B&B Calandrella

I thank Mimmo and his family for their hospitality. Authentic people, rare to meet anymore. Perfect place to relax with a breathtaking view. The b&b is in an excellent position to move around and reach the various locations located on the coast.

Our "Scirocco" room, although small, was functional, with a beautiful little garden with pergola at the entrance, a spacious shower and a very comfortable bed. The room and structure are dotted with objects and details that exude love for the home and guests. The built-in kitchen in the garden, available to everyone, allowed us to prepare a small aperitif every day upon returning from the sea which has become our ritual while waiting for the unforgettable sunsets that this stretch of wild coast has generously given us. The property is located in Cersuta and its location is a strong point, as well as offering a magnificent view of the sea, it allows you to walk to small beaches where you can swim away from the crowds. The center of Fiumicello is less than 10 minutes away by car and the Port of Maratea can be reached. To finish, a good breakfast with generously sized croissants, fresh fruit, plenty of coffee and milk accompanied by the anecdotes and advice of Mimmo, a kind, friendly man, with a face that could make for theater and a rich experience from which there is only learn. Worth noting is the climb to reach the car park, a rather steep stretch and dark at night, but short and you quickly get used to it. We felt nostalgic for this place the minute we left it. We stayed with family and friends in this property in the Ponente apartment and the Libeccio room. Apartment equipped with everything and unlike other structures, cleaning service and linen change were included (which is not a given for those staying in an apartment). Spectacular view and outdoor garden with kitchen used by those staying in the rooms but still available to guests. The gem of this place is in the hospitality of the owners (the whole family) but in particular of Mimmo and Elena who treat guests like family and not like tourists. Excellent breakfast. Excellent location for reaching the local beaches.
The only flaw is the noisiness of the train that passes nearby… but the beauty of the place makes you forget everything!
