We have stayed at B&B Germinario several times over the last few years — every time we visit beautiful Trani. Also this October it was a very pleasant stay.
The host and owner is kind and friendly and is present to welcome guests and is also present mornings and late afternoons into the early evening. This is so nice! (Especially nowadays when travel often involves key boxes and faceless messages giving instructions. )
The position is excellent — a few minutes walk from the cathedral or the harbour.
The building is a historical building which has been restored over time. The latest addition of new windows with double glazing means it is quiet at night with the windows closed despite being in the heart of historical Trani near a busy square.
The rooms are comfortable and perfectly clean and the small kitchen corner is a bonus for preparing the occasional meal (although Trani offers an enormous range of eateries from expensive resturants to take away places). There's a small balcony with a view of the square and old church.
The Italian breakfast included, of hot drink and (enormous) croissant, is in a nearby bar/cake shop which bakes on the premises and is an experience in itself and a great start to the day.
Excellent value for money!

Nice B&B in the old/historical Trani city centre, big rooms with balcony, we had also a little kitchenette to cook food, the beds are comfortable, clean, everything marble that keeps cool in the hot summer. Business trip in October 2025, by the way, the weather was very exceptional. We loved Giorgio, the host, he was very helpful with everything. Very close to the Marina, shops, sea side, the parc, etc. We stayed one week, the breakfast & coffee is outragesly gooood. The price per room … the best deal. We loved there and we already booked for this year too. Here we come, Giorgio :) :)
