Dalys Inn

Fair play we were late for food as it had closed I think at 8pm but they allowed us to have food from the chippy and eat in the bar very unusual and most hospitable, the bar men were brilliant! I wouldn't recommend the chippy mind (NOT THE BEST) so turn up early for food and the bed in our room was so comfy brilliant sleep 👍

Thanks to all the staff and owners of Dalys for a fabulous weekend. We had a really gorgeous meal "to die for really" compliments to the chef. Room was beautiful & spotless clean, drinks were fab and staff and locals very welcoming and friendly. We look forward to returning soon.

Quick lunch in the Dalys Inn with a great patato soup of the day with lovely homemade brown bread.
Very nice waiter and great atmosphere in the restauran/pub.

We spent 2 nights in this establishment.
The room was ok, seemed clean enough. The toilet was leaking water, shower was cold, TV was broken. We contacted them about the TV, they were no help at all.
The food in the pub was mediocre and overpriced for the quality and portion size. However the drinks were nice though and the wait and bar staff in there were very friendly.
The room rules included a rule against food in the room, which insinuates they want you to spend money in the pub. On our second night we went to the chipper down the road, which is absolutely lovely.
I don't think we'd be visiting again.

We arrived to our room, and there was a lot of muck/dirt in the shower. There was tea and coffee making things, but no kettle, and there was a TV but no remote. We went to the bar for dinner and drinks, while there I spoke to Tony and told him about the kettle and remote. He asked for my room number and said he would look after it. I returned back to my table. We later went back to the room and nothing had been dropped over, so my partner spoke to a bar man about it who said he doesn't have access to those things and there was nothing that could be done. I had sent an email to them through their own website that night, so at least they could still be dropped over in the morning so we could make tea/coffee. I have yet to receive a response. A very poor stay. The bar was nice, food was ok.

I stayed 2 nights in a twin room. The decor is tired and shabby, clean enough for what we needed. No heat in the radiators and no hot water in the morning.
Check in is via the bar in the pub, we asked about breakfast but none was available.
Check out is literally a post box for the room key by the front door. There is parking available but it’s not secure.
It’s a good central location for visiting boyne valley, the bar staff are very friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere in the bar. Needs to be updated.

Stayed here 5 years ago, restaurant/dining staff nice, food nice. Room we were in adequate, cleaning was a squirt of disinfectant down the toilet (literally only). Noisy, drunk men in corridor and in the morning, men sleeping the hallway, bar staff and bar hygiene, friendlyness inadequate.
Truly hope this establishment has different owners.

Went here for dinner after seeing Newgrange and Knowth. Great and attentive service and excellent food.

The restaurant was quiet on Easter Monday afternoon. The menu featured a lot of items but the waitress told us that there was no lamb, turkey, ham or chicken wings. The floor in the restaurant was quite dirty, particularly the carpet which needed a serious vacuuming. The food itself was tasty, though the chicken burger had pickles which seemed odd, and it was really quite watery for a burger. Salmon was good. Service was friendly and sharpish. There was plenty of parking. Toilets were fine.

We had a warm welcome at Daly's for a family meal with my son and his twin daughters. High chairs were provided, the children's meal came out first, then the adult meals of excellent rack of lamb and good burger. The waitress looked after us well and brought a large portion each of ice cream for the girls, even though they had shared a children's meal. Merlot and Guinness were good value.

Myself and my partner went to Dalys Donore on Sunday February 4th for our tea. I had the Lasagne and my partner had garlic mushrooms. The lasagne was just sauce and sheets of pasta no mince whatsoever. The garlic mushrooms when the batter was removed were as black as your boot. Really terrible stomach churning food. I complained to two staff members but was charged the full price. Avoid like the plague.

We had a lovely family meal (11 of us) in August 2023. Staff very friendly and attentive. Service was excellent. Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Our meals varied from steak, burgers, lasagne, curry, wraps and all were delicious. Our table was in a lovely spot by the window. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening in Daly’s. Thank you to you all.

For this place everything is really good. Especially lovely stuff. Hotel has a pub and restaurant zone. Every week there is a Bingo game in the restaurant. Live music is played in the pub on weekends. The hotel left the warmest and most pleasant memories of Ireland.

Stopped off for lunch. Very disappointed with the two pizzas that we were served for our two children (19 & 15). The other main courses were okay. Definitely would not go out of our way for food again to this restaurant.

Great hotel, though there are heavy cars driving the room was beautifully quiet, I love the use of neutral smelling washing powder. The bathroom though wasn't completely clean (nothing annoying but it looked sloppy cleaned). The kettle though looked like it never had been cleaned. But all in all I would go there again.

Myself and my partner stayed here as he was playing in a pitch and putt championship nearby. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They put on the NZ Vs ireland rugby match for us at breakfast. The bar had a great atmosphere and served lovely pints. The locals and the staff had great chat and were very welcoming. The food was really good especially the burgers. Check in was efficient and although the room was basic it was very clean and suited us perfectly. Daly's is in a great location for visiting Newgrange and Slane.
