Was at cliff house Hotel on Tuesday 21st of July. Fab hotel staff excellent. Me and my sister were there for lunch. I got the fish and chips was very disappointed with the chips I thought they would be homemade chips but they were not.

I usually spend the day at the Spa when I visit the Cliff House — such a relaxing place to be right by the sea! The bar restaurant has the best lunches with the most beautiful views. I can’t think of a better place to spend your time. ❤️

No words for this whole experience from door staff to receptionists, bar staff to wellness spa staff I cannot fault anyone. It's a home from home and beyond. No problem too small you are guaranteed to be looked after. Food was outstanding. All the staff went above and beyond to make our stay one to remember. Thank you all ❤️❤️

Beautiful hotel, amazing staff extremely friendly and very helpful, great food and very reasonably priced, attention to detail was superb, it was my first visit and I’m looking forward to next visit, highly recommend a visit you won’t be disappointed.

The views throughout the hotel are stunning. The comfort and atmosphere are second to none and the service from the staff is exceptional. The rooms are beautifully decorated and spacious with fantastic views of the sea and beach. Your every need is catered for and the friendly helpful staff really go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. This remains my favourite Hotel in Ireland.

This place is amazing. From start to finish all staff treated us so well. As we were on our honeymoon we were given an upgrade to a suite which I can only describe as luxury with an amazing view. We hope to return yearly.

A unique hotel, even for Ireland. Beautiful setting and sea views. Michelen star restaurant onsite. Food is exceptional. Best chowder I've ever had in the bar. Beautiful pool and facilities. Can't say enough about this place. Will always return. Expensive, but you get what you pay for.

Really nice hotel over looking Ardmore and the sea. Great place for a relaxing lunch and one or two glasses of vino sitting out on the terrace enjoying this wonderful sunshine we've been having. Really friendly staff great food and service lots of attention to detail and great choose on both food and wine menu. Been here a couple of times for food and can not fault it. Worth a visit.

Food was absolutely delicious, staff were a bit all over the place though, took four of them to serve us one course. We had to ask for water, just got two small glasses, no bottle or jug, no ice or lemon. My partner ordered the steak and had to call someone to get him a steak knife and salt and pepper. I had the chowder which had very little fish in it. No one came to follow up and check if everything was ok. We were not offered a dessert menu either. It was a beautiful hotel with beautiful food, just let down a bit by the staff unfortunately.

The hotel has a nice location and is very clean. We had a terase room and it was very comfortable and spacious. However breakfast was only mediocre, the Michelin star restaurant was what I would consider mediocre, very expensive and dragged on for hours. I also ate in the bar, the food here was fine but not a selling point for the hotel. The Spa is average, our treatments were poor and definitely over priced! The pool is nothing spectacular, there are only two sun loungers at the pool and the outdoor sauna is tiny, almost like an after thought. All in all I will not be back to this over priced hotel. It just was not for me!

Expensive but spectacular, but the impeccable staff make it worth every cent. The sea view from our room was wonderful, although unable to use the deck due to the people next door continually smoking, which prevented us from even opening the patio door on a particularly warm day. The sooner smoking is banned in any part of hotels, the better. If you can, try the taster menu, so much is grown by the chef, or sourced locally. Eating clay is no longer an infant experience! ☺ Definitely somewhere to put on your "must visit" list. Delightful walks in the area too.

Fantastic experience. Staff were amazing always around but not intruding. Had a fabulous massage in the spa and taster menu was such a great experience.

Beautiful location. Ordered a drink on the terrace for sunset. Waited, and waited … decided to go in and get the drink myself. Nice staff, but service needs some improvement.

The location of the hotel is very good, as (in our rooms) the sea is close to gripping. The food was excellent and the service very good! The pool is a bit small but ok.
Little tip, the Cliff Walk is worth it!

If you are driving by, stop here for a drink. It's a bit pricey for other places in the area but you are paying for the wonderful view. You can sit on the outdoor eating balcony and enjoy a drink while watching the waves of the ocean.

Amazing hotel — — very modern stylings. The views are just jaw-dropping, from the hotel rooms and from the restaurant and bar as well. Basically just plan to relax and gape at the sea while enjoying a cocktail or a good book. It's right near St. Declan's Well (ruins nearby) — — just a short walk away.

Myself and my friend went to the cliff house hotel Last weekend to enjoy a cocktail on a lovely sunny day whilst staying in Ardmore for the weekend. When we received the bill we noticed some errors… when we went to pay I started to say to the person there was an error and I was told to wait, which I did. A young waitress asked if she could help and I explained to her… she was most helpful and she tried again to explain to the person who was on the till, and he also took her very rudely … she checked the price of our cocktails and agreed that we had been overcharged. He again continued with what he was trying to do on the till… Both myself and my friend as well as the waitress were getting increasing embarrassed standing in a full resturant. he walked away and left us all in dismay. A manageress then came over and busily apologies and gave us back our refunds… we were shocked, both that we had been overcharged and the manner in which we treated … very embarrassing. This is not the service one should expect from a 5☆ hotel. To be overcharged by the hotel and treated in a very rude manner to a situation created by the hotel… not a good experience … check your bill twice before you pay …

Such a beautiful and relaxing place. Staff were so friendly and very accommodating. Didn't try the restaurant but the bar food was excellent, although not cheap.

We checked in to the cliff house hotel on February 28th 2018 for 2 night. Due to very icy conditions we had to leave our car in the village. The general manager Adriaan Bartels sent down the hotels landrover driven by the maintenance manager John to pick us up. On arrival we where greeted by warm friendly staff and quickly show to our room. During our two night stay we experienced excellent personal service, top quality food and felt right at home at the Cliff house hotel.
Because of storm Emma and very bad driving conditions. We had to extend our stay by one night. Which the staff accommodated with open arms. Again we where made feel like we where right at home and nothing was to much trouble.
If you are looking for a top quality hotel with warm friendly staff, excellent food in a superb location look no further than the Cliff house hotel.

Lovely view, hotel nice but very expensive for what it is. Main restaurant was closed on our visit and the bar food was OK but very expensive. If the restaurant is closed there's not much else to do or eat in the area.

Melt in your mouth food, even the fat on the beef tasted fantastic. Portions aren't massive but it leaves more room for pints. Great setting and staff very friendly and helpful.

Amazing place, came here for my 30th and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Spa was absolutely amazing, immaculately clean. Extremely friendly staff through the hotel, stunning scenery, we ate in the bar which was just out of this world, the food was some of the finest food I have ever eaten. Can’t recommend this place highly enough, thank you.

Absolutely amazing stay! We did the guided cliff walk on arrival and it was so interesting. There are Hunter wellies at the hotel that you can use for the walk also which was very convenient. The food at the bar was great, fresh and light. The outdoor hot tub was bliss. The pool isn't very deep but perfect for lounging. Turn down service in the evening was a lovely way to end the night. Breakfast is superb and again light and fresh. Can't wait to come back again!

Nice hotel but to stay locked in it. No leisure around, the nearest city within an hour drive, no car, there are only three buses a day. Luck.

I had a wonderful stay here, the views are outstanding and the hotel is beautiful inside. The spa area is very well laid out and the out door hot tub was a lovely. The staff were extremely helpful in every way. The Michelin star restaurant was out of this world, a really wonderful experience, with 5 star service that hasn't lost its Irish charm. Will visit again without question.

My Fiancée and I have just returned from a two night mid week stay at the Cliff House Hotel, and to say we did not want to leave is a complete understatement… I planned for this hotel to be the setting where I was to propose to my partner, and I'm so glad I chose here. All the staff were so friendly & helpful, they upgraded our room, had Roses and champagne organised in the Suite for our arrival, as well as petals shaped into a heart on the bed, they also had complimentary …Prosecco delivered to the room once I had got the whole asking to marry me thing out the way with. The first night we had a meal in the bar and this was by no means your average bar food as both starters and mains came with paired wines, and the quality of food and service was magnificent. Our second day consisted of an amazing breakfast, a trip to the onsite Spa for my partner (she loved it), some room service for lunch, and a trip down to the outdoor Jacuzzi, Pool, and Steam Room/Sauna which was amazing and so relaxing.
That evening we were booked into the main restaurant, and it became clear as to why they are a recipient of a Michelin star, again, the the food and service were of the highest standards. The Suite we stayed in was 22, and with its living room area, flat screen TV's, and double balcony with spectacular bay views really made it special for us.

Staff were very slow. We had to place our food order twice. Every thing arrived at different times one of our drinks order went to a different table. We were lucky that the place wasn't busy or we would still be waiting on our food, 3 days later.

The restaurant is impeccable. Dining here is a culinary experience to be treasured. Every plate of food that comes from the kitchen is a piece of art. The FOH are highly trained and create a relaxing atmosphere that compliments the beautiful aesthetical features of the room. This spa must be one of the best in Ireland! Overlooking Ardmore bay, it has the perfect setting, but the nature of the staff is what sets it a cut above the rest. They are always greeting you with a smile and a willingness to help. Treatments are exceptional and guaranteed to make you feel better mentally and physically. I especially love the pool where you can indulge in personal reflection or enjoy some bit of exercise.! 5*s.

A picturesque gem! I've been lucky enough to stay on several occasions and it seems to only get better. They have such fantastic friendly and helpful staff. The house restaurant is exceptional. The tasting menu is worth every penny and paired with the spectacular ocean views is probably unmatched anywhere in Ireland. This is a wow location!

Nice spot. Probably needs a bit of TLC I wouldn't rate it five star. Good four definitely but the attention to detail takes away from it being a five.

The views were unbelievable, the complementary breakfast was out of this world, and the staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. But overall there was a lack of attention to detail. As we entered the room, the inexpertly repair damage to the hallway wall, detracted from the beautiful view of the room and sea beyond. The room we stayed in had a full glass wall facing the sea and a balcony, but the balconies are separated by glass dividers, leaving no privacy for those on the balcony or those in the adjacent room. From our balcony, we could see into our next door neighbors room, and vice versa, and while on the balcony, we had a floor to sky view of anyone on the other balconies on our level, as they did of us. The bathroom tub was luxurious, and the bathroom itself beautiful and well appointed, but if you looked up there was un-repaired flaking plaster above you. When we turned back the bed and adjusted the pillow, the under sheet did not fully cover the head of the bead, leaving the mattress exposed. None of this to say it was not worth it. The view is unparalleled, but as they say the devil was in the details, and we had expected something a bit more of a hotel with this reputation.

A hotel that really is as lovely as the pictures. Breakfast in the room was one of the loveliest experiences and dinner the night before was a standout dining experience. Living in London we have been to some lovely restaurants but this was superb. The staff are lovely, kind and happy to chat which you don't always find in 5* hotels. The porter was a gentleman and went​ out of his way to help us. The swimming pool was fantastic and quiet and some of the best changing facilities we've had. The spa is highly recommended — our massage and seaweed bath was brilliant It's such a shame we only had time to spend one night there but we crammed a lot in! All in all a wonderful experience and we would love to return.

What a venue. Treated like royalty from the second you reach the door to when you leave. Staff couldn't be more professional and friendly. The setting is incredible. We were bumped up to a suite which we were gobsmacked at. The bar food was to class, array of cocktails and drinks available was endless. Breakfast beautiful and everything presented in the classiest of manners. The pool and surrounding areas were picturesque. Floating around watching the wildlife outside in the bay relaxing. Thank you so much and we will be back. Our only disappointment was that we only stayed for one night!

This is truely a 5 star hotel without all the faff of most hotels of a similar standing. Firstly the location is absolutely stunning. Built into the side of a cliff facing out into a bay on the Atlantic. Even on a stormy day it was spectacular. The staff are extremely warm and friendly but still very professional. The rooms are magnificent all with sea views large beds and bathrooms with big showers and separate baths. The pool and spa is wonderful with outdoor jacuzzi, indoor steam and sauna. There is a Michelin star restaurant, this is also a bar that serves top notch food — better than many restaurants. Great selection of spirits there too. In the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger "I'll be back"

Wonderful hotel and staff. We stayed for 1 night. Food was exquisite and heard people around me verifying same viewpoint. Beautiful rock pool and open air jacuzzi to swim in and lounge around in. Will definitely be back again.

Very very very nice hotel.

Went for Afternoon Tea there which was beyond all words. The staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for you. Was well worth the expense. If I have the money I'd love to stay there for a night.

Had a fantastic stay! We didn't want to leave for our next stop over. A hidden gem in a beautiful place and a sanctuary for serenity. Cannot wait to come back and stay longer next time.

We had scones and coffee. Scones were nice, jam was great but the cream was very strange — all bubbly. View is really nice from the bar.
