Nice room, but there can be a lot of noise from the bar downstairs.

Perfect location for Temple Bar visit. It's just a 10 min walk away. Rooms are spacy and comfortable. Attention a Techno club is just a few buildings away. When there is party on the weekend you can hear the bass pumping through the walls.

An ok place for a trip to Dublin on a budget. The rooms are comfortable and mostly clean. Bathroom had some moisture problems but it looks like they are working on it. Don't expect a five star hotel. The reception is a window in the entrance hall. My window overlooked an air handler. When in Dublin I would probably stay here again.

Don't use the elevator, as its just short of a terrifying experience. Other than that, the room was amazing, the people were kind. Everything was clean and fancy and really nice.

The room is Clean and cozy and the location is perfect for traveling.

Located in a very central place, close to everything, room not very large, but in reality we come to explore the city and the hotel the right. Only need to not have breakfast service, but no more out there are many local.

Central location, you couldn't be anymore in the city center if you tried. We had a late check in so the receptionist was also working in the bar, gave the hotel a more personal feel and I'm yet to see it anywhere else. Made the hotel seem like it was detached from the busy city, the older gentleman was very polite and accommodating allow us to take our drinks up to our room without issue. Late check out at 12 was a big bonus.  The pillows were too hard for my liking but I can be fussy, having the luas right outside woke me but then again we stayed in the center of Dublin so the hotel can't really be to blame for that.

The staff were friendly but the room and what I saw of the hotel were very disappointing. Cracked mirrors, outdated stylings, lamps that didn't work and a temporarily unavailable lift when I am disabled.

To spend a day or two is fine. The facilities are comfortable, very friendly and correct. But the rooms are all carpeted, no air conditioning, and with such a humid climate fighting it alone with a small fan is not ideal.

Friendly staff, lovely rooms, very close to everything you need.

Annoying lack of power sockets in the room and strangely the bed had no headboard. But competitively priced and room was pleasant enough for a couple of nights stay. Ideal if you are planning a break and want a comfortable, basic, and affordable hotel.

We had a great time also the location is perfect for tourists recommended.

The only good thing about it was the location which was fantastic. For the price you pay you don't get much in return. The noise at night is unbearable as the tram line passes in front of the hotel. We tried closing the window but it got too warm in the room. We asked 3 times to get bed sheets so that we don't need to cover up in quilts (the only bedding provided), they kept telling us no problem but still got no sheets. It didn't feel like any hotel I've been to. The cold water tap in the bath couldn't open as it is fixed too close to the wall which doesn't allow for it to turn, I've never seen anything like it.

The location is very convenient.
The hotel although not cared for in detail is enriched by the kindness of the staff.

I can definitly recommend this hotel. Nice little Hotel for a fair price (in march). Really friendly workers there and a beautiful little Bar with some Snacks and live music. The location of the hotel is just awesome. You can reach nearly everything interesting in a few minutes footwalk (Ha, Penny bridge / Temple bar / Trinity College / Dublin Castle / The spire and a lot of bus stations in the O´Connell street including the express busses to the airport. We stayed on the second floor and it was not absolutely quiet at night but not as loud as some people write here, at least in my opinion. The average city noices which you hear everywhere and on the weekend you hear some music from the nearby Academy but well… normaly you wont be in your rooms anyway at that time when you visit Dublin right? ;) If you are visiting Dublin for a cultural Trip and Sightseeing with skipping the nightlife you should get a hotel further away from the City centre and the temple bar ditsrict anyway. But if you love the nightlife (which is awesome in Dublin) you make everything right with the abbey hotel.

Great location. Fair price for the area. Rooms/beds were nice and comfy but shower had very little pressure. Overall a good basic hotel.

Me and 2 other friends shared a room at this hotel for a few days while visiting Dublin. First of all, the location was simply perfect. Places like Temple bar, Trinity College, the shopping area, and so on were all within walking distance. The room itself had all the basic things we needed, nothing more, nothing less. Staff was friendly and we had a good stay. Perfect base camp for visiting Dublin.
