My visit to this Italian B&B near to Acquaviva (sulfur bathing — terme) has been one of the most memorable overnights I have ever had *anywhere* in Italy. That is saying a lot given the breadth of my Italian travel experiences.
Why? The hospitality of the owner, Vincenzo, is unparalleled. He has created an environment where people — traveling separately — seem to forge instant friendship due to the welcoming and communal feeling of the place, I enjoyed an excellent meal here, not because it was Michelin rated, but rather because it embodied the essence of Italian cooking: simplicity, fresh ingredients, flavorful.
If you are looking for a five star experience, look elsewhere. If you are looking for a serene retreat in an environment of peace and tranquility where you will be graciously welcomed, I highly recommend a visit. And don't miss the sulfur baths! The mud add on is a must.
