Palazzo Bernardini Suites

As a group from Turkey, we spent an evening there having a fantastic dinner, lively chat with landlady Isabella, had some nostalgia (songs, memories). Location of the building just fantastic, in the heart of Lecce, yet very quiet in the evening. Would like to spend some days staying in air her air b&b rooms. Thank you a lot İsabella for unforgettable smile on your face and hospitality.

This was my second visit to Palazzo Bernadini, and I was very happy to be there. The rooms are eclectic, and have a wonderful charm, as do the owner/hosts. They are friendly, welcoming, and absolutely a delight to speak with. I was on a bicycle trip around Puglia, and they had a safe secure place to store my bicycle for the three days I was in Lecce. Everything from the booking through the checkout was very personable and friendly. I highly recommend staying here when in Lecce.

We fell on our feeding this absolute gem. Hidden away in Lecce this beautiful B&B was not easy to find and parking the car in the courtyard was even more challenging. But once found, it was worth the effort. Our large room, with a separate attached en suite, was beautiful decorated as was the whole apartment that forms this classical bed and breakfast. Breakfast was included and they catered for my gluten-free (Celiac) needs. Breakfast included coffee, juice, fruit and much more. We were met by the manager who helped us settle in and showed us around the beautiful apartment. You need to be aware that the owner of the apartment is about but in no way gets in the way. The B&B is centrally located right in the centre of the old city, so it is an easy walk to all the gates, cathedrals and all the other sites worth visiting in Lecce. We stayed two nights and I would highly recommend this accommodation. There is free Wi-Fi, air conditioning (and heating) and a fridge and kettle in the room.

We booked this place on Airbnb as its location and the photos made it look awesome. We were there in January, which is the not greatest time to stay in an old historic property. It was cold and dreary, the furniture was uncomfortable, the beds were like trampolines, and we just could not imagine staying here even one night. They also listed a photo of a room that doesn't exist in the rooms we booked. Its location is amazing, and if you are interested in having the 'old palace' experience, then this is for you. But I would recommend warmer months when it may be more comfortable. I would highly recommend the owners make the most of this beautiful building by updating the furniture and lighting and making it much more cozy. We ended up finding another listing and had a wonderful experience in a historic property that WAS updated and modern.

Experience out of the ordinary… live in a palace! Perfect location in the city of Lecce!

We fell in love with this place, it was such a beautiful old palazzo. We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment on the top floor, and had so much space we kept losing each other! The furniture was all authentically old and lovely, the owner was very sweet and kind to my children, and I was sorry to only be staying one night. Would agree with what other reviewers have said about parking, we used the car park at Viale dell’Università / Piazzetta dei Saraceni which was only a short walk away. There are quite a few stairs up to the top floor apartment, and if you prefer sleek and modern appliances then this place will be wasted on you.

A palace and its history, perched in an alley of the historic center of Lecce is dotted with baroque ornaments. The garden depicts the stained glass windows of the changing colours of nature, the rooms tell their past to anyone who wants to listen to him, sitting on damask sofas and fireplaces. There is in the palace and the elegance of this narrator's voice, which expresses the refinement of every corner and, above all, the warmth that is felt to belong to these stories.
