This would have to be up there with one of the most beautiful, cosy, comfortable and hospitable places we have stayed at. The hosts are just amazing and nothing is too difficult and they are just the friendliest people. The food is just beautiful, can’t fault it. Would we stay here again, in a heart beat. ❤️❤️

Loch Lein Country House was amazing. We celebrated mum's 80th birthday last weekend and the staff made mum feel like a princess. The food was exceptional. Truely 5 star experience all night with a fab drinks reception in the garden. Wonderful night I would highly recommend it.

Yes of course! it's a very nice and peaceful place. We stayed here for one week again this year. Paul and annette are really nice and helpful. The rooms and breakfast are amazing. Every time again!

This is a wonderful property and I highly recommend it. The rooms are huge, quiet, clean, traditional with a modern touch and the have a great view of the lake. The beds were comfortable and large. The owners Paul and Annette greet you at check-in and do whatever you need to make your stay perfect. Kevin is the "utility infielder" of the staff and seems to be doing every job there is from helping with the bags to being the bartender. We didn't have dinner but did have breakfast and it was done to perfection. If you're looking to stay in the Killarney area and don't mind being out of town, give Loch Lein a try, you won't regret it. This place has the charm that you won't find in the neighboring German owned hotels as they tend to be very modern and somewhat cold. This is a beautiful little hotel right on the shores of the lake. I only gave it 4 stars because I would have liked to walk down to the lake but the access is cut off by a neighbor since one year. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and bathrooms, also. Sparkling clean! Try to get a room with a view. Breakfast was outstanding. Don't know about dinner as we walked into town for dinner. There is a tiny bar off the sitting area downstairs. They open it in the evening. Very professional and friendly service by Annette and her husband. Enjoy!

My two friends and I needed a place to stay before our hike. We did not really look into what kind of lodging we are getting as we were only interested in sleeping in for the night. We were very pleasantly surprised by this beautiful little hotel. It has a nice lake view with the gorgeous Kerry mountains in the background. Walking into the hotel, I had one concern based on my prior experience with "rustic looking" hotels in Ireland: that it might have the "old house smell". Luckily, this was not the case. The rooms we were staying at were all recently redone (from what I can tell, or they are just impeccably maintained). Bathrooms had perfect tiling and excellent water pressure with no-fiddle shower controls. Before heading out to our hike, we had the pleasure of enjoying our breakfast made-to-order. I will be returning for a longer stay at this hotel for sure. My once complaint is that the parking should have sort of markings which guests should obey, as the guests (at the time) were taking liberal amounts of space in between their cars.

This is simply an outstanding place to stay, beautiful spot and owners and staff so friendly. We stayed their a few years ago and with short notice we were given the same room as it was our 10 year wedding anniversary. Breakfast is outstanding.

There are very few places in the world with a better view. There are no better people running a 4 star hotel than Paul and Annette. The food is amazing, coffee is unbelievable and will spoil you for most coffee houses. This place is tucked out of the way but is close to Killarney and the beautiful golf courses. Please come stay a few nights at this amazingly quaint, very clean and beautiful country house.

Very good accommodation. Professionally operated and yet familiar. Super breakfast with ingenious views. Rooms are clean and round off the very good impression of this house. Can only be recommended. The only blemish is the very thin duvet, so you could perhaps add an extra blanket. Had 16 accommodations on our round trip through Ireland and that was absolutely the best!

My husband, Peter, and I had a lovely time at Loch Lein Country House this summer! It's in a beautiful, quiet location on a lake near Killarney National Park and Dunloe Gap. The property is gorgeous; the rooms are well-appointed and very comfortable. Soaking in the large bath tub after a long day was a real treat… Breakfast in the dining room was perfect. Thank you for a delightful stay!

My wife and I have spent 2 nights here. I wish it would have been 20. If I am ever lucky enough to return to Ireland, Loch Lein will be at the top of my list on places to stay and it would most definitely be for more than 2 days. I cannot recommend Loch Lein enough for the location, service, & scenery. As an added plus, the weather was outstanding.

I recently got married at Loch Lein and the entire experience from start to finish was wonderful. We ended up booking the entire house, our ceremony took place on the front lawn and our reception, with a full 4 course meal, was inside. Paul and Annette made the whole experience effortless and went above and beyond to accommodate all our requests. I cannot thank them enough. I don't think they slept the entire 4 days we were there! They were so attentive and helpful, making sure our stay and our wedding was perfect. I would absolutely recommend!

I had made with a friend a Tour of Ireland and this Hotel was by far the best! The owners understand something from your Job a go to the guests individually. The decor is a matter of taste, but it's all super clean and cozy. We stayed for 2 nights there and I can only recommend it!

An absolutely beautiful hotel on a gorgeous lake. Annette and Paul are amazing hosts. They are warm and welcoming, very knowledgeable about the area and gave us great tips on how to alter our itinerary to include must sees that we did not know about. Our room was large and so clean, every corner of the bathroom scrubbed until gleaming. The lake the house sits on could be in a painting. The food and the hotel is excellent. If we are ever in Ireland again, we will make an effort to stay here.

A wonderful hotel with large, comfortable rooms and two incredibly welcoming proprietors. The grounds and view of the lake are beautiful as well. We spent two nights here and would go back without hesitation. Annette and Paul gave us fantastic suggestions for what to of in the Ring of Kerry. Breakfast was delicious both mornings.

Just perfect. Very good reception, beautiful rooms, breathtaking view of the lake, silence… 10 mn from the city centre of Killarney. And without forgetting the very good breakfast and dinner really excellent (attention, the restaurant is not open every day and only if enough guests are interested).

We stayed here for 6 nights.
The facilities as well as the size of the room is very good and the decor is very neat and clean. In addition, our rooms with an idyllic views of an adjacent pasture on which repeatedly grazed sheep, could convince.
The hosts are very engaging and helpful. So a contact was conveyed at a smaller car tire easily us in Killarney, which immediately takes care of us, when we arrived at it. In addition she guests with numerous information and tips about the surrounding area attractions and destinations available. This is only to criticize, that you can reach the system hardly through the lobby without by the hosts to be addressed, which can be somewhat tiring in the long term.
The breakfast buffet is sufficient. The freshly prepared dishes for breakfast, such as the full Irish breakfast or the waffles, however, represent a highlight.
A small Downer is ultimately, that the Lake, which felt away barely a stone's throw from the plant is located, is not walking distance. This should be not deceived by the location. The prospect is promising, however one relies always on the car to enjoy it also.

We didn't plan to stay here, but we considered it the best of all of our accommodations in Ireland. Lovely people and one of the most beautiful spots in the country. Wish I could go back tomorrow and bring my husband with me this time.

Love this place from the moment we stepped foot in the door we felt the hospitality of Annette and Paul. The grounds are beautiful. Everything about this hotel made you feel welcome and comfortable. The room was just as lovely as the rest of the hotel. I would recommend highly.

This was such a nice stay. This place was beautiful. The service by the owners was excellent. You are welcomed with tea and pastries. In all, it was a very pleasant stay. They lose a star because their mattresses were a bit too firm for my comfort.

My wife and I spent nine days in Ireland and stayed in some great hotels: Gregans Castle, Ashford Castle, Faithlegg House, but none compared to Loch Lein Country House. Set in one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen, the rooms are large and well-appointed, the food wonderful and the staff magnificent. We checked in as guests, but felt we left as friends.

We stayed all over Ireland for a week and this was by far the best hotel we stayed in. The owners go above and beyond to make you feel at home and the helpfulness and service is above and beyond. I would go back there in a heartbeat. The breakfast room looks over the beautiful lake and the service in there is what you would find at a 5 star restaurant. Stay at the Loch Lein and you will be in for a really great experience.
