The location and location is well worth it, with a splendid swimming pool and a very beautiful and large tree-lined exterior. Unfortunately the services are not up to the level of the location. The room is not worth the price paid, the bathroom is old and poorly maintained. Disappointing breakfast for a farmhouse, we asked for a savory breakfast, which we only had for a surcharge, and we were only brought 1 scrambled egg and 3 triangles of cheese. Unfortunately disappointing experience!
➜ The choice of the Borgo Piazza farmhouse immediately proved to be the best we could have made for our first holiday in Calabria. I say first because with an experience like this it certainly won't be the last. It was exactly what we were looking for, a quiet but not passive environment, where my girls were able to have fun with Mrs. Elvira's educational workshops, with the kittens who kept us company for two weeks, the two cute dogs Lilla and Bianca and with the beautiful swimming pool. There were moments of play and moments of rest and reading lying in the hammocks set up in the beautiful pine forest adjacent to the swimming pool, accompanied by the relaxing song of the cicadas and frogs in the pond. Sometimes just going to the big oak tree or to the bench where you can lose your gaze on the sea at sunset gave me something magical. Even the cuisine has never disappointed us, every day something different and always products from their land cooked with love: starting from breakfast with the excellent jams and honey from Marco's bees, Mrs. Elvira's son. All this, the wonderful sea, the quiet and serene environment, the archaeological sites, the castles and the villages to discover, but above all the kindness and helpfulness of the people made this holiday unforgettable!

I think we left a piece of our hearts at Borgo Piazza! This generational, family-run farm, an agriturismo, is a very special place, run by a family that truly makes you feel like you are family! Elvira and Marco, words cannot express our gratitude for making us family and for this special place that gently makes you slow down and be refreshed and renewed by its surroundings. Groves of olive orchards, lemon groves, fig trees, cactus and stunning views of the Ionian Sea embrace your every step. We had breakfast and dinner every day, with the menu they prepared and planned — a culinary delight. I can’t say enough about Marco and Elvira. They went above and beyond to make our stay so special. Agnese was so kind as well. A highlight among many was to see the church their father built on the property. The heart of Borgo Piazza. I hope to carry what I learned there with me always.
