Voi Daniela Essentia Hotel

You gotta simply love this place. ❤️ Nice and clean rooms, large pool, the resort is not overcrowded with lots of people even must be about 200 rooms. The restaurant is on very high standard, the food is just fine. All staff is very friendly and helpfull. Private beach with it's own shuttle and lot of extras is a plus. We enjoyed our holiday at the fullest and would stay at this place again. Highly recommended for everyone.

This is our second stay at the hotel. The food continues to be of the highest standard and rooms are comfortable and pleasantly decorated in creams and blue. The cleaning staff are to be commended particularly, as the hotel facilities are immaculate.
The hotel has invested in an entertainment company who run the kids club and activities. These people are all well trained and not intrusive, should you not wish to join in. The Pilate's/ Yoga classes are led by Massimo who is excellent. Although we did not need the kids club as our ' children' are in their twenties, I was really impressed by the care and attention given to their charges and the obvious enjoyment shared by all the little ones. This is a great hotel with a large pool, a kids pool and a private beach. There are always plenty of loungers available and the hotel and pool never feel crowded. Otranto is about 15 minutes drive by car and is a beautiful fortress town with lots of small shops and restaurants. The hotel is a perfect place to relax with genuinely pleasant staff.

The staff at this hotel are amazing warm, very and very helpful nothing is too much trouble for them. Made to feel very welcome.

My only criticism was the resturant. Queuing was terrible also food always cold.

Everything was great. Food. Service. Facilities. Room qualities can be improved. Especially the bathrooms. But we were overall happy with everything. The pools were great. Shuttle yo the sea was very convenient.

The food was mediocre.
The links to the beach were not really working well as the train causes too much vibrations for the kids to take it and is infrequent at many times.
The quality of the entertainment was quite low, yoga was old fashioned, kids club non existing they just made them look at a movie which I can do in my room.
You cannot take a single biscuit from the food hall at breakfast to bring to the room for the kids or you eill be yelled at.
Yoga and similar services were old fashioned.
All of this dies not conform witg a four star hotel. Everywhere there were guests unhappy of the experience talking about this. We have paid some 4500 euris for 10 days which is 450 euros a day, it is a premium price and did not get a premium experience at all.
As a reply to the director, who is a valid professional who dedicated attention to our case:
— I have said that you had attention the problems to the maximum of your possibilities at the time of the stay. You could not change the personnel in a week nor change the bus you use to bring the guests to the seaside, these are challenges for the next season as you know better than I do. So keeping on complaining was useless at that point, we focused on relaxing.
— Also it was pointless to ask you for things that do not really depend on you. The main thing is that this particular hotels markets itself as a 4 star reasonably high end but is far from the beach and mediocre in its design, the food is typical hotel food.

One of the few places that are not overcrowded. Great food served in an appealing way by cooks and attendants. Much better than the huge crowded all you can eat buffets. Nicely organized and well kept.

An excellent hotel where the standard of cleanliness was of such a high standard that the whole cleaning staff are to be commended. Food is of an equally high standard with grilled meat or fish cooked beautifully and offers the usual multi courses of an Italian supper. The hotel also offers gluten free dishes, but this aspect was clunky and needs refining in its offering. This is a hotel in which to completely relax by the pristine pool or walk through the pine forest to the beach. There is also a Disney style shuttle train to the beach which is about 600 metres or so away from the main hotel. The hotel is mainly frequented by Italian couples and families and is a superb place for a quiet holiday.

Simply excellent! Staff are keen to help and food is of a very high standard. This is not a destination for those wanting ' chips with everything'. Freshly grilled fish or meat is available each evening, along with the traditional courses of antipasti and pasta. There is an attempt to cater for those requiring a gluten free diet, but this is a work in progress and a bit ' clunky' in its availability. A simple menu of entertainment is available and a relaxed atmosphere is enjoyed by all the clientele. The standard of cleanliness is exceptional in all areas of the hotel. The guests are mainly Italian, couples and families. The pool is pristine; however if you prefer, the beach is a short walk through a pine forest or you can hop on the Disney style ' train shuttle' which runs frequently to a regular timetable. The beautiful town of Otranto is about 15 minutes drive away. We will return to enjoy another holiday here. Excellent.

Nice resort immersed in nature and well maintained. Staff is courteous and helpful. We had a little issue upon arriving but it was quickly resolved (thanks to Gianvito). High hygiene standards in the dining room. Good variety of food.

I stayed with my parents at Voi Daniela for 1 week. The resort is sold as a 4 stars resort, however it is definitely not in that league.
The beach does not accommodate all the residents and it’s small and crowded. We were given one sun umbrella and 2 sunbeds, even tho we were 3 people and got two communicating rooms! When asked, the staff said they were unable to provide another sun bed to add under the umbrella. After asking multiple times my mom was given a sunbed on the opposite side of the beach, not even on the sand and with no umbrella!
The sea is also practically inaccessible as there are massive rocks all over the sea shore, which make it practically impossible to walk/swim in the water.
The rooms had the potential to be good, however the cleaning was not up to standards, the bathroom towels and the bed sheets were old and it showed. The rooms need maintenance in general.
The entertainment crew was great, hardworking and friendly, however they seemed to lack adequate management and organisation from above.
The pool seemed like an Olympic pool and although it was beautiful it was almost always empty due to the strict rules, such as wearing a swim cup, which made it not as relaxing.
I wouldn’t recommend this resort as I have had a better experience for a cheaper price at 4 stars hotels in other countries.
