer" at the villa. She checked us in, showed us to our room and explained the amenities, and prepares breakfast each day either in the garden or inside depending upon the weather. She also does the room cleaning (unless her colleague is their) and checks us out. In short, she's awesome! The rooms at the villa are quite large,, more than adequate compared to more typical European B&Bs. It's a short walk to the beach area and is centrally located on the Calbrian coast to visit some adjacent towns like Praia a Mare, Maratha, Diamante and the beautiful small village of San Nicolo Arcella. The villa has been recently renovated, rooms are bright, well appointed, great bathrooms and excellent Wi-Fi. This is the perfect spot to explore the northern coast of Scalea… a must stay place.

My wife and I spent 5 nights at the Villa Giordanelli in September 2021. The villa is located in a perfect spot in Scalea, just a short walk to the pedestrian only piazza, a 10 minute walk to the beach as well as many fine restaurants. It is a small villa with just 3 rooms, we stayed in the Tiffany Suite. A very large room with ensuite… very clean, had all the necessary amenities including free Wi-Fi, daily housekeeping and daily breakfast either in the garden, the outdoor balcony or if the weather was suitable, in an upstairs common room. The owner Domenico is a wonderful man (who also has an in up the road a bit in San Nicolo Arcella) and his son Andrea and his staff are great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Villa Giordanelli and we are likely to return to the Scalea area of Calbria next fall, and will definitely stay at the Villa again. Enjoy!

Definitely one of the best villas/hotels we stayed during our grand touring of 16 days in South Italy for this summer. In this pretty newly renovated villa, the Staff service is very personalised and considerable. We loved our spacious room and public space provided. Found a 80's publication of Valentino sketch book in the library was a true surprise! Thank you guys for your team efforts! We truly appreciated! BTW, Scalea is the best town to stay for 3 nights to discover the south/west coast.

The villa is gorgeous, the staff are friendly and friendly, the service is of excellent quality, relaxation is guaranteed, I would recommend it to anyone and I would gladly go back.
