Thanks to all staff, from reception to Spa, and especially to Mr. Alley. Our Penthouse appartament 005 (The Heritage) was so luxury like Versailles :). Such a good experience with spa, breakfast and dinner.

Just had the most perfect stay. The food was amazing, the staff could not do enough for us and the treatments in the SPA was out of this world. I would highly recommend any to experience the hotel and beautiful surroundings.

Fantastic golf course. We where 8 players from Lofoten golf links in Norway. We where treated very well. We are looking forward to playing our other 2 rounds there.

Superb facility, excellent staff and wonderful golf course.
Played the course early June, great layout with none of the holes interfering or crossing each other. The fairways are immaculate and are fairly generous. The greens are superb. Running as true as anything I have played on this year.
Overall I really enjoyed playing at The Heritage and I can’t wait till August to stay and play a couple nights.

Under rated golf course. One of the best in country.

Gorgeous place to stay in for a weekend. We used the restaurant and the Spa. Cannot fault the place. The only thing that would put us off from coming back is that it's in a very secluded place so you'd need to drive absolutely everywhere.

Child friendly luxurious hotel with beautiful scenic surroundings. The hotel pool has a shallow children's pool and bubble feature that will keep them entertained. While the spa has a multitude of thermal pools, relaxation rooms, foot spa, cold water bucket room, etc … The hotel 5 star restaurant looks amazing, and the Judge Roy Beans restaurant offers a more affordable option.

Beautiful hotel in a quiet secluded spot but easily accessible to the Dublin motorway. It's really close to The Kildare Village outlet centre. Great place to stay if you want a little but of luxury. The spa is beautiful, the food is amazing and the service reflects the 5 stars. Thoroughly enjoyed my few days here and have already booked to come back.

A tracking course that plays long and tests all facets of your golf game. You have to be spot on to play to your handicap. Good Course management a must. Fabulous location, stayed in the luxurious Augusta Suite. Amazing! Good food and staff top class. Slainte.

Beautiful place… golf course, hotel, spa… been here many times, most recently for lunch midweek… great service, good food, lovely setting… little expensive but it is a 5 star hotel… if this place wasn't in the middle of nowhere it would be much busier… well worth a visit if you are passing or in Laois and looking for a good place to eat, God knows they are few and far between in Laois.

Lovely location. Bar food is ok. Not worth the high price. Location is lovely but the food doesn't 'wow in comparison with other less flashy places.

Nice hotel, lovely grounds and great good. A good place to get away from it as a couple. You even get a rubber duck in the bath.

This was a break with 3 work friends. Two rounds of golf with overnight stay with dinner and breakfast included. We all had a good time. The first day of golf was good with the sun shinning but the wind was strong and seem no matter what way we played it was always in our faces. Second was raining with the wind slightly stronger. The bunkers were rock hard. They needed a really good raking. Greens needed attained too. Accommodation was good but the shower were we stayed we couldn't change temperature also the hieght of the shower head. Overall we had a good time. Will head for a different course next time but maybe someday good back.

Beautiful setting with a lovely walk trail. Staff are the friendliest and most helpful I've ever met. The room was modern and well-appointed. The Spa is a relaxing area. All and all a wonderful hotel!

Warm welcoming public areas, excellent staff, great food. So pleasant you won't want to leave. The Spa, gym and swimming pool are immaculate, the one criticism I would make is there is no indoor corridor between the hotel and the health club. Given Ireland's changeable weather it is a necessity and a bad oversight on whoever designed it.

Had lunch here at the bar. Poor selection of beers on tap. The food was also very very poor. I had a salad and the lettuce was all of the bad head part of the plant. The chicken was cold and bland, there was too much sauce, and the bowl they served it in toppled over far too easily. The service never once came back to check on us once, and at the end didn't listen at first when they asked how everything was (as they cleared our plates). I have it a star as they gave us a 10% discount as a result, but I would not order food from here again. My other half had the fish and chips which I tried and were ok, but not a 5 star standard. It was like 2 small Donegal Catch fillets and some chips, bit a big piece of fish in a custom batter like you might expect. Overall we had a very poor experience here and would not go back or recommend others to do so.

Wonderful hotel with a beautiful interior. I really enjoyed my stay there. It was for a wedding and I couldn't fault them on anything. The food was excellent (especially for a wedding) as was breakfast. If you are into golf, great location to be in. Would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful place to stay. Absolutely loved it, staff were very friendly our room was beautiful and the food was gorgeous. Definitely have the afternoon tea it was delicious.

Got a booking at short notice. The host wasn't satisfied that we had the best table so arranged better seating for us which was much appreciated. Food was as it always is, totally amazing and served with a smile. The only fly in the ointment was being left at the bar which was pretty quiet, while the bar staff apparently couldn't see us. When we did get served it was with a smile tho.

Really lovely hotel, with fantastic staff and great attention to detail. On arrival we found the staff had put a microwave, steriliser and bottle warmer in our room which was so incredibly thoughtful and really appreciated as we were travelling with our 4 month old. We couldn't speak more highly of all the staff; the concierge Andrew was so helpful, all the reception staff and the leisure centre staff in the pool were amazing also turning off the rapids when we took the baby to the pool. The hotel was beautiful and really well maintained. I would totally recommend this hotel and we can not wait to go again.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a night recently and had a wonderful time. At first we were disappointed because their restaurant was closed the night we were staying but the staff allowed us to eat from the restaurant menu and we couldn't have been happier. The food was fantastic the staff were absolutely brilliant and the hotel itself fully deserves its 5 star rating. I would definitely come back here again and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a short break away.

Excellent hotel with great facilities. The spa was a great treat. The thermal spa was free to use the day after our hour long massage. The breakfast is delicious and the restaurant our second night was presented well and tasted lovely. The bar food however was just ok! We were presented with a bottle of water I check out, simple but a nice touch.

What an amazing place. In a relatively remote setting but provides all that you could wish for in a weekend break. Attended for a wedding and loved it so much am returning in one week for a weekend of indulgence and pampering.

Absolutely fabulous 5 start resort. Great staff, beautiful grounds, comfortable beds and the best bubble bath I've had in years. They even supply a rubber duck! Watch the directions when driving though, c we were taken down a road that has now been blocked off. Just a slight detour, we were in the right place again within minutes.

Very nice hotel with beautiful rooms and great breakfast. We enjoyed having dinner in the bar and housekeeping did a great job to make our visit special!

Attended a wedding yesterday … lovely experience with most helpful staff. Everything we could have asked for … enjoyed it and would most certainly go back again.

Beautiful resort. Wonderful breakfast. Lovely grounds. Friendly staff. The bar was a nice place to get a drink and a bite to eat. Recommend the selection of local ice cream for a treat.

Fantastic hotel. Very family friendly. Was here with my wife and kids celebrating. We had ordered prosseco and the bar manager brought my young daughter down a glass of fizzy water in a glass with a strawberry on the side so she could celebrate with us. The pool is really nice and the playground is good fun. There is a fairy garden attached to the grounds which my daughter absolutely loved. When we returned to our room after dinner the turn down service had been completed and they had left a glass of milk and a personalized cookie for each of my girls. I can't recommend this place highly enough. Well worth a visit.

The Heritage golf and Country club Co designed by the great Seve Ballesteros is a beautiful well maintained golf course it is quite difficult but a joy to play.

Beautiful room, even if on first floor. Amazing breakfast. Wonderful and friendly staff. A little away from everything but that's both good and bad. Still an amazing place to stay. Would definitely stay again especially if I was a more avid golfer.

The whole spa experience and treatments after are heaven. I would recommend to anyone if you can, try it. You won't regret it. Also, afternoon tea is divine. I can only imagine what the rooms would be like. A bit expensive, but well worth as a treat.

We came for dinner with friends, and loved it. The staff was superb, the food was delicious, and the place is elegant but not stuffy. I wish we lived closer to it!

This is a fantastic location for families. It's not somewhere I would recommend for couples. We went to the pool area, only for it to be full of kids. There was no cordoned off lane for swimming, more of a free for all. There are very limited hours where kids are not allowed. The bar was much the same until about 8.30 when the kids started clearing out. Don't get me wrong, it's a gorgeous hotel. The staff are fantastic and couldn't do enough for us. We booked thinking we were getting a romantic night away and that just wasn't the case.

Good golf course. But, 5hrs 25 minutes to play a 4ball on Monday 16 June 2014! Extra pairings pushed in before the 4ball I was with. We were playing in the singles s/ford Monday comp Toff at 2.50. We were not the only ones to complain. My Wife and I will not be back.

Poor quality room, wall paper peeling off in 3 places, TV not working properly, heating poor, had food on first night was fine, second night told no tables available so we had to drive 20km to Portlaois. Overrated in my opinion and overpriced for the service and standard. Nowhere near the 5star experience we expected. Avoid.

We arrived late in the evening and left early. Thus we didn't really get to take advantage of many of the services or amenities. However, the service we did receive was above and beyond. Also the breakfast was a great way to get the day started. To elaborate a bit, we arrived at the hotel late in the evening around 8 or 9 pm without our luggage, it wasn't expected to arrive for another 12 hours, and after a LONG day of traveling from the USA, 3 flights and a 30 min drive from Dublin. Our party was exhausted and in desperate need of a shower. The front desk not only offered to get us the necessary toiletries that we were missing, but they had house keeping stay late so that we could get all of our clothing washed and dried. The bathroom, a welcome sight, included a huge claw foot tub that I took advantage of. The rooms were clean and in great condition. It wasn't especially fancy or full of character like some of the other places in Ireland, but there wasn't anything missing. The turn down service that included chocolate and a fresh bottle of water was a nice touch.
