Antonia was the perfect host. She went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome and had everything we needed. The apartment was two bedrooms. One with a king size bed and the other with two singles. There was a fully equipped kitchen and a well stocked fridge with enough food for a week! She had also left a fruit pie for us.
There was also a washing machine in the bathroom and a lovely roof terrace with Sun loungers up a very unusual staircase.
The apartment was in a great location in the old town.
If you’re driving there is a car park on Viale dell’Universita about 900m from the apartment. You can park overnight and come and go as you please. We paid €30 for 48 hours.
A great place to stay in Lecce. Be aware that there are a few steps to climb if that’s an issue.
Bicycle friendly; most gracious and kind host Simona who baked us a jam tart, brought us freshly made pastries to try each morning and had the refrigerator fully stocked with all other breakfast foods. We felt at home instantly! The apt. Is equipped with more than you think you might need; we cooked every night and enjoyed coffee on the rooftop terrace (even though it was chilly). It is spotlessly clean, Wi-Fi worked well, comfortable, warm and was cleaned during our stay of 4 days! The location is PERFECT, quiet, easy to get around on foot. Simona guided us on a 1-hr walking tour of baroque sights and sites that we would never have noticed! If I haven’t convinced you and you select someplace else, you are missing a truly delightful stay.
