PHALANTHOS TARANTO

Very nice and well-kept structure, modern as a whole with welcoming rooms and super comfortable bathroom, there is also a terrace/relaxation area which is always a pleasure. The staff were friendly and attentive in preparing our breakfasts, which were always good. Another positive aspect was the car parking always available.
I would have given 5 stars if not for a rather negative fact that compromised a star, namely that our room was separated from another room, therefore with other guests in our case who were very noisy!, only from a closed door which prevented us from sleeping for 1 whole night… I recommend removing the door and putting up a wall.

We stayed in the Taranto facility for two weeks. Quiet area, very close to the center and the first beaches on the coast. Internal covered parking is available to guests. The property is very elegant and our room was spacious with a large balcony… not to mention the bathroom. Cleaning is carried out daily in compliance with anti-Covid regulations. The last, but no less important, is Virginia: splendid hostess, kind and always ready to satisfy any request of her guests. I should have mentioned her at the beginning but I wanted to leave it at the end to thank her from the bottom of my heart because although our stay was not a real holiday, for purely personal reasons, thanks to her we felt welcomed like at home. If there is an opportunity we will definitely return. Thank you.

As a family of five We stayed at this place for two weeks in summer. The finish and standard of bedroom (with air conditioning) and ensuite accommodation is excellent. The breakfast (continental) is basic but fresh and the proprietor and wife are friendly and helpful and there's free and secure parking.

Very cozy and clean structure… Don't talk about Marco a very kind and hospitable person… We had a great time! I recommend it to everyone! I hope to stay here again…

The structure is kept in a maniacal way and also the kindness and availability of the owners towards the customer is something unique.

We weren't very sure about this place when we pulled up, as it is in the middle of the city and felt a little grungy. However once you are inside it is fantastic, and in fact the area around the hotel ended up being quite lovely. It just took a little adjusting to. Our hostess (Virginia) could not have been nicer if she tried, and the rooms were spotless, smart, freshly decorated, quiet and secure. Breakfast was good, and we thoroughly enjoyed her company (she is a great guide to Taranto and very proud of her city). We went to a nearby cake / bar place — which was very smart and modern, and as we walked around saw that all the shops etc are actually very chic. There is just lots of graffiti which initially made it feel a little rough. It is about a 30 minute walk to the old part of the city (or an easy taxi trip) — and whilst I wouldn't want to walk it at night (just like any big city), it was nice enough during the daytime. Secure parking in the locked in garage was great too.
