We had one of the best meals EVER at Davitt's in Kenmare. We started with an appetizer of jalapeno potato pancake with a side salad that was the perfect portion for two. My wife had lamb shank, which was served on a bed of green onion mashed potatoes along with root vegetables. She shared, delicious! I ordered a broiled filet of halibut, which was also served on the green onion mashed and asparagus. It melted in my mouth! Fantastic service and great ambiance!

The food and wine were lovely. The service was quick and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I ate there the best mussels I have ever had in my life.

The employees were great! I had Chicken Curry with No Veggies and it was VERY good! There was live music that was very good. All-in-all this was a very enjoyable place!

Lovely place. The food is really good and fresh and the stuff is very friendly and helpful. Plenty room, good for families with kids. Lunchtime could be busy.

Nice restaurant in the center of Kenmare. Very friendly staff, excellent food. Great for a Sunday lunch, nothing fancy but meat and fish (salmon) up to a high standard and at a very fair price. Great chips and fine wine and beer. The speed of service on Sunday afternoon when the place was clearly understaffed, was remarkable. We"ll be back!

Love this place. I go regularly for lunch. They have a bit of everything. Went recently for dinner with a group n it was great from the wine to food. Really good. Great value if ur on a budget n want somewhere nice to eat.

A warm welcome as soon as we arrived from the very friendly staff — from start to finish exceptional service! Food was outstanding and a reasonable price and a good variety on the menu. Very clean and spacious with a lovely atmosphere, one member of staff excelled producing a Christmas cracker in May! Don't ask… but just added to the day with the humour at the time — made our wedding anniversary meal that bit more special — thank you! Definitely be back…

Never again. Used to be a regular customer. Visited tonight and we were put sitting next to an extremely loud, drunk, and out of control hen party, blowing whistles, throwing paper, shouting and roaring. There were 5 of us, 2 adults and 3 under 18 children. I initially asked what course the hens were on to decipher when they might be finished. I was told they were on dessert. After a period of time, during which we could not talk due to the noise levels, I raised the issue that they seemed extremely loud. We were told that when they finished there were two birthday parties coming in, and there was a clear indication that it was going to get a lot worse! On our third time raising the issue, we were told that we picked a bad night to come in. It was 7pm on a regular Saturday night. We asked for the bill while we ate and left as quickly as possible. Ruined our night in Kenmare. A very badly managed situation. No effort at all was made to ask the hens to tone it down a little. Other tourists and diners did not look too impressed either. The food was excellent but it was ruined by the whole volitile situation. Desperate experience. Never going to Davitts again. So disappointed.

Had my hen party meal here on Saturday. Meal was superb, staff very friendly and didnt treat us differently even though we were all dressed in 80s gear. Will definately be back again. Thank you!

A varied offer of gluten-free food. They have gluten-free bread without gluten. Bread GF avaliable.

Lovely seafood chowder, really really nice. Although inside isn't the dark dingy Irish pub atmosphere we were hoping for.

The restaurant is perfect for a quiet dinner; the food is tasty and the waitresses are kind.
