Shout out to Noreen at the Brandon Hotel restaurant! I traveled to Ireland in October and stopped at the Brandon Hotel before catching my bus from Tralee to Dublin. I had some time so I ordered a coffee and had the pleasure of meeting a local! I enjoyed my chat with Noreen and she could not have been any more hospitable. She was funny and so kind, she even walked me out to show me exactly where my bus would be. Thank you for leaving an impression on me!
Stayed here last year for annual function & got food poisoning so stayed in rose hotel this year. No comparison. Attended annual function in brandon and again even though I didn't stay in hotel it was awful experience. Had the most awful experience with the rudest waitress I ever came across in my life. I do not have enough word count here to explain but I wouldn't spend a penny ever again in this excuse of a hotel. Friends who stayed there wont stay again either. Sauna and jacuzzi out of order. Rooms dated, dull and no plugs beside beds. I had to attend the convention centre and it was like the black hole of Calcutta. Half the lighs were left off and it was absolutely freezing. A depressing place. We couldn't sit there so went to the bar where I had the worst experience with the waitress who clearly hates her job. We ran back to the beautiful Rose hotel freezing but grateful we weren't staying in the brandon again. I would be very suprised if this place is open next year. Either way we won't be staying or spending our money there. Our friends who stayed there came down to the rose with us to eat and couldnt belive the luxury we were in for the money they spent. They all agreed they are not staying in brandon again. It's a kip. I'm sorry to say that as the brandon was one of the best hotels in Kerry one time but sadly that time has well past. I stayed in the brandon for annual function for last 24 years up to my food poisoning last year.

Really enjoyed our stay. We arrived at 12.45 and our room was ready. Lovely lady on reception was very helpful. Loads of free parking at the back of the hotel also. We didn’t have breakfast but had an evening meal with was delicious. Restaurant staff very nice and helpful also. Carpets in the lift good really so with some cleaning or changing. The rooms are a bit dated but suited us as we were only staying for 1 night. Location is 10 mins walk from town centre. Lovely shower. Comfy bed and loads of pillows. Tv working perfectly with kettle to make tea. Would I return. 100% yes.
