Hotel Murano in Q&A

Information is provided based on reviews and may contain inaccuracies.

Where is Hotel Murano located and what is nearby?

The hotel is in an excellent beachfront location, directly opposite the sea in Rossano Calabro, separated from the beach by a convenient bicycle and pedestrian path. Guests highlight the stunning sea views from the windows and the convenient location for walking. However, some visitors mention that the town itself does not offer many attractions, and loud music can be heard from coastal establishments at night.

Does the hotel have parking?

Yes, the hotel has its own private parking area. Guests describe it as convenient and shaded by trees, with well-maintained paths and a lawn area.

How polite is the staff and how does the reception operate?

Guest opinions regarding the staff are divided. Many praise the employees for their professionalism, politeness, hospitality, and willingness to help, specifically noting the owner's assistance with transfers from the station. At the same time, there are serious complaints about the owner's rudeness, with some clients stating that he shouts at guests and staff. Instances of inappropriate behavior by the night staff have also been mentioned.

What breakfasts are offered at the hotel?

Breakfasts are rated differently: from "abundant" and "excellent" to "poor" and "monotonous." Some guests find the food selection too simple, comparing the products to a supermarket assortment. There have also been complaints that the bread is sometimes stale and dry, and that food is not always promptly replenished when items run out.

What is the condition of the rooms and furniture?

Many describe the hotel's interior as outdated, noting the need for cosmetic repairs and repainting of the walls. The furniture is worn, and there are instances of torn covers on balcony chairs. At the same time, many guests find the rooms clean, bright, and spacious. There were separate complaints regarding hairs in the bathroom and stains on the sheets.

What are the bathroom and shower facilities like?

The shower cabins at the hotel are frequently criticized; guests describe them as too small, old, and cramped. Some reviews mention a lack of shower enclosures and issues with water leakage, which causes the floor and even the room furniture to get wet.

How does the air conditioning work in the rooms?

The air conditioning system causes dissatisfaction among several guests due to the operating schedule: reports indicate that air conditioners are turned off from 10:00 to 13:00 or 13:30, creating discomfort during the day. Problems with malfunctioning remote controls were also mentioned, which could cause the units to turn off spontaneously during the night.

What is the hotel's beach like and what facilities are provided there?

The hotel has access to a beach with crystal-clear water and clean sand. Opposite the hotel, there is a beach club (lido) with umbrellas, sun loungers, and a children's play area. However, guests warn that beach services are paid, and the prices are considered high compared to neighboring offers. A strict ban on bringing your own food and drinks into the lido area was also noted.

Is the hotel suitable for a vacation with children?

The hotel is considered suitable for families with small children. This is due to its proximity to the sea, the presence of a green area, and the neighboring beach club with a children's playground.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Mr. Fabio, the owner of Hotel Murano, and his exceptional staff for their kindness and exceptional service. Recently, my wife and I visited our family in Rossano, Italy, but due to a delayed Frecciarossa train, we arrived very late. Unfortunately, we were unable to find a taxi. However, upon contacting the hotel and explaining our situation, Mr. Fabio went above and beyond to pick us up from Rossano Stazione and personally drove us to the hotel. His outstanding gesture of hospitality and generosity made our stay unforgettable.
