La Civetta

Hard to find as the name of the place was so small on the wall. Very steep stairs for elderly People. Very modest breakfast.

I booked this through Cathay Asia Miles points and did not read or may have overlooked that it had no elevator. If you have heavy luggages it may not be the place for seniors.

POSITIVES.
— The location is excellent, just in the heart of the city, a lively pedestrian area, at a walking distance to the main railway station and restaurants.
— Room and bathroom are clean and specious.
IMPROVEMENT OPPORTUNITIES.
— Towels are over worn. They need to be replaced.
— The parking spaces are too tight. We had a small car and were required to park in a challenging spot, even though more convenient locations were available. If I’m paying the same rate as others, I should be free to choose from the available spots. Alternatively, they could offer a lower rate for small cars with designated parking spots.

Beautiful, cosy, and affordable B&B in Foggia. I stayed at the room Dolce Vitta and loved it. If I would back again in Foggia or surroundings, wouldnt doubt it for a sec: La Civetta for the win!

Two nights were probably not enough!
This is a beautiful little hotel, a great room, very good bathroom.
It’s a very central location, easy to get to the station.
The staff very friendly and helpful.
Very clean, well looked after.
If you are ever going to Foggia would definitely recommend seeing if they have room for you.

The value was undeniable. The quality, design, location and comfort was great, especially considering the price the property was charging (given that it was an off season and Foggia is not on the radar of many tourists). All the amenities and interior was top notch and the place can't be more central.
I don't mind hotels (b&B's) that take up a whole floor in residential buildings, however owners need to be mindful of common spaces and how close they are to the rooms guests are staying in. The main complaint I have is the fact that the reception was literally one step away from the entrance to our room. First, it makes it awkward for guests to talk in the room as I am sure the receptionist can hear everything. Second, receptionist or other guest was watching a TV late at night and it wasn't helping us to fall asleep as it was fairly loud. I have a suggestion: get rid of the reception or at least limit hours to check in time — you don't need a 24 h receptionist in the property with 5 rooms.

Positive: The room we were in was very spacious; very high ceilings, huge bathroom, bartable with stools, little balcony facing the central square. At the square there were lots of people chatting and strolling around, kids playing, very nice to watch from the balcony. Bathroom was very beautiful, large and clean. Personnel was very nice and showed us on a map what was there to see and where to eat. Unfortunately we arrived on a Monday night, so most of the restaurants she mentioned were closed, but with some help from the nice paople of Foggia we found a nice pizzeria. The city itself doesn't have a lot to offer, since it got bombed during WW II, but it's great base for trips in the area. We went to Monte San Angelo, very nice trip on a mountain where it's was nice and fresh and with a great view. Negative: Breakfast is served in the room, which is fine, but when we arrived we immediately had to order breakfast for the next morning. It would have been better if there was a menu in the room from which you could choose, so you had a bit more time to decide. Breakfast itself was very well!.
