Our stay at Eldoh was simply unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcome. Verginio and his wife are exceptional hosts—warm, genuine, and thoughtful in every way. They made us feel at home from the very first moment.
The apartment is spacious, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and has such a warm and cozy atmosphere. When we arrived, the fridge was stocked with fresh fruit, a bottle of local sparkling wine, and plenty of water a wonderful and thoughtful welcome.
What truly makes this place special is the personal attention. Every day, Verginio checked in to see if we needed anything, and on the third day he surprised us by preparing delicious bruschetta with locally produced olive oil and fresh tomatoes. It was such a memorable experience and a perfect example of the incredible hospitality we experienced throughout our stay.
The rooftop terrace is another highlight. We spent many relaxing hours there, enjoying the beautiful views over the historic center of Bernalda. It is the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring.
Bernalda itself is a charming, authentic Italian town and an ideal base for discovering the Basilicata region. Matera is just a short drive away, and the beautiful beaches along the Ionian coast are also within easy reach for a perfect day by the sea.
If you're looking to experience the real, authentic South of Italy, combined with outstanding hospitality, Eldoh is the perfect place to stay.
