It used to be our favourite hotel in the world and we would visit at least once a year for many years but since a bit over a year the atmosphere, friendliness, cleaning, service: somehow it all went downhill. It is still one of the most beautiful places on this globe but the personal attention, friendliness and outstanding quality has dissapeared and one feels more and more like a money machine who is only allowed to deliver shekels as fast as possible… It doesn't help that the management suddenly divides between first and second class guests… The Spa used to be complimentary for everyone but now it's not anymore. They changed it over a year ago but didn't tell us it changed when we booked so this was a very unpleasant surprise. No bathrobes anymore, cheaper hotel soap, fungus in the refrigerator and broken shower doors… You can feel it's going in a downward spiral. This year the biggest problem was that a staff member almost ran over us while driving like crazy around a bent close to the central tree. If we wouldn't have jumped aside we would have been hospitalized. Meanwhile some more unpleasant incidents occurred with the staff last year and this year and we wrote this to the management but both years didn't get a reply from them. As said: it's a fantastic place and we hope the atmosphere and respect for guests will turn back the way it was until a bit more then a year ago cause it was really our all time favourite place. We used to come there for the excellent hotel ánd the great nature. Now just for the great nature… And that's sad.
