Good place for a tasty sumptuous meal. Good service. Good ambience. However the dining area was a bit cramped up. Not enough movement space between the tables. Air-conditioning was cool.

Best kept secret in Jerusalem. Top quality, sensitive, caring and friendly hotel staff owned by Christians. Stayed there several months over the years.

A nice hotel in Arabic area. It's ok to walk during the night as I was a bit concerned before visit. Walking distance to the old city. Stuff there are all very attentive and warm, they remember you since first day. Clean with good facilities. Breakfast buffet is good. Would recommended.

Hotel of course Arabic. Decent food normal accommodation. Located in fairly central place. Silent. Affordable price.

The room was clean and comfortable.

Good location. Enjoyed the nice dining room, large room, with soft beds and a nice view from the Windows.

We chose this place for the location, very close to the Damascus Gate. We were greeted by a very helpful and polite staff (a girl in particular, Reem I hope I wrote it right) the rooms and the hotel in general were clean. Good at that breakfast!

All well here-nice staff, old city just minutes to go, Hotel room — enough space for one or two people to stay. I'm in first floor-noise from the street-hope be gone by tonight. I'm in my first noon here-cant tel anything about food, but first impression is very positive.

The hotel is not bad, the worst, which is located in the Arab neighborhood of Jerusalem which is pretty dodgy.

A delicious budget hotel in the eastern part of Jerusalem. Friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was in a large room — prison character — with coffee we were poured in, the rest was average. The rooms were quite large, there was a small TV, the view was possible in the district.

Modern Hotel built or modernised recently. The setting is like that of a Western hotel but some services were decommissioned because they probably didn't make it: Rooftop bar, indoor shop, indoor bar all closed.
The staff are courteous and attentive (to be in the Arab part this is already a hallmark).
The rooms are not large with a small bathroom. Unfortunately the bathroom still has the shower curtain. The beds are new and comfy. Housekeeping is acceptable.
The neighborhood is… In East Jerusalem and you notice. Nothing fancy or clean. But it is 10 minutes from Herod's door of the old town.
Prices are below average in Jerusalem, expensive city like Tel Aviv.

Jerusalem Ritz is unbelievable! As an American traveler and group leader for a guided tour of 36 college students, this hotel was a gem. I wasn't quite sure of the facilities knowing that this was an older hotel and in East Jerusalem. But it was delightful! The facilities are renovated. The rooftop terrace overlooks the Old City and is a 5 minute walk from both the Damascus Gate or Garden Tomb. There's an incredible bookstore, Educational Bookshop, nearby that also demands attention. By far, the best part of the Ritz is the staff. Particularly John and Yassar. They are so courteous and agreeable. Every morning and evening we shared jokes; they're highly attentive to your needs as a group and able to help accommodate pickier American eaters (though the food is fantastic on it's own! ). I know some Americans may fear the location of East Jerusalem. You shouldn't! My group of college students (guys and girls) and 6 adults never once felt uncomfortable. A very clean hotel. A must stay!

Have been with my wife for Christmas. I liked everything: clean Rooms, hearty tasty Breakfast, Staff is polite and sociable.

Staying here as part of my trip to Jerusalem! Its a lovely hotel is eastern part of the city.
