Club Esse Sunbeach in Q&A

Information is provided based on reviews and may contain inaccuracies.

Where is Club Esse Sunbeach located, and what is nearby?

The resort is situated in a very convenient location with direct access to a magnificent sea and beach straight from the property. The Squillace train station is located nearby, making the hotel easily accessible for guests traveling by train.

What dining options are offered at Club Esse Sunbeach, and does it have an all-inclusive system?

Guest opinions regarding the dining are mixed: some praise the cuisine for the variety of dishes and the skill of the Sicilian chef, while others describe it as repetitive and of poor quality. Breakfast is often described as monotonous day after day. The menu occasionally features unusual selections, such as tortellini in broth in August. For guests with lactose intolerance, choices are limited to milk, which must be requested every morning. The all-inclusive service is valid until 11:00 PM, which some guests feel is too early. Beverages are available at the bars, though the selection of alcoholic drinks from dispensers may be limited.

What condition are the rooms in, and what amenities do they have?

Rooms are primarily described as dated and in need of renovation, with some guests noting dampness on the walls and poor lighting. There have been complaints about faulty door locks leaving guests locked out, as well as non-functional showers. Some rooms do not include a bidet. Nonetheless, some guests find the rooms simple yet clean and well-kept.

Is housekeeping provided at the hotel, and how clean is the property?

Daily room cleaning and towel changes are performed punctually and efficiently. However, the cleanliness of the common areas raises concerns: some guests report that the grounds are not cleaned at all. Reviews of the beach vary from "well-maintained" to "never cleaned." Cleanliness issues were also reported in the bathrooms and the baby feeding preparation room.

How polite is the staff, and how does the front desk perform?

The hotel staff receives mixed reviews. Guests frequently highlight the very friendly bar staff, especially Sasà, as well as the twin waiters Alessandro and Giovanni. At the same time, rudeness from the maître d' and poor communication among staff when sharing information have been noted. The front desk staff (particularly Alessandro) is described as very kind and welcoming.

What are the pools and the beach like at Club Esse Sunbeach?

The hotel features large and beautiful swimming pools surrounded by greenery; however, some guests note a strong chlorine odor and hair in the water due to swim caps not being mandatory. The beach has direct access from the hotel grounds, and the sea is described as spectacular. Cleanliness ratings for the water entry and the beach area itself are mixed. Canoes are available on the beach, provided by the lifeguards.

Is Club Esse Sunbeach suitable for a vacation with children?

The hotel is recommended for families with young children due to its overall infrastructure. However, there are significant downsides: the biberoneria (bottle-feeding preparation room) was rated as very dirty, and access costs 15 EUR per day. It was also noted that children are permitted in the quiet relaxation zones, contrary to the description on the website.
