At the end of our Puglia road trip, we stayed at Maison d’Enri for four nights at the end of September. I have nothing but praise for this beautiful estate. The service is top notch and staff will go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. The breakfast spread is exquisite and there’s lots to choose from, for vegetarians too. I’d also highly recommend lunch and dinner (you can also have dinner here if you’re not a guest). The dishes are very good, as is the wine. We had dinner and lunch here twice.
We had several chats with the owner and she is wonderful and so accommodating. The pool area is very relaxing. Everything is clean and kept very well. The house is so charming and beautiful with a lot of fine details. It’s close to Gallipoli, a short car or bike ride. Also Lecce is within an hour’s drive.
If I had to give one recommendation to the staff it would be to allow guests to have breakfast outside because it can get quite warm in the breakfast room on sunny days and it’s just lovely to enjoy your breakfast on the terrace.
Please choose this place as your calm and relaxing stay in Puglia; you definitely won’t regret it!

Please do not book this place if you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy the pool and outdoor areas forget it all the sun loungers were broken the pool was filthy, so bad you wouldn't get in. If you like a nice cold beer while sitting in the sun forget it they didn't have any, if you want to go to the outdoor bar forget that too was not open it was a storage room for the outdoor cushions this was the beginning of September. He smell from our room was damp and musty, when we complained and asked for a different room we were told no other rooms were available and they would spray the room with air freshener. We reluctantly stayed that night but when we got up in the morning to find ants in the bed we immediately went to reception and asked for a refund for the 2nd night as there was no way on earth were we going to stay, we spoke to the owner who told us to leave and get out when I told him I wanted a refund and was going to leave an honest review with pictures. Please do not waste your hard earned money on this place.

I was asked to add a review for this place although I didn't stay there. Why? I was booked with this place for 3 nights, including my round Birthday (pretty special). A night before our arrival I was told my first night of stay has been cancelled due to a Covid guest who refuses to leave "my" room. This was supposed to be my Birthday. The person who called me promised to find an alternative stay for us. He also didn't make promises as to whether the room will be available for us for the rest of our stay. He never found another hotel for us, never replied to any of our calls. We decided we need to act quick and book another hotel so we drove to Maison to cancel our whole booking and make sure we won't be charged for the stay. We called them at the gate and got hung up on rudely. I wrote them an email informing that we'd like to cancel our whole reservation, asking them to confirm that our credit card has been released. Never heard back. Turns out, my boyfriend was trying to arrange festivities with them for my Birthday. They stopped responding to him a week before our arrival. Zero contact.
I understand that things can happen, a guest had a COVID — fine. But the way the staff treated us, leaving us high and dry, stressed and disappointed — that was just AWFUL. We were lucky to find another nice hotel but the stress of this whole situation has definitely left a mark.

From the moment we arrived we felt welcome, with Lucio greeting us at the entrance and making sure our things were safely transported to our room. Check-in felt more like arriving to a friend’s fabulous vacation home, with an atmosphere of understated luxury as you move through the venues. Since we arrived quite late we decided to enjoy a dinner in the hotel restaurant, which turned out to be a great experience! The hotel villas are located in a green oasis not far from Gallipoli, and it was great to take a stroll in the fairy-light gardens after dinner, and hang out in the lounge area by the pool. Our room was peaceful and comfortable and in the morning we enjoyed a fantastic breakfast in the beautiful garden. When we decided to prolong our stay we were pleasantly surprised by Carla and Stefania with a complimentary upgrade to a Deluxe Double, where we could enjoy our cold beverages on our balcony. This spontaneous stop on our trip turned out to be an absolute highlight. We will definitely be back! ☀️

I had booked a room at that property, with Booking, and the day that I arrived they have cancelled it because they said they couldn’t take the money from my card. I had talked with them a day before to resolve the problem, because I got a notice that they can’t withdraw the money, I asked to give me a different option (they said I didn’t put the cvc number on the payment, but that option was not available on booking when I tried to pay, the other card details were all there) they said just to update and its ok and the next morning when I had the flight I saw that they have cancelled the room and nothing else could be done! I had no other option because the reservation was made in advance and I had to look for another reservation on the day of the arrival, and all the other options that I liked were all booked so I had to settle with the options left for my vacation because they didn’t care! The stuff did nothing to help me, they just said they can’t do anything for me…the manager I talked to is Francesco and he just said that the payment is automatic and the booking was cancelled…i was looking forward for that option at that property because I didn’t want to stay in the town and thats exactly what happened…i expected solutions for the problem because its not what you expect and prepare for vacation!

I’m reviewing it average as I am reviewing it as a family who stayed there and not a couple. I do feel this should be advertised as a bed and breakfast or guest house and not a hotel so I found the website and images slightly misleading. Firstly, the setting and grounds are beautiful, they are kept very well and you do feel like you are in the middle of nowhere (despite the ants). The room was clean and spacious and decor very tasteful. The breakfast was beautifully presented and staff very friendly. (The breakfast is especially great if you have a sweet tooth). Sadly this was not the hotel for us as a family, we were not aware that food and drink is not served throughout the day and even from 4pm when the bar was open for drinks there was no one around (both guests and staff) so the atmosphere was missing for us. It’s forbidden to bring your own food and drink in (states on the bedroom sign) so the days were a little impossible to relax there. The pool was great and our girls loved it but our baby couldn’t crawl on the floor due to the amount of ants (which wasn’t fault of the owners but we found it very difficult). This hotel is suited more for couples who are looking to get up and leave after breakfast for a day of exploring.

I went to Maison d'Enri with a group of friends and inspite of the rainy weather, we had the most welcoming, luxury experience we could have. From the moment of arrival to the moment of departure we have been cuddled by Carla, the owner, in the most amazing way. Food at breakfast and at dinner was authentic pleasure for our taste buds, wine was unique and the boutique selling dresses and necklaces drove all of us nuts. But what I loved most was the silence, the relaxing atmoshpere and the spectacular smell of trees and flowers. The place is not a hotel as such, but a great combination between a Masseria and a luxury villa and it is where you really get the spirit of a place… but don't tell too many peple, we don't want to get it spoiled by mass tourism.

A dream come true. The beauty of a villa surrounded by greenery with the courtesy and efficiency of the hostess, make this charming residence a place not to be missed.
