HABITARE Lecce & Salento

The place is about 5 min walk from Lecce Centro Storico. Rooms are in the 3rd floor so a bit of exercise going up and down the stairs. Parking is on street and free. The rooms have lovely decor and amenities. Breakfast is a treat watching Salvio create his dishes meticulously while Monica is in the background running everything ship shape. We used the self service laundry services in house. We will definitely visit again for salentino hospitality and sumptuous breakfast.

This place is full of personable charm from Salvio and Monica and good value. Located close enough to Porta Rudiae gates at the historic centre, the only comment would be the stair climb to get to the apartment door. Salvio helped us with luggage via a small baggage lift. Decor is imaginative and comfortable, with our room having no view but natural light through high windows. Parking is free on the street, but as we discovered, evenings from Thursdays can be busy with locals parking also; we walked 4 blocks on our first night. Breakfast changes every day, with an enthusiasm for local produce on what must be described as generous plates. Monica helped me sort out laundry, which was very kind. We enjoyed our stay.

5 stars is an understatement. I wish I can give more stars. What a whimsical experience. I cannot compare anyone with the service received. Salvio is unique, genuine, knowledgeable, skillful in the kitchen, passionate and dedicated. He also has a wonderful partner, Monica. I am humbled and grateful of this pleasant surprise. Whenever I plan to go to Lecce again I know I will be picking this place again.

The room was lovely! Really comfortable bed with plush pillows and quality linens. The hosts were so nice, and very attentive with their guests. They put a lot into running their B&B and it makes a difference to your stay in Lecce! I must mention the amazing breakfast, which keeps you going all day. I would most definitely recommend staying at HABITARE.

Super comfortable and stylish b&b located a 10 minute walk into the walled city. Breakfast was amazing keeping you full all day. Rooms very clean. Hosts Sylvio and Monica friendly and informative. There are stairs to climb but Sylvio uses a pulley to get luggage up to the third floor. Bed very comfortable with quality linen. The personal touches make this a super special place to stay.

Don’t come to Lecce without staying with Monica and Salvio. They have created a very special place that has every comfort you could possible need. Salvios design expertise is evident in the beauty of the rooms. It is a 10 mins walk to centre of the beautiful Old City. Their hospitality is incredible and the food that Salvio prepares is out of this world. We highly recommend taking advantage to the tours and Olive oil tasting to learn more about the people and culture of Salento and Lecce. All in all an exquisite experience that left us sad to be leaving and determined to come back.

We spent a couple of days here and can say it was wonderful. Silvio is a one of the bests hosts I’ve ever come across. He’s generous beyond belief. He makes the breakfast from scratch in the morning and gives you a taste of the region with his own twists. Absolutely delicious! You can tell he’s incredibly passionate and wants to make sure visitors are welcomed. The rooms was also great, very comfortable and well decorated.

The B&B is situated just outside the old city (2 minute walk) and a 20 minute walk from the train station. We had to call the hosts when we got there but it only took a few minutes for them to show up. The B&B is on the third floor but there is no elevator. The room was beautifully decorated (inspired by local activities, ours had a marine theme), comfortable and spacious, with all the desired amenities (small fridge, kettle) and a small balcony on a relatively quiet street. The highlight of our stay was the breakfasts prepared fresh every morning by the inspired Salvio. The most exquisite breakfast we have ever had in a B&B, featuring local delicacies (meats, cheeses, pastries) on a beautifully presented plate that I struggled to finish because of the amount of food. Wow!

This accommodation is just amazing! The kindness and smile of the hosts, the amazing breakfasts made from local ingredients make the vacation truly special. Breakfast is served in local artisan ceramics, which enhances the experience. The interior design and quality of the room show that they have paid great attention to even the smallest details. The property looks and feels more like a boutique hotel. The attention to detail throughout is a testament to the skill in which Salvio and Monika have gathered together the various elements to complete boutique designer feel. The highlight every morning is the breakfast. The preparation that goes into it is worthy of a high end restaurant. The plates are full and Salvio presents the food and then take great pride in explaining where everything on the plate comes from and the relevance to the region. Presented with passion and pride.
The property is 10 minute walk from the Lecce historic centre with its narrow lanes and access to Piazza. There are a multitude of bars, cafes and restaurants. Salvio was happy to recommend a steak restaurant which was only 0.3 of a mile from the Via Di Vaste.

This is an amazing 5-bedroom B&B. Salvio and Monica live offsite, but are in total contact with you to provide the keys and are the most amazing hosts. Incredible b-fast and I mean fabulous which Salvio takes time to make with local Apulian breakfasts — fresh, fresh, fresh! Each room has a different theme with balconies. Parking is free on street — location is 5 min walk from Centro Storico. Only point — no elevator and 3 flights up, so if you have a large suitcase, be warned.

WOW, what an amazing place and experience! Habitare Lecce & Salento is new, sparkling clean, comfortable and well located, very close to Lecce’s historical center. The breakfast is fantastic, made with local products and a lot of care and passion. The best breakfast we had throughout Italy! Most importantly the hosts, Salvio and Monica, are extremely kind, friendly and welcoming! We were very happy we stayed with them and can’t wait to go back. Highly recommended!

We experienced a beautiful four night stay at this exceptional b&b. The room was beautiful and big, the location is a 5 minute walk from the old town of Lecce and the owners (Salvio and his wife) put so much love and passion into everything they do! For us it was one of the best stays we ever had and we would come back immediately at any time! ☀️ Especially I want to highlight Salvios amazing breakfast! It is a mouthwatering surprise and changes everyday! It is really so special and was our daily highlight! 😍 Furthermore, Salvio knows a lot about the area. For us who wanted to check out the beaches, his advice on where to go was very helpful and let us make the most out of our stay! He also recommended a really nice restaurant, where we had a beautiful dinner 😊 also the shower was amazing. This is a fantastic independent bed and breakfast for a single person or a couple. The rooms were clean, and it’s really close to the old town. The breakfast was the highlight of the stay. It’s freshly prepared by Salvio and his partner (the kindest people) and it’s the most delicious healthy breakfast I’ve had for a very long time. I note that there are quite a few stairs to get to the apartment, so it’s not suitable for disabled, and newborns with prams.

This is a fabulous property. As others have said the photos almost don't do it justice. It is a place that you can see the owner Salvio really cares about. The thought that has gone into the design the high quality of the furnishing and the bedding just wonderful. The water pressure in the bathroom fantastic and air con and Wi-Fi perfect.
The breakfast is the best breakfast you could possibly have in the whole of Italy. There is a choice of Sweet or the savory Salento breakfast. Both prepared by Salvio every morning and served in the beautiful dining area. We did not eat again until the evening it was so good. This stay has been the highlight of our visit to Italy both due to the service and quality.
Yes as the information says there are stairs but so worth the climb. Location to the main sites and the station also perfect.
Many a boutique 5 star hotel in the world would struggle to match the standard seen here.
