Lovely hosts. Very helpful. Peaceful location. Great breakfast!

We have now been at Killuran Lodge for 5 of our 6 night stay. Marg and I are so glad that we chose Killuran as our headquarters whilst in Wexford. Clare and Colin have bent over backwards to assist us in every way. The accommodation is wonderful and the bed was all you could ask for, the breakfasts sumptuous, the friendship delightful and the house rules simple and effective. The grounds are extensive, set back well from all road noise and for us, very appealing with the varieties of trees, plants and wildlife. The external flowers in pots and planters set off Killuran with that cared for homely feeling. We have appreciated the free Wi-Fi, as it has helped us keep in touch with family and friends. Would highly recommend this affordable accommodation to anyone visiting the Wexford area. We can't relate any of the comments made by one of the previous reviewers on this blog to our experience and really find it difficult to believe it is the same B&B to which she is reviewing. One of the worst B&Bs, I have stayed in during my travels in Ireland. The first night, we slept on mattresses which should have been thrown out long time ago. It was spring mattresses and I had the springs into my back. Several days after, I'm still in pain. The owner changed the mattresses to ones in a better state, but for me it was too late. There's a quality issue there. I got the impression that the B&B wants to save much money as possible: the rooms aren't beautiful, the beds we slept in were children beds, the breakfast is of low quality except from the fruit salad, only basics stuff. The rest you have to pay for. I have never had this in other B&Bs. The owner tries to be kind but she isn't open to criticism. The only thing I liked was the garden. The high ratings on Booking com and here don't reflect reality. It's so exaggerated. There is nothing excellent in this B&B. We left before the end of our stay.

Lovely hosts. We wandered down to the pub / restaurant for our dinner. (Pretty normal pub grub — but friendly staff were happy to oblige) we were pleasantly surprised how quiet the house was as we were quite close to a fairly busy road. The gardens are well maintained. A cooked breakfast was extra which I had missed details of on the web, but nice enough for the money.

Great place food great would stay again.

You are guaranteed a wonderful 'home-from-home' welcome from Claire and Colin, set in a truly tranquil and peacful location just a short drive into Wexford. Comfortable room, great breakfast and attention to detail made our stay really memorable. Highly Recommended!

Lovely location and people.

I've been looking forward to more, and I'm sure I'll be back. It is more than a ByB, it is a house that transmits feeling of home.
It is situated in a beautiful garden decorated in a rural style, with an attentive treatment to the animals, both to theirs and to the free ones.
The rooms are beautiful, all different, decorated with the delicious romantic vintage style. Comfortable, fully equipped. In them you are greeted with a tray with teas, coffee and chocolate muffins, so that you prepare a snack with the kettle and you take it is a armchair while you look at the garden through the window.
The breakfast, included in the price, is complete and very good, served in a beautiful boudoir with wood stove.
The staff is very friendly and attentive.
It is an ideal place to spend a holiday in the countryside, as it is located next to a lake, in a beautiful landscape. But it is also close to Wexford, a very nice historical and commercial city.
Sure I will spend more time, to be able to be in spring and summer to enjoy more of the atmosphere.

Overnight stay. Had supper in the nearby pub. Great breakfast. Guests come from everywhere. Great countryside setting with lots of birdlife.
