We had a fantastic stay at Vele d’Otranto.
We were blown away by the warmth of Nana, Franco, Anaïs and Antonino. We felt like an extension of their family.
Our room was perfect: spacious, newly renovated and fully equipped (mini fridge, new air conditioning and even a nice balcony). The bed was really comfortable and the rooms were very quiet.
The breakfast is outstanding. Nana makes different cakes every night and the family welcomes you every morning with so much warmth and kindness.
The family gave us so many great recommendations and tips which made our trip even more memorable.
If you get to the chance to stay here, consider yourself very lucky.

A must-stay for anyone visiting Otranto. This was our best ever experience at a B&B. Franco, Nana, Antonino, and Anais made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. Everyone was readily available to answer questions, offer recommendations, and went above and beyond to ensure we had an incredible stay. The breakfast was a highlight, featuring homemade cakes and pastries by Nana, and a beautifully prepared spread using the best local ingredients. The location is also great as it's right beside a grocery store, a 5 minute walk to the beach, and less than 10 minutes to the old town. Grazie for a wonderful stay. We miss the morning chats at breakfast, and bonding over our Frenchies. We can't wait to coming back next time we’re in Otranto!

Franco and Nana will make you feel like you are at home. I will miss the conversations my wife and I had with them and their family and I will definitely stay with them again when I'm back in Otranto in the future.

The owners Franco, Nana, their daughter Anais and her partner were the most hospitable and welcoming people we met during our entire holiday.
They really cared about their guests and instantly made us feel totally welcome and at home and were always pleasant, happy and jovial.
Perfect location only a few minutes walk to wonderful beach, the historic town centre is 10 minutes walk and on street parking is available.
Our rooms were very nice, spacious and spotlessly clean and the breakfast was absolutely delicious and generous with homemade cakes and sweets made by Nana.
Our sincere thanks and gratitude for a absolutely wonderful stay go to Franco, Nana and Anais.
I thoroughly recommend Vele d'Otranto as a perfect place to stay and if we are ever lucky enough to go back to Ontranto we will surely stay there again.

Vele Dotranto is the perfect place to stay! Nana and Franco are wonderful hosts. The delicious breakfast is included. The rooms are like those in a 5-star hotel. The beach is a 5-minute walk away, and the center is just 10 minutes away.

Absolutely amazing hosts and hospitality!
The rooms are well decorated, spotlessly clean and spacious. The bathrooms are very modern and convenient as well.
The breakfast was beyond our expectations — the sweets were home made by Nana, and it was all so tasty and well presented.

It’s hard to immediately think of a better all round B&B we have ever stayed in. Scrupulously clean, spacious, and everything fully functional, it’s immaculate all round. The hosts Franco & Nana welcome you like long lost family, then reappear in the morning to oversee breakfast, which is all fresh each day, and despite only catering to a maximum of four sets of guests, the full range of coffee, tea, bread, meat, cheese, fruit and pastries is covered, crowned by Nana’s home made cake — if there’s a Great Italian Bake-Off TV programme, Nana should enter!
Yes, it’s possible to stay a bit nearer the old town and/or the beach, but both are in the easy walking distances claimed. The Atlantis beach restaurant at the end of their road has umbrella and beds for 22 euros, and there is a well stocked Waitrose-like CONAD supermarket 50 metres the other way. There’s also free street parking on the opposite side of their road.
One of us is vegetarian, and with this in mind, they gave us two restaurant recommendations — Resto Gusto, and La Bella Idrusa for pizzas (enormous! consider sharing! ) — which were both excellent. After two nights, we were waved off to continue our journey with a handshake, hug and a kiss.
5 star in every respect.

Lovely B&B with very friendly likeable and welcoming hosts, Franco and Nana. We had a large bright room, tastefully furnished. Franco and Nana were very helpful with what to see and do in and around Otranto. Breakfast was terrific plenty to eat and delicious. Highly recommended.

You know those places that go above and beyond to make your time there memorable, comfortable and welcoming? This was it. They made you feel like you were welcomed into their home as a VIP guest. I couldn't have asked for a better stay. And thank you so much for the painting, Nana!

Great rooms, delicious breakfast, and wonderful hosts!

I was on a trip with my boyfriend across Italy and we stayed at this beautiful apartment for one night. Everything was so beautiful, new and clean. But I was so amazed by the owners (Nana and Franco). They are suchhh a lovely couple! I am so happy that we had a chance to meet such lovely people. They were so kind, and they made us really delicious breakfast. If you’re on your way to Otranto, I would highly recommend you to stay at this place!
