Michelangelo B&B

Our stay at Michelangelo’s was the highlight of our trip. Michelangelo himself welcomed us, and helped to arrange reservations at the best, local restaurants setting up an amazing experience in Varenna. The roof deck provides the best view in the town and we enjoyed wine there all three nights. The room was clean and provided plenty of space. The breakfasts were delicious and often there was enough to save for lunch! I highly recommend this beautiful bed and breakfast.

Having spent a fortune on staying in caves & trullis, looked for somewhere a bit cheaper for a couple of nights in Lecce & Michelangelo was perfect. Phenomenal value for money, we stayed (3 adults) in the Amos apartment. Huge & comfortable with a cute little open-air courtyard, this easy-to-access ground floor apartment had everything we needed. Be aware that the second, separate bedroom area is cut off from the sole bathroom by the main bedroom (not a problem as long as you know each other well! ) Perfectly located in a quiet alley just off the square in front of the fabulous Santa Croce basilica & convenient for all Lecce's sights. Recommend the (slightly more expensive) Parkejoo Viale Michele de Pietro car park — an easy 5 min walk from the B&B & manned even at 7am!

Michaelangelo, our host is a supehost. He gave us all directions to get the proper Parking pkace near the B&B, he picked us up the minute we arrived at the place, helped us with the luggage, braught us to our room, showed us around, advised us with restaurants, etc.
Simply outstanding unit/place, courtesy and service.
After check in he invited us to a guided tour that took 2 hrs around Lecce, done by Anna Palumbo a professional tourist guide. She could not have done it better. Knowledgable, sympathetic, helpful made our tour an unforgettable one. Thanks a lot Anna we enjoyed it very much.

I’m not sure what good fortune was bestowed on us in finding this little gem, but we are so grateful.
Amazing accomodation in the heart of the old town. Beautifully appointment and clean rooms, traditional Italian style. There was a kitchenette, small dining space and an outside courtyard.
The hosts (Michelangelo and Michaela) were so welcoming, organised and helpful.
Breakfast is delicious and plentiful — served at a local cafe.
You are also invited to attend the local walking tour, which was a great introduction to the city, the tour host (Anna) was fantastic!
We stayed in the Amos apartment and were not disappointed.

I cannot recommend this B&B enough. The room was perfect — we stayed in the Amos Apartment and this was one of the most beautiful places I have stayed. The photos do not do it any justice — it was stunning. All the amenities were top of the range and it was great to have Netflix that we could log into.
The hosts Michael Angelo and his wife were always available if we needed them. It was great as Michel Angelo also runs a tour company so we could arrange tours with him. Everyone that works with Michel Angelo were so friendly. You also get free breakfast at a cafe just around the corner and the breakfasts were great. If you are thinking of booking this place do as you won’t be disappointed.

Friends recommended this bnb right by Santa Croce as we were guests at a wedding. Location is great, easily reached by taxi as it's in the limited traffic zone. Inside, there's flexible accommodation for up to 6 people. It's equipped with anything you can possibly need, beautifully interior designed, we had to get the details of the architect that worked on it! What really makes this B&Bstand out though is the exceptional customer service. Both Michelangelo and Micaela could have not been more helpful in sorting out a few wardrobe malfunctions. Michelangelo even scooted his way to source new shoes for my husband's kilt outfit that just broke open at 10 minutes to the wedding. Huge thank yous! Highly recommended!

We stayed only 1 night, but we will definitely will come back, Michelangelo was a great host, he even has a travel agency and gave us discount for a walking tour. We had to check out early and the restaurant where we suppose to have breakfast was closed but he came early morning to bring some Italian pastries for breakfast! THANKS A LOT! The place in great location, clean, new, he has 2 independent apartments 1 for 4 people with kitchen and small terrace and 1 for 2 persons! We want to come back.

Perfect stay in Lecce historical centre. Spot clean and well equipped. The apartment is composed by 2 contiguous rooms. The first right on the entrance with 2 single beds, and the second with a king size bed. A little and cozy dining area with a table and 4 chairs, a kitchen corner and then a bathroom with shower. A small courtyard with another external shower completes the apartment. Air-conditioning, Wi-Fi. 2 minutes away from tourists info point Infotab where you can enjoy a guided touristic tour offered by the landlords.

The B and B is in a great location. We parked car nearby along the Villa Comunale Park. Handy. You pay in the morning and in the evening. Walk through the lovely park, through the palazzo del governo and you are on the square with the basilica Santa Croce. You are virtually there. Located near the basilica in a quiet street, you have a feeling of staying in a local house. Which is nice. The welcome was great. Good size room with tea and coffee facilities. Breakfast is in a nearby cafe, restaurant. First morning we got all served. But we could simply make up what we wanted, which we did the following days. It was great to sit early morning in the street, read the newspaper in the cafe and watch Lecce wake up. The people who run the B and B also run the tourist info around the corner. We could join one of their tours as part of the booking. This was a very informative tour which gave us a good introduction to the city. The room was good size, with a bit of character and nice high ceiling. Value for money is great, and again people were very helpful and welcoming. Both in B and B and the associated cafe. We will revisit Lecce and look forward to stay again in Michelangelo.
