Newly Renovated Hotel with fantastic bar and restaurant. Great Ambiance. Location in the heart of Drogheda. Dealt with pleasant and very helpful staff.

The rooms are very spacious and clean and the food in the restaurant was very nice, great breakfast and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Wow what a weekend in a great hotel. Went there for 2 nights Friday to Sunday with my husband and barely left the hotel. The reason why? Everything on your doorstep! Brilliant hotel, bar and restaurant. The music in the bar was brilliant on the Friday night. Had such a great night and all the staff were so friendly and relaxed. Tried the on site Italian restaurant on the Saturday night and was served by the lovely Louise. She was very professional yet humorous and engaging. You could see her natural efforts to ensure everyone was enjoying themselves. A great host! The food was amazing. We had the pizza which was soooo good, prawns amazing and the buffalo mozzarella salad fresh and tasty. Also I think his name was Rory who might have been part of the security team was really chatty too. We have been to many hotels some much more expensive and this was definitely the best one we stayed in in a long time which was down to the set up and the staff. Can't wait to go back and become their regulars. ☺

We went, we stayed and it was nice. The D hotel has been listed as four star but I think 3 star as far as accommodation goes and thats being generous! 2.6 would suffice. That said, the staff got 5 ⭐⭐⭐ all the way! The food was of a fair standard but the Italian food in the restaurant mediocre. Again this was saved by the staff who did give great service with impeccable manners and minimum fuss.

Lovely hotel, staff are really nice but they could do with employing some experienced staff and not putting young part time students behind bars and expecting them to run it. Fair play to the kids working and doing their best. Bad management tho.

Nice hotel. Parking is on front of the hotel behind a barrier. No signage. It doesn't look part of the hotel. They validate your ticket.

Nice rooms. Very good front of house staff. Cracking bar!

I'd recommend it to any 1 it's a fabulous place to get away for a few days. Fine food, frendly staff what more do u need.

Brilliant service, especially Louise in the restaurant, made us feel so welcoming and good oul craic, bar staff were amazing and room was spacious, spotless and quiet best hotel I've ever stayed in. Hope to see yous soon claire x.

Have stayed here twice now and the rooms are fantastic. Comfortable beds and seats.

Great location and some new renovations investment are definitely improving things Hops Pub/Bar was most enjoyable… make sure you tell Jack & Ciara hello.

My husband and I have stayed here numerous occasions, I have to say its a beautiful hotel. The staff at reception are just so friendly making sure u are happy. We ate in ilponte gorgeous and also hops bar which was delicious. The service was extremely good. The girls serving in bar very pleasant also Jason is a very nice guy. The rooms are newly decorated and are so fresh and bright. I would highly reccommend the D Hotel and really look forward to our return. Aine pettigrew.

Lovely modern hotel which has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and comfortable with a. Modern decor. For coffee lovers there is an excellent barrista. It is hard to find but worth it when you get there. Good parking with disabled parking and access to the hotel. Food excellent with varied menu so something to suit all culinary tastes.

Enjoyed an over night stay here this week, myself and a friend where going to a local show. The hotel is really a lovely place, set along the river very central location. On arriving early afternoon we enjoyed lovely food in the bar, everything great lovely room, staff attitude great, very helpfull friendly, especially the young waitress in the bar. We had booked room only, paid 24euro on arrival for breakfast. We went down following morning at 10.45am for breakfast, breakfast serviced from 8am-11am. The dining room was pretty busy, I only seen 2 staff working on the floor, it was all a bit crazy, the breakfast was a buffet, it was set out very badly, once you had your cooked breakfast toast and breads juices inside the dining area, no cutlery available, no bread to toast, had to go chasing staff for everything, tea/coffee in fairness to the staff they where under pressure not enought of them. My breakfast near cold by the time I was ready to eat, all the pastries where gone by the time we had finished eating. The food was delicious service lay out bad. You would have got 5 stars only for mess up at breakfast.

Very good the bar recommended to the whole world, the only bad thing is that they took a little.

We had a lovely view of the river from the room, some beautiful cocktails in the bar and a very nice 3 course meal, I would highly recommend this place and will return in future.

Had a lovely meal served by Louise who made us most welcome and friendly and attentive. Would recommend Ilponte to friends and look forward to our return visit.

Great location, lots of restaurants within walking distance, shopping mall right next door. If possible, ask for room facing the river — awesome view. Front desk staffs are always cheery.

Great hotel. Wonderful staff, friendly and so helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Loved our stay here. Couldn't find fault with anything. Looking forward to our next stay.

I stayed at The d for two nights while in Ireland. It was fantastic! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, our room was amazing, the Wi-Fi was strong, and it was close walking distance to a lot of points of interest in the city.

The d Hotel is a wonderful place to stay for any occasion. There are many restaurants around the area, however, the Hop House bar serves excellent food. Their special was a 6 oz sirloin and fries just the other night. If you're in Drogheda, this is highly recommended.

Stayed there last week lovely hotel, and the new Italian restaurant was beautiful, and got served by a lovely lady called louise who could not have been more helpful!

Quality 4 star boutique hotel on the River Boyne with its splendid views of the distant church spires, the quays and viaduct bridge. Recomnend a stopover esp. If visiting drogheda or next door in the on site shopping centre.

Rooms are spacious and clean. Hotel is quiet, well located. Breakfast though could be a bit upgraded…

We went to see Mary Couglan at the D Hotel last night… A class act that was sadly let down enormously by the devisive behaviour of the hotel. The show was advertised for 8pm. When we got there there was a sign saying doors open at 8pm, music starts at 10pm. The waiting crowd was unhappy, to say the least. When the doors opened, we were told the band wouldn't start till 10:30! The hotel staff claimed they didn't know why this was, and implied that it was the artists decision. They didn't have the authority to issue refunds and the guy who could do that was "not possible to call". Hmmm. So we got a drink and sat down while trying to decide if we should go or not. So did everyone else. The situation stank! We knew that we were doing exactly what the hotel wanted… Spending money at the bar while we waited! So at 9:10 the band started. Mary Couglan apologised for the delayed start, saying that they had been told they wouldn't be starting till 10pm. They themselves had been wondering what they would do with the 2 hour wait. Seriously! How disrespectfully can a hotel behave towards its customers?!? I'd go and see Mary Couglan again in a heartbeat. I'd think long and hard before investing in a babysitter to go and see a gig at The D hotel again though!

Lovely hotel centrally right next to Scotch Hall Shopping centre and within a stones throw of the town centre. The package we got was excellent value as we got 3 nights bed & breakfast plus access to Dublin Zoo Tayto Park and fantasia. The Reception staff were professional. The rooms were cleaned to a high standard. The food and service in IL Ponte was a bit disappointing to be honest and the 80s music does not suit the Italian theme. But have to say the bar and the bar staff really make the place. They are warm friendly and welcoming and the food is actually nicer than the restaurant plus the decor is beautiful. Overall a positive experience just needs a few tweaks and the customer experience will be vastly improved.

Location is great, had a great river view. A few of our party had trouble with their room keys stopping working, and the 'guest computer' they directed you to for trying to print boarding passes was not functional, and the next person at the desk said you had to email it to them and they would print it (would have saved a lot of time if first person just said that), and there is no a/c (which isn't often a problem, but we had heat wave). Staff was generally pretty friendly, so nice, solid, no frills place.

Was with a tour group to stay overnight, staff was totally overwhelmed, dinner time was at 7 pm, the dessert was served at 9pm. No hairdryer in the room. On the bed no light only a shaky floor lamp which did not work. All German programs on television were disabled. Otherwise a nice hotel with nice rooms to the river and less appealing to the backyard and car park.

Worst night ever. Music blasting from the ball room right underneath me till one o clock. Never coming back again.

It a great looking hotel with great food but the Wi-Fi is a little slow and the beds are a little hard.

I have had lunch there a few times and it was very good. Airy and bright. Nice riverside location. I never stayed overnight.

This hotel is in a great spot in Drogheda, and food is good. But if you are there on the weekends be ready not to sleep do to loud music in the bar. Which can go on till 2.30 am.

Well designed an modern hotel. Room was great. Food not cheap but of good standard. Staff very helpful.
