Beautiful Hotel with the most accommodating staff. We had the pleasure of celebrating our sons first Holy Communion here, the meal was top class could not rate it highly enough and fabulous atmosphere with amazing views.

I worked in the Butler Arms Hotel as a Night porter back in the late Eighties. I know the Hotel has had a major revamp since then. If the staff are as hard working and dedicated as they were back in the Eighties, the Butler Arms is truely an exceptional ambassador for the Ring of Kerry!

Stayed here for 3 nights this week, the rooms and bathrooms have been refurbished, loved the non slip tiles in the bathroom. Rooms are clean and serviced every day. Great variety of food at breakfast also.
You can’t beat the butler arms.

We had a birthday dinner here last night and the food, service and value were fantastic. Thanks to Paula and Louise for a great night, we were given plenty of time to enjoy the meal and the staff were attentive. Would highly recommend the restaurant!

Incredible high level resort hotel with outstanding service and great personalized management. Reminds you of a place out of a great movie.

Excellent hotel brimming with character and cultural interest (it was Charlie Chaplain's favourite getaway in the 50s and 60s). Food is unambiguously high quality: even simple dishes (steak; fish & chips; fish pie) are done with flair and imagination. When we visited, the restaurant was fully booked up, but they let us eat outside, by exception, because it was early. Staff are consistently charming and helpful. Maybe that's not so surprising: they're fronting up an operation they can justifiably be proud of.

Beautiful location, amazing view. Good food. Bartender in the public restaurant was very rude. We wouldn't eat there, even though we were staying there. Front desk folks ere also Very very rude. I don't like paying to be treated poorly.

Not a bad hotel, bit overpriced. Don't pay for the ocean view, not worth it. You will get a room overlooking the parking lot.

If you want a fabulous hotel stay in one of the most beautiful parts of Kerry well this is it. The Butler Arms Hotel is wonderful. Excellent food atmosphere and rooms… its family run for generations and you just won't find better. Try the superb crab gratin which is the best I've ever had wash it down with a pint of the best Guinness I've had in Waterville… actually seafood is something they do with flare — simple fresh delicious… enjoy!

Irish hospitality at its finest From the moment you cross the threshold you begin to unwind. Paula and Louise run a fantastic hotel with all the warmth and charm you would expect from an irish hotel. My executive room had incredible views over ballinskelligs bay and Waterville village. Dining out was never an option as I was spoilt for choice inhouse. My favourite dish was the Crab au gratin and you have the choice to eat in the fishermens bar or the conservatory (the later was my favourite) If you really want to escape for a few days, dont hesitate, book today, I promise you will return home a much better person after a stay at the Butler Arms.

Myself my husband and two children had dinner in the dining room! My girls first time in the dining room! They loved it! The food was just superb! And the beautiful desserts were just sublime! We are local people and eat in the Butlers as often as possible. The service and atmosphere is pretty special but it’s the beautiful food that keeps us coming back!

Very charming hotel with great views across the street from a nice beach at the edge of the sea. Plenty of surfers, a boat ramp, lovely walks along the sand or on a boardwalk. Charlie Chaplin statue in memory of his frequent holidays here and the locals' love for him.

Stunning location and the food in the fisherman’s bar is the finest in south Kerry.

Overall great place to stay; great location and views. The food was excellent. The room was a bit warm and the mattress not the best; but overall excellent hotel.

Stayed in Butlers Arms Hotel in late August and had a wonderful experience. Food was fantastic in the dining room. We ate the hot and cold fish platter and it was out of this world. This old charm Hotel is very clean and the staff are real lovely and genuine people. We will be back next year.

I've been going to Waterville for quite a number of years now and have been into the Fishermans bar in the Butler Arms hotel for drinks many times. Apart from the fact that the staff in the bar and hotel are always helpful and courteous, the hidden gem in this hotel is the main hotel restaurant and I've only eaten there for the first time this year. The perception with hotel restaurants is that you can always do better by leaving the hotel. Simply not true in this case. We went for dinner here last weekend and the food was excellent. Well up to the standards that you would expect in any standalone restaurant and given the freshness and quality of the food, it was good value. I expect that given its old world charm that some customers feel a little intimidated by its appearance, which is probably the reason that I never choosen to eat there in the past. In reality its quite relaxed and certainly not a reason to miss out on such good food.

A great place to be restaurant waitress are perfect welcoming. Good choice of tasty meals.

Thanks to all the staff at Butler Arms for a wonderful 3 days in a beautiful setting.
Food and service was 5 * at its best.
Breakfast and dinner staff were top class, seated straight away and coffee or drinks served.
Bar staff top notch also with creamy pints of Guinness straight away on demand.
Special thanks to the friendly blond girl who was so helpful in every way. It's a pity Butler Arms is so far away, otherwise I would visit much more often.

Had a great time at this lovely hotel food was great, the staff are the best. Had a lovely walk on the beach first thing in the morning it was heavenly. I left my coat after me rang and the staff found it and post it on to me what lovely people tank you so much.

Thanks so much for a fantastic meal tonight celebrating my dads birthday! Food was fab and staff were very friendly and accommodating! Would highly recommend eating here and thanks so much for the birthday cake, it was an added bonus.

Not a 4 Star Hotel. Broken bathroom and TV not working properly. For the price not worth it. I won't recommend it to anyone. We orderd a brakefast room service but it did not work. We had to eat in the restaurant. All the stuff in the rooms are to old and should be changed immediately. Beds are not comfy at all. I got problems with my back… Wi-Fi to slow not useable actualy. The Fishermans bar was the only nice place to eat but also expensive. Hot lobster was delicious (42€).

So enjoyed our stay! Warm, friendly staff, very willing to help and interested in making our stay pleasant and a delight. Very clean. Gas fire in the lobby fireplace was very welcoming, especially after a brisk walk along the beach. They do make you feel as one of their family — part of what makes the stay so relaxing and enjoyable. Area is beautiful and much to see within a day's travel. Met other visitors while dining in The Fisherman's Pub, every pleasant. Could hear the roaring ocean and smell the salty sea from our room. Breakfast is served in a bright and cheery room overlooking ocean. Grand! Many thanks to Louise and Paula.
