Enjoyed the vacation "village" atmosphere much more than the formal hotel. Food was delicious and varied. Pool excellent. Gym poor.

Good : The hotel is located in a quiet area of Eilat walking distance away from the coral reef and beach. The area is very beautiful with rooms sitting on the hill and overlooking sea. They provide golf cars to drive you around the hotel. I found it quieter that other hotels in Eilat. The reception was very friendly and rooms are big. Bad: Rooms are very dated. All the furniture is quite old and falling appart in some places. Non reception staff wasn't that friendly and welcoming, rarely smiled. On one of the days they run out of beach towels and staff just told us off. Mixed feelings overall, not sure if we're going to stay there again.

Very charming hotel, I loved the working team and the Chinese décor of the hotel. Wood and glass houses give the hotel an atmosphere of vacation and a refreshing feeling.
Benefits: Gorgeous long-booker and a variety of beautiful standard double room with bath and private out-of-the-minute outdoor price (standard double room) Disadvantages: There are a lot of ups and downs to take into account people with foot problems and adults have no beach inside the hotel itself but there is a guarded place on the beach that belongs to the hotel, 10 minutes away Hit.

It's a beautiful view. Good conditions for active and passive rest. Delicious cuisine. A sea of impressions. Near the aquarium, the beach. Relatively close dolphinarium and other attractions of Elat.

Unique hotel, Thai style, located at the southern part of Eilat, right across the beach, with lovely view and great location. Need taxi or car to get to the center. High quality food beside weekends mainly due to Kosher limitations. Little old but well maintained. Villa Shangrila is reccomend mostly for couples not for families. Very nice pool with a beautiful sea view.

Awesome hotel with isolated cottages, makes you feel like you're in Thailand. The breakfast is good and the pool is nice. Good place if you want privacy and to be alone, but if you want access to the beach I would go for the ochid reef hotel instead.

The best hotel I have ever been at in Eilat! The food is out of this world, the staff is kind, its not located at the center of eilat but I find it to be an advantage, for the reefs at the edge of Eilat are much more beautiful. And the best thing in this place — there is an arcade stand near the pool where you can catch fish for coins!

We arrived in a good mood… and from the threshold… The rooms are dirty (we had 3 rooms)! From one room did not work magnetic key! Always had to call to open a room!
In the evening we ordered a meal for the children, and we have four of them (4.5, 6, 6 and 8) and the children were tired…
We were brought anything, but not our order! The products were not the first freshness! Three times were wrong with the order. At the end of the patience burst, we returned the order, Poprili return the money and we had to go to the store for groceries, ie, the children were very hungry, and the restaurants were not places. Three hours the children suffered and they were not fed in the hotel!

Pleasant and not usual place. The food was excellent. Beautiful grounds. The only thing was a lot of flies. No beach.

We had an early check-in request but it didn't help and had to wait. The grounds are beautiful, there is a hint to the rooms on the tuk-tuk. The staff are responsive. Stunning view from the room to the mountains and sea. Clean pool. The room is beautiful.

Nice, quiet and dreamy, and we even noticed some deers walking by.

My review of the spa at the hotel. My husband and I lived at the Orchid Reef Hotel. Our hotel did not have a spa, I was offered a massage at hotel Orchid, which is located 1, 5 km away. The receptionist was polite at the entrance. I arrived early and was offered to wait. There was a cooler in the waiting room, dried fruit. Played pleasant music, soft sofa, design on the Asian theme, in general the atmosphere was located. BUT the administrator's conversations with the masseuse on personal topics, loudly, with swearing of men and discussion of who is what sad and "should eat" discouraged and confused mood. It was loud and inappropriate with the client! Why I had to listen to this I didn't understand. Then came "my" masseur, friendly and polite. The massage itself did not impress, not very professionally, perhaps someone would fit as just relaxation, but I asked me to "wash". The cost is 200 shekels. Expensive. In Moscow for this money you can make a paid clinic to make an excellent professional massage with a specialist with a diploma. I don't recommend it.

Great not a standard hotel. Convenient with children. Far from the center, but having a car is not a problem. For that nearby sea observatory and dolphin reef… Beaches.

Wonderful hotel. Unique atmosphere with cinematic views. Built like a small Thai village.

One of the nicest hotels of this type I've ever been to. Authentic, with good views of the Red Sea and mountains right from the balcony of the room, wonderful energy, wonderful birds sing in the morning. In general, you have to leave, but I do not want to leave. ) You can certainly find fault with some points, as the fact that at dinner in the restaurant it is impossible to drink tea/coffee (for religious reasons dairy/meat kitchen) as a result of which the dessert has to drink boiled water, leaves from the trees float in but these flaws are so inconsequential that you can put up with them. As a rule, I'm a very picky guest and rarely what hotel I put 5 degrees, more often three or four, but I recommend this one!

Great place, one of the most beautiful and charming hotels. Green, clean with spectacular neighborhood near to the coral underwater observatory and many other activities. This is a perfect place if you want to spend a day close to nature and top ranked atrractions in Eliat.

The place is beautifully located on the slope of the mountain. Cabins give a nice feeling of intimacy and the one we stayed in was well-maintained. The staff is really helpful, the breakfasts offer an immense choice of delicious food, both European and Israeli.

Disappointing. I used to go here when I was a child and used to be a lot of fun. Now it’s different. The food is not fresh and the rooms are not maintained as a 5 star hotel should. The cleaning lady did take the towels but did not replace them, for both of our rooms. The jacuzzi next to the pool was not warm and was barely even working. The ac in the room was not working at all… hope things will change soon, this is quite sad to see…

For 285$ for a night in off-season, you would expect: To have coffee and/or tea in Friday supper, To have much more politeness from the hotel crew (mostly reception), To have that edge over mid-class hotels, that cost much lower. Great hotel. Thai architecture and style. Brings peace of mind with views to the magnificent Red Sea. Location is 7 minutes drive from City center but there are shuttle which makes it accessable. Food served here is moderate (breakfast & dinners) but Kosher (maybe this is the reason) Room maintenance is great. Like it a lot. For sure will come again.

Nice hotel, but the housekeeping service is very bad, and it seems there is lack of maintenance all over. They took our towels and didn’t supplied new ones. Towels are dirty and sheets are torn. Also took sheet of extra bad and didn’t brought us new one. The bath is very filthy in many rooms as I heard several people talking about it The wood shape is very bad almost falling apart. The hotel is very far from the city center so if you’re not mobile it will cost some money to take taxies all around. Probably I won’t book here again. Breakfast is quite nice and the dining room staff is very pleasant.

The hotel is beautiful with a good structure. But the service is bad. The information on the Web site is different from those presented to us when the check-in is made. First you pay and then you have some details that were not explained on the website. If you are looking to enjoy the night in Eilat, this is not the best hotel for you. The swimming pool, Jacuzzi, Giminasia, SPA and bike rental close the 18h00. Although some things are explained on the Web site, the others do not. I mean, you enjoy your paradise to the 18h00 because then it turns you into a pumpkin.

This hotel looks like paradise and has a nice atmosphere, but… This hotel ends your night at 7pm and is extremely far from the city (they tell you to take the bus to the city, but the last bus back is at 9:30pm). Nothingdescribed and the staff do not take any responsibility and simply do not care about the guests. There is no snorkel rental as described, and like the pool, jacuzzi, and gym, the bike rental also ends at 7pm (although not written anywhere). The hotel is catered for kids and does not offer anything for teenagers and adults to do after 7pm. If you are looking to pay for a room and a pool, you can go to another other in Eilat, that is closer to the city. I do not recommend this hotel, unless you have kids. It may look amazing by appearance, but the staff are not polite and the hotel services not as described.

Asian style Hotel Rooms Type Bungalows great if you are looking to relax and disconnect you can choose from a basic bungalow, to a villa with private pool good restaurant good service if you have any glue are the slopes, because it is made on the slopes of A mountain, but the staff gets you up and down in the TUC-TUC every time you need it the beaches are not very accessible to the public because they are reefs and are protected, but hiring you can dive through the reefs the hotel pool is pretty good.

Very nice hotel. Not crowdy nowadays. The hotel is based on tuktuk for movement up the hill, not recommend to go there with children or babies. Tuktuk have a long wait time sometimes …

We stayed at the Orchid a week before Peasach. This is not our first time so we know the Hotel and like it very much. The room was clean but not the attic, there was pot with dead plants at the balcony, the staff was nice but not trained enough, the attic is very dangerous for small kids and if that's not enough our freind got a room with no cylinder on the door and this ws not fixed for 3 days. The worst thing was on Saturday, we where asked to check out on 11:00 AM! This was a surprise to us and when we comlained we where told that that was the deal with our travel agent and it's our problem he did'nt inform us. I have never heard of such an early check out on a Saturday! All in all it was a medium Experience that left us with a Bad taste. We will not return to the Orchid Hotel and advise our freinds not to do so either.

The rooms were very nice. Try and get the uphill villas. The food wasnt as good as the rooms or the venue.

A great hotel. Everything was great, the food was tasty and the hotel's crew was very nice. The room was perfect. There is a beach very close to the hotel-only 200 m.

Beautiful setting south of all the beach resorts. Friendly staff, and away from all the kid punks or "arsim". Also great breakfast that only Israel hotels know how to provide.
