A great location. Excellent staff. First room we were given was right next to some loud motors. Asked to be shifted and got a very pleasant room. Definitely a good hotel that won't disappoint.

Very enjoyable experience for overnight stay in Donegal Town, room had a wonderful view of the harbour, excellent breakfast.

Staff were nice and helpful, but be prepared to carry your own luggage up and down stairs many time. There is a lift, but even then there will be stairs. They do not have bellhops or staff assigned to help bring your luggage to your room, so they had to find a housekeeper to help me. We were assigned an interior room that over looked the air conditioning unit and the roof. Irish breakfast was good, but not fabulous. Hotel next door had excellent food… go there to eat!

Had a couple out nights here. Room good. Food good. Bar good. Staff very helpful. Lacks own car park facilities. Would certainly go back.

I had some unpleasant experience this evening (Tuesday, April 17, 2018) that I want to share with everyone. I first entered this location (and it will definitely be the last time) to take dinner with two friends and colleagues. It seems that my order was messed up in the kitchen and I had to look at my friends (while they were eating). The manager on duty (a very careful and professional person) has noticed and tried to fix the mistake … I got the order after 30 minutes but … the steak was completely burnt out … even in the darkest nightmares I did not expect that. I accept that a food order is tangled or delayed but I will never accept such a lack of professionalism. (they actually rushed the order without without worrying about the client). The manager offered to prepare another steak, but I honestly did not know how to get there faster … I was still hungry after almost 2 hours and I had a ash taste in the mouth. (literally) My advice — try to have a dinner at another location.

Lovely hotel nice rooms food nice good entertainment on a night time and great base to travel out landing area's.

Lovely view from the room, nice decor inside main hotel but a freezing cold room and a cold shower and a cold reception at reception when informing the hotel about it — sorry Central Hotel for the one star; but we didn't even get an apology — the massage therapy was great so giving an extra star for that :)

Lovely people and I would recommend to anyone including friends and family great.

Very enjoyable stay, good value, lovely dinner and breakfast. Probably didn't make the most of the facilities though. Staff were very nice.

Just back from. A New Year break. We had a great time, the hotel was lovely the room clean & comfortable. The staff were friendly and food excellent. The entertainment on New Year's eve was excellent, The Paul Kelly band had everyone up dancing. Looking forward to returning soon.

The worst was to endure a single (Asian!? ) song that looped through the breakfast room (2 mornings in a row)

Really enjoyed the restaurant. Extensive Thai menu & the casual dining menu was brilliant. Friendly staff & a beautiful decor. Perfect for a family meal.

My family of four stayed here last week as part of a larger tour group. Most of the staff were friendly but when it came to the prearranged breakfast time (in order for our group to leave as scheduled) one not-so-cheerful staff member was not so friendly and refused us entry​ to the restaurant area. The location is terrific and we enjoyed a parade in the main square not long after arriving. The rooms were quaint and the towel size stingy. This hotel is fine if your looking for a period feel.

At the show an evening with the stars. Great show. Food great and stuff exceptional.

Good hotel, very well situated for exploring quaint Donegal town. Ask for Room 361 if you can! Excellent view!

I've stayed and attended meetings here. Staff friendly, some of the rooms a little dated and I'm not a fan or ironing in the corridor but overall not bad.

Great choice for a stay in Donegal had a lovely room with a beautiful view staff are excellent will definitely be back first class.

We stayed here overnight at a weekend and arrived quite late. The staff at the reception were really friendly, accommodating and informative. The room was a triple and to our surprise held 3 beds (1 double and 2 twin). It was spacious even with these beds, a table and chair, chest of drawers and wardrobe. However there were not enough plugs in the room to charge 3 phones, and the ones that were available were in very awkward positions. Also the Wi-Fi was spotty in the bedroom (though worked perfectly in the lobby and restaurant) The bathroom was very clean but as usual, when traveling with more than 2 people, there were not enough towels. Food in the Upper Deck bad was amazing! good size portions, lovely food and a good choice for a late sat night service. However the staff in the bar wee overworked, grouchy and quite abrupt. When one of us asked for a spoon to eat the soup we were met with a grunt and an eyeroll. I believe this was "end of shift" syndrome rather than usual demeanor as there were 3 memebers of staff for the whole bar. Clearly not enough based on the queue at the bar. We went to Just William for breakfast and it was lovely. Good choice of food hot and cold, served with tea and coffee and toast. (Though the toast was a bit of a nightmare as the machine was burning one side and barely toasting the other) There is no parking at this hotel, but the hotel will pay for your public parking.

I was very disappointed with my stay in the central at the weekend. When we arrived and booked into our room that was supposed to be a delux room with a sea view, was looking into a brick wall with no sea view. I was then told that all the other sea view rooms were gone so we were given another room that was just ok. I was told I would get a discount which was only around 8 euros of when I went to pay the bill. To top it of the room was cold and the water was cold. Feeling annoyed.

Food, service, hotel fantastic, loved it.

Basic breakfast. Hotel lobby has a nice atmosphere, but rooms were simple.
