Stayed for one night en route to ploughing championships, excellent dinner in bar, friendly pleasant staff, rooms very comfortable, delicious breakfast. Reception staff very pleasant and helpful.

Called in for lunch today and wasn’t disappointed at all. Fantastic service and great value. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning. 5* from this party of 3.

We stayed here at the weekend with 2 smalls kids and had the best time. Hotel is fabulous and food was divine. Staff could not do enough for you. Kids loved the pool so big and spotless. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed last night and attended the Westlife Take That show. Was so well organised and covid compliant from the minute you walk in the hotel door. The meal deal with the show was great value. All staff we met were lovely, great variety of food and really nice, show was great, Prosecco on arrival was a nice touch, entertainers really gave it their all and made it an experience for everyone, even took time to include the audience and take photos afterwards. Had a few drinks in the bag after and the guy playing music was also very good. We really enjoyed everything about it. Room was lovely, comfy beds, warm, buffet breakfast had a great selection to suit all tastes. Thanks for a lovely stay, will definitely be back.

We had a very pleasant stay and the show was fantastic I would highly recommend the hotel to. Every one the staff was very Pleasant and friendly and very helpful.

Just home from our 2 night stay in this fabulous hotel from the moment we walked through the doors we were greeted by the most friendly staff which continued throughout the whole hotel from the staff in the amazing Secret Garden the bar and restaurant the house keeping the breakfast servers and all the management team the decor in the hotel is fabulous & comfortable and the atmosphere is so relaxing also there is a great selection of delicious fresh food for all foodies you will most definitely enjoy your stay in this fabulous hotel ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I recommend absolutely everything about the hotel and I cannot praise the staff enough. They are amazing. The go above and beyond for their guests and always have a smile on their faces. I will be returning there for any family event in the future. I know they will make it extra special.

I was treated to take out lunch today for Mother’s Day. The food was delicious, starter main course and dessert were all so tasty. It was packed and presented very well. The food was still nice and warm when I got home and the kind waitress helped bring the food to the car. A lovely treat.

Highly recommend this hotel, food was excellent and the service from Danielle and Kaitlyn on Saturday 19th December was just top class. They couldn't do enough and regularly checked if we needed anything despite being incredibly busy. Please pass our thanks on to these two ladies as they are an asset to your hotel.

Would highly recommend this hotel… I stayed 2 nights with my wife in an upgraded room (room was massive) … food and breakfast was absolutely delicious but for me where this hotel excels and deserves a special mention is their staff from front desk to bar staff, breakfast staff waitresses etc… I never met 1 of the before mentioned without a smile on their face and so pleasant each and everytime to help you… well done athlone springs hotel look forward to visiting again soon…

Stayed here on what should have been our wedding day and had dinner in the lovely Cedar Restaurant. Everything was fabulous. The staff really went over and above. The room and the food were amazing. It was definitely just what we needed to lift our spirits! Highly recommend.

We had our daughters communion in the hotel recently, we had a great experience from booking to the day itself. The staff were friendly, helpful and very accomodating. We had a lovely relaxed day, and even had some beautiful decor supplied by the hotel for the room. We dealt with Mark and Sally and both were extremely helpful, all the staff were, these are just the names I know. Thank you for helping us make our daughters communion celebration a great one!

The staff are amazing cannot do enough for you, our room was lovely very spacious and comfortable and clean, breakfast, lunch and dinner was was excellent.

I stayed here for 2 nights this week and all I can say is the hotel is fabulous from the bedrooms to the bar just outstanding, the staff are super friendly and nice Couldn’t of asked for a better stay will definitely be coming back again.

Very helpful staff also love the new style bar and menu very well presented and well situated.

Great food and lovely friendly staff BUT after our food on Thursday eve 18th July… I had a Hennessy brandy. And when I ordered another one… to my surprise they told me they were out of Hennessy! The nice bar staff member gave me the option of having another brand of brandy but said it would cost 9euro!
How can a top class hotel … not have a supply of Hennessy brandy?

I was at a ball here last night and would just like to say how amazing the staff were. From the minute we walked in to when we left they couldn’t do enough. Food was excellent too. I’ll be back for sure. Wd!

Just returned from a 2 night family break, we had a great time, staff were all very friendly amd helpful, food was fab, kids loved the pool. We did have a little issue but it was sorted and manager Olive could not be more helpful.

Wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone with children it’s not kid friendly in the slightest manager on duty Gail was very undermining and patronizing would not return as it was more of a hassle than a break … advertised kids camp for school holidays on there website and when we arrived Gail told us they don’t have one and havent had in over a year, there’s a play center 10 mins down the road what more did we want her to do … so rude she needs a to brush up her people skills or go into different line of work I will be informing all family and friends about our stay like the neck of some hotels and there staff.

Just back from a lovely stay with you, we were their for a family gathering and had a great time. Thanks to CJ who helped me organise it all. All the staff were brilliant and very attentive. The bar manager and the lady restaurant manager assured we were looked after very well. Food was amazing and rooms perfect. Will definitely be making it an annual ladies night away. Absolutely disappointed. We were there for one night (140 euros) and it was just so bad experience. Went to room, bathroom wasn't cleaned properly. Had some rest, went down the restaurant and it was just disgusting dirty plates, very poor quality food. Im a chef in hotel too, that was not 4 stars. Even fresh cream in dessert plate yellow, and hard, completely gone off. Never again, and specially over priced. Supposed to be 2 stars.

Great leisure centre. Food is good. Large supervalu only 1 min walk away. All staff very friendly and helpful.

I stayed at the Athlone Springs recently with a large group of people — — All families — — I found ALL of the reception staff to be very helpful — — especially CJ! We got a great group booking quote. All of the staff were very helpful — — staff from bar (gin glasses are needed?! ) to restaurant to the girls cleaning the rooms and the pool staff — — they were all very child friendly — — any problems or questions we had were dealt with very professionally. The rooms were particularly warm and needed air conditioning.

No air conditioning or fridges in rooms, very warm rooms in summer. The staff are so nice and friendly all over the hotel from the front desk to the great swimming pool. I would stay here again but when the weather is a bit cooler.

Called into Hotel last Sunday evening on the way home from Kerry match in Clones. Was delighted to see Kerry team also dining there. Had food in the bar excellent burger and my friend raves about the steak sandwich, such friendly service from Steven very friendly and helpful. Place was busy so that’s a good sign. Might stay longer next time.

I drive 140 km for the famous sea food chowder. Unfortunately this time it wasn't as good as I expected, it was too thick and plain. Cheese cake portion now is smaller than last time. But anyway it's nice place to stay and dine.

Just been to the Springs hotel for an overnight stay, and couldn't fault it,. Myself and my wife had a great double room that had a king size bed, and room itself was very spacious, only thing I would say, bar menu is limited, fair enough, I thought homemade burger /chips was pricey @12.95,,, but a small matter wouldn't put me off returning,. Also, very friendly, helpful staff, breakfast v good!

We stayed here for one night and one night was enough. Service at dinner was awful. The pool stank of urine and the water was freezing. The room was basic but had all we needed. Its getting two stars for the room and the dinner. Once we eventually got served dinner was nice.

Very modern and contemporary Hotel. For meals you have to stay there only one night as they serve always the same thing. Otherwise the reception is nice.

We found the staff very helpful, especially Sinéad in the restaurant, and the hotel nice and clean, food was delicious. We will be back again.

Stopped at this hotel for something to eat, very nice place to eat.

It was very good, clean, decent, nice rooms, there was a gym, swimming pool, bar, cafeteria, kids club I think it would be good for the kids and family.

Just came back from a weekend here with my family to celebrate our sons birthday. Have to say, even though we have been before, you surpassed yourselves this time. Nothing was too much to ask, all of the staff were so friendly. The food was delicious in the restaurant. I would particularly like to mention Sinead in the restaurant who was so wonderful. There was a wee mix up with our dinner and she was amazing. Thanks again, we will most definitely be back.

Room 102 has ventilation ducting outside the window and it ran all night. Awful noise, very little sleep. The room was tatty and worn. A very rough paint job had been done at some stage. However the door frame had paint chipped off it and so did the corner of the wall. Alot of the walls were dirty with visible marks on them. A wet cloth would probably do wonders here. The white plastic wall sockets were dirty. The bath was chipped. The gold coloured chair at the table had blue paint marks on one side of the back cushion — perhaps this paint would go better on the wall. The bed linen was clean and Im sure the bed would be great for sleeping in if it wasnt for the roaring ventilation fans outside the window. Given its condition this room would be better used as a store room or linen cupboard that way the obscurity frosted glass in the window would make sense, otherwise its just a smart attempt to hide the view of the industrial ventilation ducting outside the window. Four star hotel? Eh not from what I experienced, no.

Lovely hotel, we had a great couple of days there. The dressing rooms in the swimming pool were freezing so we did not use this facility as much as we normally would when we stay in hotels.

Fantastic to have a local hotel like this with many facilities and friendly staff! family are in it every week for swimming lessons, the sauna and gym. It is great Sunday lunches… or just a relaxing cuppa or pint.

Nice hotel with a great gym. Very reasonable in terms of price. The bar is cosy with a good atmosphere and good food.

This hotel does not deserve 4 stars. No option to increase temperature in the room, as heating is controlled by reception (we had to call them 3 times to turn it on). Tiles in the toilet (under the sink) were half broken, food is very very bad (I guess they just heat the frozen food). Apart from that staff are nice and kind and it is relatively clean.

Spent a nice afternoon here at a family event. Easy to find. Would come back again.

My husband ordered the beef burger from the menu. He asked the waiter for the burger to have no sauce on it. When the burger arrived to him with sauce on it. He sent the burger back to the kitchen. The same burger arrived back to him. All the kichen did was scrape some of the sauce off and send it back to him.

The rooms were nice. Customer service was excellent and very friendly. I would stay here again!

What a super hotel — wonderful friendly helpful staff, gorgeous food, absolutely lovely rooms (fabulous showers! ) and they manage several events at the one time with consumate ease. I would definitely return.

The rooms are spacious and modern — spa was fantastic and again value for money (including light lunch) it is a bit outside of athlone and therefore not a lot to do around it but I d def return.

Stayed recently with my wife and could not find a room with a comfortable bed. Eventually settled on a room at the back but external fans interfered with sleep. General Manager seemed to think it was our fault! He said in a reply on tripadvisor that "nor does the guest meet the Hotel's expectations" It seems the General Manager Mr. Cross was cross with my post, even though the staff were excellent and did everythingthey could.

E xcellent service. Staff well mannered and helpful. Only one poor point. Tea served after meal to group was cold and sooo strong!

Ok hotel. Rooms were good. Some wall sockets didn't work. The shower wasn't great. The room got way too warm at night because only one of the windows opened slightly. The bar and restaurant was good. Wi-Fi was great. Should be a 3 star hotel.

Hotel of good standing, the toilets are as new and cleaned regularly. The rooms are spacious and the meals are plentiful.

Lovely staff and very helpful. We really loved the restaurant and leisure centre. Will definately visit again.

Just back from athlone springs and must say the whole experience was so enjoyable we were really looked after the staff were so nice and the room was beautiful and food was gorgeus and affordable prices for 3 course meal and my son had a ball would highly recommend will defo be back.

We had a one night stay here. We went for dinner, the waiter seemed extremely busy. He brought a jug of water to the table which was beyond dirty, he then replaced it with an equally dirty stainless steel jug. Ordered a pint of lager with our meal and it was also dirty. The meal was very good, its only down fall was a crack on the plate and grubby cutlery. We got a drink in the bar and brought it back to the room, to find both glasses dirty. The room itself appeared to be clean, but on use it was grubby. Dirty glasses by the sink, no plug for the sink which did not drain quickly that caused dirt to come back into the sink from the drain. Toilet didn't flush sufficiently. Shower rail covered in rust. Finally the window in the room which opened on to a roof has no child lock whatsoever, it would be a worry if we had a young child with us. Breakfast was included in our stay, but we decided not to have any based on the cleanliness we experienced in the restaurant the previous night.

The gym is great and afterwards you have the choice of the swimming pool. Sauna. Steam room and jacuzzi. The staff are very helpful and we'll trained to your particular needs.

Was here for a wedding over the weekend. The wedding was great. The room was lovely. The food was good. Everything from the outside looked amazing. But the room they put me in was a dump. There were huge holes in the curtains. Only one out of six sets of plug sockets worked. And the bed! First, for context, it was two singles pushed together (which I don't fault actually), one side was slanted and rolled you off the bed. The other had a huge dent and you wound up laying in crater. This place markets itself as a 4 star hotel, but I stayed at a budget hotel in Belfast last week for 3/4's of what they charged me for one night. And that room was miles better. They had a better breakfast there too.

The hotel is located on a lovely lake. Which serves good food with better cocktails.

Just back from a stay at Athlone Springs. The room was cosy and warm. The voile curtains on the window were despicable. It looked like many dirty hands had been rubbed over it over time and they had never been cleaned. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on in a hotel in Ireland. The springs in it have seen better days.
The swimming pool was a complete disappointment. There was no attendant on the desk when we arrived. The changing area was grubby and covered in dirty towels. The swimming pool itself had no life guard on duty. And it was apparent from the cloudy water that the chlorine levels were insufficient. Grime could be clearly seen on the walls of the pool and it's obvious why it hasn't been awarded a white flag since 2013.
The restaurant served lovely food for dinner so had no issues there.
The bar was tiny and cramped and lacked atmosphere.
In my opinion doesn't rate 4 stars and I won't be returning.

We had a Communion here and it was very good. Buffet style dinner which was great quality with all you can eat. Staff are friendly and helpful. Hotel is clean and comfortable. Overall very good value.

Staff were unreal. So helpful from the word go. Room was lovely although the window safety latch seemed broken. Spa was small but treatment was gorgeous. Gym was great good music. Pool was huge. Dinner was delicious, cocktails were strong but not the prettiest to look at and the selection was small. Breakfast was buffet style and had great choice.

The staff were fantastic & so friendly. The food and choice was great from breakfast to lunch & dinner. The kids loved the kids club and we couldn't keep them out of the pool. The family room we got was huge spotless & no noise or anything. All round thumbs up from us.

Great hen weekend. Lovely weather and great facilities. No air con in rooms tho. So very hot.
