Myself and my family stayed in Slane farm Hostel last weekend and it was a great experience and the owner is lovely and welcoming would highly recommend and we will be back again 🏕️

Camped here for Metallica concert. So well organised campsite! Great atmosphere, good location, well lit and safe!
Decent toilets. Taking into consideration the amount of people, always plenty of toilet paper and staff taking care of any issues. Thank you for making the concert experience even better!

We camped for Metallica this weekend. We really enjoyed our stay. Plenty facilities helpful staff. The owner's Dad what a gentleman so nice to see a family business doing so well. Congratulations on a very organized weekend.

Camped here for Metallica. Such a good setup and so nice and close to the venue! Being able to park next to your tent was an absolute godsend! It was really well organised and staff were on the ball. There was an issue with water pressure in the toilets on Friday and they had a plumber out straight away trying to get it sorted. It felt really safe and friendly. Would definitely recommend camping here for a gig only changes I would like to see is maybe if one of the toilet trailers was moved to the top of the hill as it felt like a long walk down in the mud during the night and an extra food van would go down well because it was in high demand.

Loved this campsite as did our 6 children looking forward to returning again this summer.

Best staff family business have camped t here last two years and will be there next summer again all facilities up to spec never stayed in the cottages but was in them fab even there when the gunners were playing be back for 5 days next year for more.

I haven’t been yet, but had to get in touch with a lot of questions about accessibility. The staff have been absolutely fantastic answering all of my questions and invited us to check the layout and services prior to booking. Very impressed with responses and details and customer service.

Cottages, hotel, camping: several possibilities. Very warm welcome from the manager. Colder relationship with the little girl.
Great for kids as there are a few animals and a swing.
Over the past 3 days, a day without hot water unfortunately.

Slane Farm is a very handy location for weddings in Tankardstown. Cheap and cheerful accommodation only minutes from the venue. The owners kindly gave us a lift to collect our car the next day. The only thing I felt could be improved was that the bathroom could be cleaner.

Well run family camp site, ideal for Tayto park and funtasia. EHU available.

One of the best places what I visit in Ireland. Very kind staff nd owner. Very clean place. Quiet place for visit nd rest from noise big city. Defo I come bk there again.

Lovely place close to sláne Castle during festival season and close to the town staff very friendly and helpful.

This is my 2nd time to the farm. Both experiences were great… Perfect place for my family to camp. Kids can't wait to go back.

Great time here, very well set-up,. Plenty of toilets, showers well maintained. Kitchen has a microwave, hob cooker with sink free to use.

If you want a warm welcome and extremely helpful owners this is the place to stay. Gemma & Gordon couldn't have been more helpful. Camping facilities are basic and in April a bit chilly, but that was a small price to pay for the overall quality of service. Charges were really good value for money. It's only a few miles from Newgrange & Knowth. Has some great friendly pubs in the village centre which is only a 20 minutes walk away. Loved it and would happily go again.

Great as always. Our kids from Taekwando camp always have an absolute ball staying here.

Absolutely amazing staff and owners small and remote off the beaten path just right for anyone trying to spend time in the countryside.

We stayed at slane farm on St Patrick weekend 2018. We were attending a wedding very close bye. The accommodation was perfect. We booked a one bed cottage and a room in the hostel for our son. The people who run slane farm were really friendly and there accommodated a extra single bed in the cottage for the second night of our stay with no problem at all. We would highly recommend slane farm and would stay again. Walker family.

It was cold when we got there. Left my top on the radiator to dry overnight however the heating is automatically cut off beyond the visitors control and eclectic seems to get cut off also. Headboard broken in the bed too, good shower cheap and cheerful I guess.

Stayed there great service.

Great lodging overall, great staff and also really fun to explore the woods beside the hostel.

I stayed here for my party at the campsite there are lovely woods right beside and I got a bunch of cute pics worthy of Instagram I highly recommend this place.

Good hostel. Could do with a clean, but good for a stay and quite convenient.

We had a great weekend here. Came down late Friday afternoon and left around 10 Sunday morning…
Everyone was so nice, from vendors and other campers…

Stayed here on the Saturday night, we arrived 9.30am saturday morning so were probably amoung the last so we were away at the top field which was a bit of a nightmare, the grass was that long & cow shit everywere we couldn't put the tent up, some got theirs up but others like us couldn't. We were too far to far away from the toilets & showers, really think there should have been more portaloo's up near the top. But it was worth it for the music.

Good access tracks, lots of staff, good toilets, reasonable length queues for a concert weekend, relaxed atmosphere which everyone seemed to be respecting. A third set of toilets at the top of the hill would have made things a bit more enjoyable for all. For some reason the area where I was camped didn't have any order to it unlike elsewhere and my car was blocked by 2-3 cars/tents from the main access track which made me a tad anxious. This was Presumably due to us arrivin…g at a busy time — 9pm Friday night and people were parking faster than the staff could manage. Therefore I would suggest more guidance on the access paths such as spray paint so people don't park and camp in other people's way when a staff member isn't available to direct them. However it all worked out Monday morning and the way was clear around 9am. Though all the fires were under control and I didn't see anything that caused me alarm I could see how things could go very wrong with such a density of tents. It is a fine line between a relaxed atmosphere and chaos. I suggest that campers are instructed to light their fires a minimum distance from tents and in an accessible location should it need to be extinguished by the staff if deemed to be out of control. Overall a wonderful atmosphere and I was impressed with everyone's respectful and clean attitude.

Fabulous weekend… stayed here for the guns n' roses gig with my 6 year old… campsite was amazing… no bother and everyone around us was very friendly… toilets and showers were amazing (by far the best I have used at one of these events) maximum we waited was 5 mins… staff were lovely… food onsite plus tea and coffee stand… definitely value for money… would highly recommend xx.

Landed friday evening, no messing. Ticket scanned and wrist bands provided. Got a great spot and set up. 3 vehicles 6 people and a terrific weekend. Blasted music, sat and chatted around a fire all friday night sat and shipped out this morning sunday, the atmosphere was electric throughout. Even got offered a tow by staff and werent even stuck
The toilet facilities were right beside us no q's necessary and food stalls if we needed them.
Only thing I saw wrong with this camsite was people leaving without putting their mounds of rubbish in or near the skip provided. (Nothing to do with the site itself)

Beautiful cottages, friendly staff and kids loved collecting there own eggs for breakfast.

Good location friendly & helpful staff basic accommodation but clean & good price will go again.

We are just back from spending two days in the cottages (the nooks) we had a fab time as we needed somewhere to stay to do all the theme parks and it's location was spot on. Thanks to the staff and there hospitality would recommend it to everyone.

Lovely place to stay and very friendly and would highly recommend this place will be back next year x.

Slane farm was the Ideal location for this fairy themed hen of 30 women of all ages. I searched all over Ireland to find this gem. When I visited the site I knew it was the most perfect location! The staff were lovely and incredably helpful from start to finish and answered every request with enthusiasm. We were left to our own devises. Taking over the farm. Decorating the hostel and cottages and dressing up as fairies. We stayed in two cottages and the hostel. These were all spotlessly clean and well maintained, had good facilities and thier own homey country cottage feel. We cooked for ourselves using the ovens at our disposal and all fit in for a sit down meal in the hotel dining room and kitchen. Cottages and hostel were very resonably priced which ment that our hen didnt cost the earth for people coming to us. We ran our own activities and cooked our own meals every one pitched in and it felt more like a themed girly family gathering that almost everyone could make. It was ideally located just off of the M3 motorway not far from Dublin and very accesible from everywhere in Ireland. A shuttlebus was arrainged to the local pub Ryans and Gormloughs for the nights activities. This was a 5 min drive away and had a seperate room with a stage, sound system bar and stove (which was on full blast) when we got there. Fab time there. Then back by bus to the hostel again where we stayed up till dawn eating left over cake and chatting.
