Great place to stay and have a meal with great drinks and locals. As we come from a small bush town in Australia it’s feels like home, love it.

Great pub. Would recommend it definitely!

First time here and I love it!
Beautiful pub area and the rooms are great. I would add one thing to the rooms … a wide seat and high back reading chair.

We did not use the bar but the room we stayed in was lovely, the staff were friendly and the hospitality was great.

Went for dinner. Arrived early had a Gin and tonic in the cosy heritage room. Tbe restaurant is so well decorated and really cosy. Food was so good. Absolutley delicious. The staff were so good. Perfect. Hidden gem that needs to stay hidden.

Love it here! People are great! Locals are friendly:) great atmosphere & love weds nights for the local live music!

We’d a delicious meal in the Bistro on Wed, have to say that the staff were fab, especially with my daughter who’s birthday we were celebrating.

We had dinner last night with friends and the kids. I have to say it was the best Burger ever. Hake was incredible. Well done to all on the new menu. Great buzz around the place.

Had a lovely meal, staff very friendly particularly Isabella and accommodated our dog with a water bowl as we sat outside. Lovely experience def will be back.

What can I say except fabulous from are room to the staff so helpful and polite and are room was just gourgoes, can't recommend enough thank you for a wonderful stay will definitely be back.

Decent rooms. For the price I would have expected a proper breakfast like other hotels provide.

We had a lovely stay here, the room was fresh, clean and everything was like new. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The stay itself was great with free Wi-Fi and sky TV, self serve breakfast in the morning with fresh fruit, locally made bread and a good quality coffee machine to use freely. The bar staff made us delightful cocktails and the extensive whiskey list was impressive that must be said. We will be back to stay and look forward to it. Thanks to staff member Mark for the most welcoming phone call before and after the stay. Pleased in every way.

There is a chilled atmosphere throughout and a lovely beer garden to sit in. The rooms are fresh and clean with free Wi-Fi and sky tv. A huge thanks to Mary, Mark & all the staff at The Horse & Hound for looking after us last Sunday! We couldn't have picked a better spot to have our second day of wedding celebrations! We were so well looked after by everyone and the food & service was great even down to arranging our taxis home! Thanks so so much again and we will be back to see you next time we are over! Okay, so I've never actually stayed there, but I have spent a fair amount of time in the environs. A few points, well, one main point about the few bad reviews… there are new owners, who have had nothing to do with the bookings or double bookings that may have happened in the past. The place is fantastic, so if you are planning a stay, give Mark and Mary a chance. I'm prepared to bet, that you will not regret it. Lovely place, lovely people, lovely ambience and rather good alcoholic beverage. Keep an open mind!
