B&B Murex

We enjoyed our 3 day stay at this centrally located B&B. The hosts were engaging and helpful throughout the entire stay. Antonio prepared quality breakfasts, including a quality take away breakfast for our early departure. Antonio had to move us to our originally reserved room after the first night upon discovering we had been checked into the wrong room. While the rooms were of comparable size and general set-up, the first room had much better furnishings to store our luggage, i. E. A bench at the foot of the bed and a square soft cushion in the corner of the room. Antonio lent us a chair for luggage storage which served as a partial solution.

Loved everything about the place location, room.
Size, breakfast and service. Walking distance to all the major sites. Yes the stairs are steep in the entry way so for those who are stair challenged it may not be a good choice but if you go slow it’s worth it!

Exceptional on all counts. Antonio was the perfect host and provided everything you could possibly need while staying at the property. The location in the old city is perfect for sightseeing. It is also an easy walk to the train station for further exploration around Puglia. We couldn’t imagine staying elsewhere if given the opportunity to return to Bari.

Me and my wife stayed at this amazing place. Super friendly and helpful lovely people and amazing breakfast. The location is perfect. We stayed 2 nights then travelled on but loved it here so much we came back for another night before flying home.

We enjoyed our stay at this delightful B&B in Bari. It is in the heart of the old town. Perfect base from which to see explore the old town.
And beyond. Antonio met us promptly on arrival, hauled our luggage up the steep steps and checked us in swiftly. Provided great information about what to see and do in the area. Our room was small but clean, light filled, airy and beautifully decorated. Comfortable bed and space overall. A small balcony that overlooked the street below. Breakfast was served on a lovely rooftop terrace and was more than adequate. Antonio was welcoming and very helpful with whatever questions and assistance we needed during our stay. His place is a real hole away from home. There was a common.
Area just outside the rooms that served as front desk as well as a room in which to relax and help yourself to the refreshments left in the fridge or on the counters. Antonio thought of everything to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I would definetly stay and again and recommend this place to others. Location was excellent.

A delightful property in the heart of the old city. Directly at the beginning of the street where table after table of hand made Orecchiette are offered for sale. Walkable to all parts of the old city. The best gelato shop is only a few meters from the Murex. Service and amenities and breakfast were all very good. Recommended for adventurous travelers!

Made sure we had everything we needed and helped us find good parking nearby. The room was comfortable and the breakfast on the quaint rooftop was authentic and delicious. It is a prime location — so cute.

A cute and charming Bed and Breakfast in Bari, Italy. The host is friendly and attentive. He helps with luggage and accommodates requests readily. The room was very clean and well appointed and included all necessities. Our room had a small balcony. Our room was called “La Citta”. The small lounge has an area to make coffee and has water and other soft drinks for guests. Breakfast was served in our room (due to weather), and we were able to select the breakfast items we wanted. The B&B is across from the Castle and in a very central location. It has a steep staircase that should be noted if you have mobility issues. However, this is clearly advertised in booking platforms.

What an exceptional location and accommodations. Alice and Antonio, owners of the BnB have poured their love and hospitality of Bari into making this property a stay you don’t want to miss. The property is located just inside the old Centre of Bari steps away from the magnificent restored castle. Rooms were nicely decorated and updated to standards of a 4 plus or 5 star hotel.
Our host and hostess provided amenities throughout our stay including wine, beer, colas, bottled water and coffee. Our choice of breakfast items each morning was served on the terrace overlooking the rooftops of adjoining buildings. During evenings we enjoyed sharing a nightly glass of wine while taking in the cool breeze and sights. The terrace is furnished with very comfortable furnishings. Recommendations for local dining and sightseeing were shared including a map with directions. Alice and Antonio deserve a 10 for their thoughtful renovations and hospitality throughout our stay. BnB Murex is a stay you don’t want to miss if visiting Bari.

I stayed at B&B Murex in Bari Vecchia, and it was an incredible experience! The accommodation is absolutely beautiful, and I couldn’t find a single fault. Due to my early flight, Antonio kindly let me check in much earlier than expected. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything you need.
One of my favorite parts was the 24/7 access to the stunning rooftop terrace, where breakfast is served. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, with all ingredients being local and fresh. They were also happy to accommodate any special requests for breakfast, which was a lovely touch. Besides coffee and water, there was access to other beverages throughout the day, making it feel even more welcoming.
The location is perfect—right in the heart of the old town, just steps away from Strada delle Orecchiette, where the local women prepare fresh Orecchiette every day. I also really appreciated that sustainability and recycling are priorities at B&B Murex, which made the stay feel even better.
Antonio was incredibly helpful and friendly, offering great tips and taking the time to ensure every guest had a great stay. It was a flawless experience, and I highly recommend B&B Murex to anyone visiting Bari!

This was a fantastic place to stay in the lovely city of Bari. It was sunny and sparkling clean. Host Antonio provided lots of suggestions and helpful ideas, and could not have been more welcoming, and provides a terrific fresh breakfast up on the gem of a roof terrace. Location is perfect, rooms are quiet and spacious. Steep stairs can be an adventure with luggage but not a problem for us. Highly recommend! This place had something special you would never get with an Air BnB or with a bigger hotel.

Such a lovely place next to Arco Basso! This B&B provides everything you need: a delicious breakfast on the rooftop, very clean rooms, a small kitchenette with complimentary water, coffee and soft drinks, towels for the beach and most importantly, Antonio is a wonderful host. We stayed here for three days and had a fantastic time.

If you’re in Bari this is the place you must stay at! My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here — Antonio went above and beyond. From the location, breakfast every morning to the beautifully decorated rooms and private rooftop — everything was perfect!

We only had the chance to stay for one night, but we wished we could have stayed longer. Antonio, the receptionist, provided exceptional service and was extremely helpful in every way, making our brief stay truly memorable. The location is fantastic, within walking distance to everything. The breakfast was delicious, and the terrace was beautiful. Everything was spotless, and the amenities provided were more than sufficient. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a place to stay in Bari.

Definitely the best place we have stayed at. Breakfast is really really good, good quality en lots of variety. Everyday you can choose what you want for breakfast. The list to choose from contains a great amount of variety in products. So you can have a great filling breakfast without unnecessarily wasting food. The host Antonio is clear and friendly in communication. When we arrived he gave us a lot of good recommendations. A part of our luggage didn’t come with the plane and needed to be brought later but Antonio was really helpful and wanted to help as good as possible, which was really nice.
So if you want to stay in Bari this is the place to go to.

This is a beautiful little B&B. The location was perfect, next to the fort and the “orecchiette ladies”. Antonio was a wonderful host, helping us navigate the city, pointing out the best sites and his favorite restaurants, making reservations for us, etc, etc. I highly recommend this inn when you visit Bari.

The rooms were spotlessly clean and well-organized, the street can be noisy at night. However, the well-sealed windows ensured peaceful sleep.
