We had such a wonderful time. Staff were great and Dino Springs was the best! The kids had something to do ALL day long. Cinema was fantastic. A lot of "first time" things to do. We had a couple of small issues which were dealt with immediately and professionally and we could not have asked for better. Thanks to all at Amber Springs. We will be back.

We had our daughters communion there on the 28th may and the staff where so accommodating and the food was exceptional highly recommended.

Loads to do for children farm playground, go karting, crazy golf, archery, cinema easily 5☆ experience and probably a hidden gem of a hotel.

Amazing hotel so clean and spacious we stayed in a suite so much room for a family of 5. Lots to do for the kids! the spa is amazing thanks Michaela for my full body massage it was bliss! never left the hotel for food because it was that good. Special mention to Fiachra who served us at breakfast. We cant wait to return 5☆

We are just back from a great weekend. Everything in the hotel was good. Not to busy, great food and clean place. So much entertainment for the kids. Loved it. The santa train experience was amazing. Our 6 year old is still talking about eve the elf! the personal elf was brilliant, really made an effort and remembered everything that was said. The christmas village is set up so nice. They really thought of everything. Warm chocolate, brownies, candy, reindeer food, mulled wine music, lights. It really was magical! santa was lovely too.

We went for santa experience it was unreal the kids had a great time. Great staff it was super.

We stopped in for lunch on the way to Carne, had a lovely meal, staff super nice. My only gripe is where the animal farm is. The music was blasting on full volume, both annoying for guests and particularly the poor animals having to endure it all day every day. Surely it doesn't need to be so loud…
Anyway, great spot, highly recommended.

Fantastic Santa experience last night, you’ve really adapted to the restrictions so well and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The elves were all fantastic, especially Twinkles.

Just back from a stay with yourselves and will definitely be returning, hotel is fantastic, perfect for families with children, so much to see and do. We also were booked in for the santa experience which was absolutely amazing, the staff were so lovely, special mention of an elf called Roxie who made my daughters experience of the whole thing exceptional all the guidelines followed too, very nicely executed! 5 stars!

Just back from a 3 day stay. The hotel is absolutely fabulous and very family friendly with so much for kids to do. My 4 year old did not want to come home. Highly recommended.

I would recommend this hotel there is so much to do for the kids. We just left today stayed for two nights it rained but there was indoor swimming pool and soft play for kids. Room was fine however one the families next door to us ruined our stay the past two nights woke me up first night at 3am in the morning shouting and then the next as they were having a domestic next to us I complained a few times until finally the manager had to come up. My children woke a few times the second night and were very frightened as the shouting was so loud! The women even shouted out help me from the room. That experience alone wouldn’t make me go back in a hurry as the hotel did nothing to reassure us or do anything to help ease the situation as the hotel isn’t cheap and as the rooms are obviously so close you can hear all. I’m aware the hotel can’t do much about how other people behave it was just very upsetting.

Fab hotel, there is so much to do. Constantly kept busy. The highlights were the complimentary train ride and the birds of prey. The wizard on the train ride gave the kids a great giggle. The room was nice we only used the room to change and sleep. Highly recommended. Can't wait to come and stay around Christmas time.

Amazing time again here in amber spring the kids had a ball already looking at booking to come back roll on summer holidays thanks to all the amazing staff and chefs for making meal time easier with allergies. We stayed in the family den suite which I would highly recommend to all my family and friends kids loved there own room and bunk beds went down a treat. Now time to check out and say goodbye.

Had a lovely stay in the Amber springs recently staff were so friendly and helpful especially nessa in the front of house she couldn't of been more helpful and friendly nothing was to much trouble her warm friendly personality is brilliant for welcoming customers such a lovely person food and room was gorgeous also il definitely be back.

Just back from a night with my friend and our three kids, 4, 5 and 8, we had the best time! The staff could not have been nicer from the receptionist to the bar staff, the train, the swimming pool, we didn’t want to leave! Really family oriented place, food very reasonable and kids club was brilliant, girls there were just lovely, I truly couldn’t recommend it more.

This hotel is very very overpriced for familys… food only average and on one of our meals didnt get a side we ordered despite asking twice for it. And no apolgy on payment!
staff in swim area could be more friendly especially with kids. One guy there. Early 40's quite rude.
Asked for change in bar as there were several staff folding cutlerly and was sent to wait in a que at bar!

Asked for a new remote 4 TV as the one we had wasnt working… was told they would send somebody. Nobody came. Had to go down to reception and ask again… girl came to room and said none available! had to call again 4 one. Eventually got one.
kids club is awful… a girl with long black hair (maybe a leader) was extremely rude to kids and raising her voice at them for running around (they are kids) she had no clue how to speak to the kids… she should not b working there! plus not much interaction at all with kids… weather lovely outside and them all stuck in a room… girls working there not ineracting much at all with kids
2 night stay 600 euro. And u have to pay for the go carts and golf (joke) and our kids were left with no popcorn at cinema (during kids club) while other kids had! so awful
had an xmas trip booked but cancelling. Wont b back.

Fantastic spacious hotel, friendly staff. We had a lovely meal there. Very wheelchair friendly and Paul was exceptionally kind and helpful on the train & in the village. We will definitely be back again.

Just back from 4 night stay, our 2 girls loved the bunk beds with charger sockets! No queues at breakfast even though it was super busy. Cinema every night. Very clean hotel and lovely reception area. All staff so so friendly and attentive especially the room cleaners. Couldn’t do enough for us, extra water and glasses etc. Late check out, no extra charge. Brilliant location as so close to Gorey for shopping and court town for beach, amusements etc. We had fab weather and the beaches only minutes away are idyllic. We will definitely be back again soon x.

Just back from a lovely stay at the Amber Springs. It was so good that we stayed an extra night. Everyone was so helpful and the staff were superb. The food was beautiful and the children loved all of the parks and entertainment. A special thanks to Lucy who went above and beyond in the restaurant. Can't praise Paul from the Amber Park enough. He was absolutely brilliant on the train tour and also around the park talking to the children and making an effort with them. The adults enjoyed his craic as well. Will definitely be back.

Cannot thank the amber springs hotel staff enough for making our sons communion such a special day they left a lovely card and a plate with little cakes. All the staff were SO helpful! EXTREMELY friendly and so accommodating! So much so that we stayed a second night before leaving we booked to return in three weeks time! We cannot wait! The kids loved every minute as did we highly recommend the amber springs hotel! Thank you again! Looking forward to returning!

Amber springs was the best hotel we ever stayed in. Our little girl had the best time. She loved all the facilities for small children and the staff were so nice to her too. We will definitely be back again to this beautiful hotel.

It has everything for kids absolutely everything, my kids didn't want to leave, fab hotel so would highly recommend it.

Just stayed for the 4th time forb2 nights and will never be back, not kid friendly atal anymore, the food was disgusting both days, the kids were told they couldnt walk around the hotel they were shouted at on more than 1 occassion, we were made feel so uncomfortable and not 1 off us will be back again!

Lovely hotel to go with kids. Loads to do, food really nice. We have 3 kids, stayed in one of the suites with bunk beds, room is huge, double bed plus 4 separate bunk beds. Swimming pool really good! Will definitely come back.

Only downside of our trip here was the room. We had a 2 year old who was given a fold up bed (which is fine) only to have 3 slats missing in it. The room could also do with a lick of paint. Not the end of the world and the effort the hotel has made to accommodate kids made up for it. Loads for the kids to do while you try and relax with outside play areas, indoor soft play, animals, kids club, swimming pool and even a cinema. Would definitely go back if I was down that direction again.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Our room was the hottest room I've ever stayed in with no fan and no way of cooling it. My biggest gripe was being refused a glass of ice unless I bought something at the bar in the reception room. We were attending a wedding. I personally spent over €150 at the reception bar yesterday in fact I just purchased a pint of Heineken and a gin and club lemon for my wife for €15 a few minutes before but when I asked for a glass of ice I was told that I had to make a purchase at the same time as getting the ice. He was under orders from his manager. I've never come across this anywhere in the world. On a positive note All staff were very friendly.

We stayed in the new family suites (not den) last week. Room was very spacious, clean and with addition of air con and a cooler fridge and a sofa, our stay was made extra comfortable. Double bed is extremely generous in size too. The hotel has a wide range of facilities and all in working order. Kids club was run excellently by a young responsible and enthusiastic staff. Our 6 year loved it. We also had a 20 month old who got plenty of enjoyment from the swings, football area, soft play zone and the pool. The food from breakfast right through to dinner again was delicious with a wide selection on offer and a great variety of eateries. The coffee dock must also get a mention. Delicious pastries. The hotel is extremely well run and the staff need a special mention from the front of house to house keeping and waiting staff. Keep up the great work Amber Springs. We will be back!

Best family hotel that we have ever stayed in. Every little thing about this place was amazing from the moment we checked in and the staffs great attitude towards ourselves and the kids to the moment we left. The food throughout our stay was amazing in both the bar and restaurant. The on site activities for both adults to kids kept everyone in the family happy. Just cannot fault this place. Amazing stay.

We had a great day for our wedding on 6th of july 2018. All of the staff were amazing. From Deborah who helped me with my queries from day one, to the reservations team, to the cleaning staff, to the kitchen staff and chef, to the waiters, to Dave, to the reception staff. The list is endless. The quality and service is flawless. I have no complaints. Such a professional hotel and our day went off without any problems apart from the really hot weather that melted my make up but only the weatherman is to blame for that. I would 100 million percent recommend the venue to anyome to marry in or stay in in general

Brought my 2 nearly adult children for a celebratory meal this evening. We decided that the food had been so good in the past, that it was worth eating in a dining room where children were running riot and playing electronic games at extremely high volume.
As a starter my son ordered potato skins and my daughter and I shared a start and share dish. We enjoyed these immensely and they were reasonably priced at under €10.
We then waited nearly an hour for our main courses. We ordered two burgers and one battered cod. All 3 meals were practically inedible, though my daughter ate a portion of hers because she was starving. We ordered deserts and again they were passable and realistically priced. I was disinclined to pay for the main courses but our waitress was lovely and I didn't want to cause an upset. We were eventually given a discount for one main meal.
Needless to say we will never be returning, nor will we ever recommend the restaurant or indeed the hotel. I would go so far as to say that I will recommend that people not waste their time and money at this establishment.

Loved every minute of our holiday. The rooms, food and facilities are top class. Kids absolutely loved it. So much to do in the hotel. Go karts, mini golf, playgrounds, indoor soft play area, kids club and a cinema which was amazing, and we went swimming every day. We recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a family holiday. It's ideal.

We had a great break away Sunday-Tuesday. Myself, my partner and my two sons ages 2 and a half and 12 weeks. After arriving our room was on the 2nd floor, room 225 which was perfect. Lovely and quiet. The room was clean with 2 single beds, and one double. We called reception for a cot and somebody came within 10 minutes with one. We ate in the Italian garden restaurant the first night which was delicious and the food cake really quick. The two year old and daddy could play in the playground while we waited for the food to come. We spent the Evening playing in the playgrounds and the indoor play area! The indoor play area was fantastic and really clean. There was a member of staff there to ensure rules were followed on the Sunday. We spent a lot of time here as our son just loved it! We all had a great nights sleep on the Sunday night and got up early for breakfast, where we were treated by another lovely member of staff. Breakfast was lovely. Pancakes, pastries, full Irish buffet, cereals, fruits, cheese, meats, juices and teas and coffee. We then spent the morning in the swimming pool! Great fun was had by all. Again the staff were helpful when I took the baby out of the pool early and get dressed they let me go back into the poolside to watch my older son and partner playing.
We had lunch in the bar, both ordered the Angus burger and we both loved it. Our older son had a burger also and ate every bit! We both took turns outside with him as we waited on the food.

Great hotel and get away for families. They have invested much money in to making it a great family facility. There are a few small issues but overall very good.

I have to say this place is absolutely fantastic for a family getaway. The facilities are second to none. Mini pet farm, go karts, crazy golf, soccer pitch, playground, indoor play area. Would definitely return again with the family. I would have given it five stars but for the poor service we received in the restaurant. Very slow, although the food itself was lovely. The staff were also very nice. Everything gets 5 stars besides the restaurant service.

My daughter chose this venue for her wedding reception on April 21st 2018. The hotel itself, the delicious food, the great staff and overall experience was first class. The hotel staff in particular are superb and contributed in every way possible to make the day amazing.

Room: We stayed in the beautiful new spacious Family Suite. Highly recommended for a family use. Staff: Excellent experiences from the moment we checked in to the moment we left. Staff in the restaurant, swimming pool, spa and the cleaning staff are a credit to this company. Childrens facilities: it's great to have these areas within the grounds of the hotel however they need to be maintained. This is the reason I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars. Great experience overall and would definitely recommend it to friends.

Amber springs hotel is a great place to visit with family has a play room a lovely swimming pool. The only thing is that need more lockers in changing room. Great out door play area. And a lovely little farm. Really enjoyed our visit we will return again.

At a wedding here, it's a family hotel so there is a lot of kids. Food was lovely. Pool and spa area was nice. Majority of staff were grand but there was a good few bad eggs there.

Good facilities for families, offers indoor/outdoor play areas for children also has a land train and farm animals. Food is adequate although have attended a couple of weddings here and food was much better at these than what is served in the bar area.

One of the most, if not the most, popular hotels for families in Ireland. Plenty to do here for the little people. Pet farm, karting, crazy golf, soccer pitch, kids club and many other facilities. Kids had an absolute ball here. Bar area is a bit dated with rip off republic prices. The steakhouse restaurant stinks of chlorine because of swimming pool directly underneath and both areas must use the same ventilation system. Food was mediocre and inflated prices don't match the quality of the food. Would come again for kids but wouldn't come here for a weekend getaway without them.

Stayed here for 3 nights all staff helpful and friendly I had 3 treatments in the Cocoon spa beautiful. Food in restaurant quiet expense, but bar food and staff lovely. Bedrooms Large amd spacious. Really enjoyed our stay. Literally 10 minute walk into Gorey town.

Stayed here over Christmas last year and left the next day. Bar full of young children infants til early hrs crawling around the floor not that I didnt have young kids but they sat at the table and when they got bored we left for bed. Then the pizza whatever place found a hair in my food waiter served the kids ice-cream with his fingers in it then sucked it off his thumb on front of me. Then the following morning brought the kids on the train ride where people where wearing pj's, on the way at the elevator seen aload of vomit with lots of cleaners coming and going to find it still there 2 hours later. Then went back to our room and as kids do they were up on the window ledge lookin out when I went over noticed a big blob of dried blood on the window ledge put the kids on the bed got the cleaner and showed her she then came in with a cloth and some spray wiped it apologized and started to wipe down my room with the same cloth. Then went into the bathroom were I had gave a quick wipe over the night before having 3 young kids using the same cloth and to add there was poo on the wall beside the toilet roll when I wiped over the bathroom too so told her it was ok to leave it.

Having recently stayed at the Amber Springs hotel for the first time, myself and my wife were very impressed with the service we received from the staff from checking in to the time we checked out. The staff were very pleasant, helpful and professional. The hotel itself is excellent and very family friendly with plenty of activities for children, the room we stayed in was one of the executive suites, it was spacious, comfortable and the bed was also very comfortable. The restaurant downstairs was although a bit small for the amount of people eating there, also excellent, the food was beautiful, and I don't say that about any restaurant. Overall the Amber Springs hotel is well worth a visit either with or without children, I would and have recommended this hotel to friends and family since our visit. I will definitely be returning.

I have been a loyal customer of Amber Springs. Staying over the past 10 years. Loved this hotel to the point that I booked 6 families to stay 3 nights over New year's eve (total of 28 poeople). I was never so disappointed in all my life. The staff are all over worked and as a result are not happy and very rude. The management team don't seem to care about any issues people have. The new family suites there is an issue with the room doors, the doors don't actually lock and reopen the door. The corridors are very dirty, ladies changing room in pool area was so dirty I had to use towels on floor to stand on and return to room to shower. The hotel bar would not allow you to sit and enjoy a pint/tea/coffee unless u ordered food (which was never the case). We were told we would be lucky to get a table on new year eve and keep it as only 1.5 hrs were allocated to each table. There was 2 big fights on New Years Eve, one room the door kicked in by security… all in view of children. One family in my party had no cold water in there room only boiling water and was told sorry nothing can be done till this week as plumbers away. Off the 6 families staying with me none will return. I was shocked and embarrassed as I recommended this hotel to all. The sadest part was there was no compassion or reassurance from the mgt team. They just didn't seem to care. We spoke to 3 managers and got same response from them all.

Went to Amber Springs for the Santa Train and was not disappointed. The elves are always smiling and skipping, playing with every child. The village is great with everything from Karaoke to hot chocolate. Was quite blown away by the effort and detail. Looking forward to bringing the family back to the hotel.

Very disappointing breakfast. Tried the room service version and the restaurant version far from impressed with either. I've eaten better at roadside cafes. Would have taken two stars off but my experience at Cocoon won back a star.

The friendliest staff you could ever meet. Total child friendly hotel. The food was lovely but could have been better for the price. There weren't many chips with the steak sandwich and a very this piece of steak. I had brisket and ribs which was beautiful but could have done with a little more sauce for the rice. Other than those 2 very minor things it was amazing. The manner and genuine niceness of the staff make up for anything else. Our waitress was Niamh and was so so friendly xxxx.

As a wedding venue it is excellent. Friendly staff and excellent service! situated about 5/10 min walk or 2/3 min drive from Gorey town and all amenities. The surrounds of the hotel are kept very tidy and clean! would highly recommend this hotel!

The excellent staff are very family orientated. We were very well looked after and the facilities are geared towards both children and adults alike. There's some wear and tear but it's not a problem.

Food was good just a few small issues. My mash was kindof gluey which was a pity as I love my mash but the roast beef was delicious. Ordered the pistashio and orange baked alaska. The ice cream was was so hard you kindof had to chip at it with my spoon to get it. My friend gave up not even half way through it was too much work. The orange pieces in the ice cream were more tastless and icy than anything else. Shame becausr it really has the makings of a delicious dessert. Very busy bar amd a bit noisy but will be back!

I was a guest at a wedding in the Amber Springs Hotel the service staff and food were excellent. I would highly recommend this venue.

Popped down for one Thursday night on a whim with the girlfriend, One of the most spacious rooms I've ever stayed in, nice relaxed atmosphere with staff that seem to enjoy going above and beyond for visitors. Fillet steak was phenomenal (although the chips were a tad dry, only complaint! ). Spent the Friday in the gym and spa. Gym is a little limited in equipment but more than adequate to get a solid workout done. Spent over an hour chilling in the jacuzzi and then grabbing a coffee to go for the journey home. Staff member went out of her way go get us nuts and berries from the breakfast room as we were trying to stay away from the cakes and biscuits. Great value and would totally recommend and stay again. Ps: very strong Wi-Fi for those that need to work or, like us, stream a movie. ☺

The first room we got was absolutely stinking with smoke and tobacco leaves everywhere. The second room was an improvement but it was clear that the rooms had not been vacuumed and they're were stains on the valance, the bath had hairs and there was long term dust build in all corners. I found the corridors were also not hovered and they smelt musty and dirty. They have some great facilitates for kids and we really enjoyed the play area however a unclean hotel that has four stars is totally unacceptable. I would also like to note that a 4pm check in at a family hotel is very late.

Great modern functional hotel. Value for money. Good for family's with small kids with swimming pool, play areas and a petting farm. Staff are great and will fix any problems with professionalism. I will certainly be back.

I went to the Amber Springs on New Years Day with my family, 6 adults and 4 children. The bar food was gone and a restaurant was in its place. The place was not busy when we arrived. The service was appallingly slow. When I complained to the head waiter, he did nothing. When our meal arrived, the vegetables were cold and raw, some of us did not get veg at all. The service was slow, the children got bored. We decided to pay and leave. We paid an overpriced bill. For a very disappointing meal. Very, very disappointed with this, what used to be a lovely spot for a meal.

Was extremely disappointed with this hotel, had stayed her some time ago for my brother wedding. Booked the santa experience & decided to stay in the hotel €220 per nite for a family rooms €60 for the santa experience € 48 for dinner in the pizzeria + drinks… in bed by 9.30 as there was no staff to serve us. Went out to reception twice just to get service. Tried to put drinks on the room was told 3 times there was no credit card even tho we gave card details twice & left a balance on the card… So Un professional they really need to get their act together… Would do the santa experience again but would definitely not stay over I am so disgusted with this hotel feel robbed.

Lovely hotel, great service, lovely food.

So me and my family took a trip down for a few days there was 17 of us all together! 9 children rest adults! Apparently because there was so many kids they were aloud into the kids club unless over 5 got turned away from pizzeria because there was to many of us went to the main restaurant and was turned away as well. The staff was NO help whatsoever and so inappropriate with the way they spoke to us and lacked information on anything we asked! We asked for the manager and he was nothing but rude and unhelpful. Maybe it was a bad week cause I heard nothin but good things about this hotel before I went down but did not have a nice experience whatsoever! There was no timetable and were not notified about any of the children's activities so the kids missed everything! The only two pleasant people we had was a girl in the pizzeria (I think her name was Ashley) and the man who drove the train two really nice people that the rest of the staff should take a page out of there book! Will never be visiting again!

It was a brilliant experience from start to finish. The staff couldn't do enough. The kids club is second to none. The food is great. Over all a great family break.

Just back from Amber Springs with the family. A fantastic hotel for families. Our 2 boys, Ciaran and Aidan had such a great time that they didn't want to leave and are already asking when we will be returning. The kids club (the children must be over 5 yrs old) kept them both entertained every morning and evening which left us parents free to enjoy dinner and a catch up. A special thanks to Fiona and the team who run the kids club. They were fantastic with the children and our boys were more than happy to join in the fun and activities. Happy kids. Happy parents! Well done Amber Springs.

It's very nice just for children it's really boring they need iPads for them I know a McDonald with iPad.

Excellent hotel fab facilities esp for kids. Food delicious. Family suite excellent for an extra €50 per night.

We had a wonderful stay here. Facilities great and staff very helpful. Found the rooms a little warm even in December with the heating turned down but apart from that faultless. Great for kids too.
