Li Calizzi

We had an amazing experience at La Calizzi! We were warmly welcomed, and it's a beautiful place run by a local family. Our room was very clean and tidied up daily. The meals — breakfast, poolside lunch, and dinner — were all delicious, made with local ingredients, and everything was homemade, even the jams, wines and olive oil! Ottavia provided us with excellent service during breakfast, offering recommendations for attractions and dining daily. The peaceful and picturesque surroundings, coupled with their willingness to assist, make this place a definite recommendation!

I stayed at Li Calizzi this september with a friend.
When we arrived, we weren’t welcomed warmly. We didn’t feel like they were happy to have us. When we asked something during our stay, like two wine glasses, they started to sigh. Everything we asked felt like it was too much. We were even thinking about leaving, because of that weird vibe. Walking on your toes on our holiday is not what we expected.
Besides that, the place is a public area (the swimming pool) and there are some celebrations in the evening. That is something you need to keep in mind. There is a swimming pool for guests only, but when we stayed at Li Calizzi, the owners and their staff were taking over that pool area.
All of the above we weren’t warned about. Therefor, here is our warning to think twice when you are looking for a serene and welcoming place to enjoy your holiday.

Unqualified and rude staff.

We celebrated our baby's communion and it was all wonderfully perfetro… great food, excellent service, professionalism and courtesy from the staff and owners of the structure… a lovely place, I recommend it to make the ceremonies unique and magical. Thanks to Gregorio marzo, his mother, Antonio agrimi.

Wonderful place excellent dishes friendly service and prepared everything great.

I've been here for two nights already and I'm excited about this place and the people who gave it a unique soul. And I refer both to the owners and to all the staff, welcoming, kind and competent. The cuisine is excellent and the wines of the Li Calizzi winery are all of a high standard.

Beautiful location a few steps from home. The staff is helpful and friendly. Exceptional cuisine, with particular attention to detail and customer care. But it was clean.

This could be a great place to stay, but is in desperate need of some tender love & care. Please note that during our visit, (april '19) It was rainy, so we were more depending on our room. We had a room on the ground floor, large enough for the three of us. The pictures of the room found on the internet show how the room once was, but when we stayed there, the curtains of the bed were missing, it was cold (both temperature and atmosphere), perhaps by the 4000K bright white lamps. The bathroom can use some fixing (toilet seat and shower floor).
Ravi's service and smile on the otherhand were excellent, the food we were served in the evening was really good.
Perhaps it was because we were the only guests or because it was pre-season, but we felt not comfortable to stay 3 nights and left after 1 night. This place needs some care and it might get back to right price/quality balance. It defenitely has potential.
