This is a special place. I stayed for one night in May (and if I had known about the beauty of this community, I’d have stayed a week). Deirdre, Brendan, their daughter who checked me in, and gorgeous retriever Mossie were the kindest hosts. Cé Hideout is surrounded by breathtaking mountains and sea views and is a short (and special) drive from busy Dingle, so yes, indeed, the ideal hideout when craving some quiet. The room was spotless and frankly luxurious. The drive up from Kerry through Caherconree and traversing the peninsula via Conor Pass are not to be missed. Nearby Brandon Point is a surreal location to catch a sunset.
I also must mention the kindness, understanding, and flexibility of Brendan and Deirdre after a huge blunder I made in leaving WITH my room key, and not noticing until I was at least 40km away. By a stroke of true Irish luck I was in the right place at the right time.
I will be back soon to climb Mt Brandon. Thank you all.

CE Hideout is the best accommodation we had on the Dingle Peninsula. Clean, modern, spacious, super friendly and located perfectly to end our day hiking over Mt Brandon on the Dingle Way. I expected something very different and was surprised by the new, immaculate and high quality finishing of our room and surroundings (lovely gardens). The owner even gave us a lift to the next village to have breakfast on the morning we left! A most memorable place.
