Nonna Jole

Location was great, middle of old town and 5 mins walk from railway station.
The rooms were located up a scary, very steep stairs. Beware when going down with a heavy suitcase!
Rooms were great, bathroom a narrow corridor. Odd shape!
There was a disco/bar next door which "entertained" us till 2 at night with nonstop bam-bam-bam "music". I understand it was Friday so I can´t tell how it is mid-week.
Breakfast was in a tiny cafe on the way to the railwaystation. You will be better off chosing a "proper" cafe for your morning meal.

The B&B is centrally located in the historic centre of Lecce and all sights are close by. At the same time it is beautifully quiet at night. Everything is super clean and the host is very welcoming and helpful. Really recommendable!

I prefer to leave positive reviews but in this case it doesn't seem possible.
The B&B is managed by an owner who does not seem to be familiar with the hotel sector or hospitality towards customers.
We booked the apartment with kitchen which is located on the ground floor of a beautiful building in the historic center of Lecce. Unfortunately, despite the beauty of the structure, one does not feel at ease because it is furnished in a spartan and tasteless way. The low neon lighting leaves a totally cold atmosphere. During the night it even gers a kund of scary atmosphere. A pity since there would be a real need for more beautiful lights, because the whole apartment has only two small windows, meaning that little natural light enters.
In the morning we were disturbed twice by the cleaning lady, because the owner keeps things to clean and prepare all the other B&B rooms in our apartment — really bad organization. Unfortunately, the owner then made a bad impression: instead of taking on the responsibilities of the organization he began to blame the cleaning lady even though she had no other option than to come in, otherwise she would not have been able to prepare the other rooms.
The shower drain was blocked so that the entire bathroom floor was wet after the first shower.

Gian Paolo runs a tight ship. Always ready with a "bongiorno" which is immediately followed by a quick status quiz to make sure you are doing well and the room meets your expectations. Yes, it does; rooms are modern and fully remodeled to the highest standards. Shower has fantastic hot water and pressure. Prices change, but I paid Euro 60 for the Duomo room without breakfast, (Lecce is too cool to miss your morning cafe stop somewhere in the streets). I loved standing out on my balcony and watching street life on one of Lecce's hippest avenues. Quanto Basta, Cafe Letterario, Prohibition and a few others were teeming with life on the street below, and I had the best view in town. So, bravo, Gian Paolo, my friend. Keep it up!

I will definitely be back, the kindness of Gian Paolo and unique! Clean rooms spacious and tidy, we had the bell tower room overlooking the bell tower of Lecce Cathedral. I recommend it. Thanks for everything.

We had a wonderful stay at Nona Jole in Lecce. Very well located to the best sights and restaurants in the centre. Our larger than usual room was in a private courtyard. It was quiet and comfortable with high ceilings. The host was very warm and helpful too.
