A comfortable and luxurious hotel at about a 30-minute walk from the Temple bar centre. A large hotel, suitable for business conventions and meetings. I arrived to see a well staffed front desk and very helpful staff. My room was spacious, well furnished and clean. TV was in working order and I really love the seats. Bed was clean and made. The bathroom is spacious enough, with a John, bathtub and shower with plenty of settings. Mirrors and your average offering of soaps. Some mold on the ceilings and and on the rims. Breakfast is not included but when taken, extensive. Both (almost) full English and continental are availible. The attached bar serves the only required beer, Guinness. Other options are available, but why bother.

We were at this hotel from 27/7 to 2/8 located about a 15-minute walk from Dublin city centre and very comfortable to the bus stops to the airport (stop in front of the hotel) and to Dublin city centre (taking the 4th or 7th stops always in front of the hotel).
In addition to the amenities mentioned the room where we stayed was very spacious clean and equipped with all the comforts. Breakfast is plentiful and varied both sweet and salty even for vegetarians and coeliacs. But it is the staff, the real flagship of the hotel with some members of the Italian speaking staff and in particular to emphasize the availability of IVAN, Irish but very generous in concierge, Francesca in the kitchen, and the great Italian MARCO CARBONI of Rome, very professional with everyone for every need required but with an eye for Italian customers.
What more can I say? If you pass or stay in Dublin you just have to book at the ballsbridge Hotel!

We had a very comfortable and welcome stay at the Ballsbridge Hotel back in January. The rooms are quite large and have a lot of amenities available, as well as very comfortable and soft beds. The bathrooms are modest and clean. Location is good, a short 30 minute walk from the south side of Dublin City centre, and there are equally good bus links with a stop dedicated to the hotel itself. Food is available but does add additional costs. Highly recommended!

Some areas and rooms are a bit dated, but overall it is ok with excellent staff who are seem happy to help. Very clean but no air con although fans were provided. Wifi very slow in room 828 and its outlook leave a lot to be desired. Good transport links close by. Cityscape hop-on-hop-off Dublin city tour picks up outside the Hotel and is The Best deal at @€10 for the day well worth it.

Although the fittings and bathroom in our room were a little tired, we had a wonderful stay here with fabulous service. All of the staff were attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was brilliant across the restaurant, bar and coffee shop. The hotel is very well looked after and in a great location. The staff amazingly remembered from check in that one of the days we were staying was my partners birthday — they left chocolate and fruit with a birthday message in the room which was just beyond thoughtful. If we return to Dublin we would stay here again.

Here on business and rooms are a nice size and fairly well appointed but bathroom and other room hardware pretty old, no air conditioning. Service was attentive and friendly and the hotel is set up very well for conferences but food in Dubliner very basic and old fashioned in my opinion. Vegetarians will struggle.

The location But the 4 stars I did not understand.

No noise insulation on my room, could hear the street noises as well as the guest next door snoring. The breakfast was limited to English taste and very poor in selection. When checking out I wasn't even asked if my stay was good, that's how little they care.

Attended a function here and it was a pleasant experience. Friendly and helpful staff. Good simple food and prices are reasonable. Hotel is clean and, meets, most requirements. Good location for city visit. Within walking distance to many of the attractions of the city, including RDS ans Lansdowne (Aviva) stadium.

Nice entrance, good size room but no air con. Room incredibly hot making sleep difficult. Good breakfast. Very tacky charging for Wi-Fi to check in and print boarding pass. Wouldn't recommend in warm weather. Very expensive.

Grand Hotel in a chic district of Dublin, close to the Aviva Stadium and containing, like many Irish hotels, a pub, and a restaurant, the Ballsbridge hotel has taken some age, and if the rooms are satisfactory and clean, they may not be at the Height of the standing of the establishment. The bedding is a little average. The breakfast on the other hand is generous and very good quality, and the coffee is roasted on the spot. I would go back maybe if I have to stay in this neighborhood.

The room was very clean Recommended Hotel.

We pay 350 for two nights + extra 12 euros for the parking lot per day. There are also numerous shortcomings.
— Windows in rooms can not be open only tilt, i. E. We could not sleep cleverly because it was too hot. However, we were given two fans. Super! :/— The roof view was just awful. It really looked totally associative and decayed out.
— A blanket was covered with an orange liquid, and when we said that we would like to have a new one, the woman just gave us a coat and we should even cover the beds.
-Cappuccino costs extra and is not included in the price or According to information from an employee, this is only at half past ten.
— Breakfast area equal to a canteen service was OK-building totally in need of renovation — no small spoons at the buffet — order coffee and get tea.

Held our University Society ball here last week and it was so good. A gorgeous set up, Lovely staff and platy of room for dancing. Thank you all so much!

After spending £450 for two nights and then being caught in the snow a few weeks back, I simply asked reception if they could accommodate us for 1 extra night if required, should our flight was cancelled/ We didn't need the additional night in the end and actually checked out earlier than required to get our flight home. Balls bridge (without confirmation from me) went ahead and booked the additional night — charging me an extra £100. After speaking with them and explaining there has been a mistake, we didn't confirm nor stay the additional night, please confirm and refund — I didn't get a call back from a manager as initially promised, so chased again, got a call back this time, a confused call back to which they said they would look into and come back to me — they haven't. Terrible customer service and confident I wont be refunded — so be careful on that front. In terms of the hotel — dated and a fair walk into the city center. Food wasn't great, however some friendly and helpful staff and a good bar area.

Very old, although in general it has a good state considering the years it must have.
Large rooms with large bathroom. The radiator is too small for such a large room, so the temperature is not uniform throughout the room.
Our room was attached to the one next to it through a double door on the wall, so that heard perfectly everything that was going on in the adjoining room… you lose your privacy…

A fantastic location and a great hotel. There are so many facilities including a barber and a fantastic bar/restaurant. The team there were really accommodating to my needs. Would recommend highly if travelling for business or even if visiting Dublin for a few days.

Must be refurbished once again. But clean, good beds and very good service. Distance to Dublin city centre so that you can walk in 15 min.

Very nice hotel. Good overall performance. Comfortable bed, good water pressure in the showers. Room service didn't answer phone. Breakfast was extensive and very nicely presented. Lots of good selections. Evening meals were the minor short fall. Poor staff dimeener and the ambiance was atrocious. Over all a really nice stay and will return on my next work trip. :)

Very nice hotel, we are currently there for a week, staff of the establishment very welcoming only small thing people do not speak French. 2 Restaurants 1 small bar to take coffee, cappuccino etc 1 very lively pub The room is made every day which is nice!

Very nice pub in this hotel. I have only ever been here on days when Ireland are playing in the Aviva nearby. It is always busy on those days but always a very good atmosphere.

The hotel was elegant, and the rooms were very comfortable. The hotel restaurant had delicious food, and just outside the lobby was a lounge to sit and have a drink, while enjoying live piano music. The free internet, however, was below standards compared to other hotels. If you are traveling on a business trip, it might be difficult to do some work online. Otherwise, it was a very pleasant experience.

Lovely hotel with excellent size rooms. Friendly and professional staff. Stayed during a rugby international so was full but nothing was too much trouble and service was fast and efficient. Lovely food and great selection of drinks. Would definateley stay there again.

There are a number of disparaging comments on the internet. However, having stayed 6 nights, in general I found this hotel to be clean, good staff, good decor and the room service was exceptional, always on time and food served on hot plates. Being set back from the main road, so quiet. Improvements can be made as follows: safe in room: international language TV channels. Trouser press: and not to charge residents who stay for more than 3 nights for parking. My score out of 10 is 7

Central but a little impersonal. A not too small camber not so recent either. In short it goes for the price in Dublin!

As far as hotels go, it was okay, but not the 4* experience, I have stayed in various 4, 5 and 7 star hotels and this was definitely not a 4* experience, the breakfast did not have many non pork options, the toiletries in the room were not adequate, no bathrobe or sandals, the phone in the room did not work. The room also did not have a thermostat so if you are feeling hot, open the window and if you are cold… Good luck to you! In terms of location there are many offices around and you cab get a rather expensive taxi, it is not near the city centre so suitable for you if you are a Google employee as this hotel is very close to the Google campus. The staff were okay but not many of them around. In my opinion this is more of a 3* business hotel, good for people travelling with work and conferences.

It's nice. But there is only one person in the whole hotel Q speak Castilian, and do not strive to try to understand you. Yes, the Spanish flag is the first wave on the roof. The food is fine. And the bed is very good too. It has No Spanish speaking channels on TV in the room. And the pub inside the hotel is very nice, they are very friendly the waiters and the prices are similar to the downtown bars.

It was a very nice Hotel. The rooms and bathrooms could be usefully renovated. I didn't have any heating in my room overnight (in January). The price is the measure of the comfort level (€84/night with breakfast).

Good wholesome hotel. Front of house impressive. Rooms slightly jaded but clean & comfortable. Pity being tumbled for apartments in such handy location for rugby, horse show, concerts etc. New build hotel up the road planned I believe. Carlton group again so good quality.

The reception was average, the triple room was a little small for n 4 stars but above all, the breakfast buffet offered in its deli only pork, a pity.

Great place comfortable beds and very close to the Council centre for those looking for a location for a few days. Friendly staff.

Easy to get a little out of the centre but 20 minutes to the classic shopping streets. A special thanks to Marco for having quickly solved the mix created at check in. Spacious rooms very comfortable and warm ideal to recuperate from the Irish cold.

A little far from the center. The Wi-Fi in one part of the hotel never works and we had to change rooms because the shower was broken. Otherwise good. Lovely staff.

A large hotel, super cozy, clean and quite spacious. You can call to order your meal and take it upstairs, (dishes of 11 euros up). Downstairs has a lounge, restaurant and a conference room.

Decent hotel. Clean and functional. While the look and feel seems dated but the team did a good job keeping it clean and well. The room size is big and the bed is very comfortable and definitely clean. Food at the restaurant (dinner and breakfast) is ok. Not fantastic but good enough if you are too tired to go out. There is a bar that you can have a few drinks. One of the few hotels that have vending machines for you to get snacks and drinks at anytime of the day. Overall, a decent stay but it’s a slight distance from downtown.

They don't have any Spanish-speaking employees in a 4-star hotel. It's inconceivable! Here in a simple pension speak English, or at least try to understand the tourists, everybody.

Lovely hotel, room was a little dated. Breakfast was great with a good range of food on offer. Staff there were very nice especially Elaine on reception.

The room given to us wasn't what we expected from the pictures online which was a disappointment. Walls were grubby and scratches were on the bathroom tiles. Also there was a lack of a safe in the room, they do have a safe at reception but its not ideal tbh. The lobby was nice. They have a pianist that adds to the atmosphere. Location is close to the Aviva stadium and not far from a train station for getting into town. Would be handy if going to a concert/event.

Large room bright, kind but unique flaws, to be a hotel of this upstanding you should not speak only English.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Fabulous hotel. Room was very spacious and clean. Staff were fantastic and extremely helpful and friendly. Food was wonderful. Highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel. Very warm rooms even with the heater off! We came in a few days early for a bus tour and we stll got early wake up calls even before starting the tour. Also there were 3 in our room, but housekeeping only ever gave us two sets of towels. Aside from these small annoyances I would still highly recommend this hotel.

A nice hotel in the modern area of Dublin, very nice neighborhood with several amenities. To the center of arrives in the group 4 or 7 is quite fast.

Loved it. Food was lovely. Music was great at residents bar. Beds were comfortable and rooms where clean along with bathrooms. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay there again and the price was great and very low at the time I booked it which made it all the more better lol.

Nice bar. Check in was smooth and efficient. Meeting rooms were very nice and staff really friendly and professional. Although the bedroom was very spacious. It was musty and smelled a little damp.

Bad service and incompetent.

We absolutely loved the hotel! I especially loved the church chimes that could be heard faintly throughout the night. Seriously, it was so charming and soothing! Our first night in Dublin and I loved it! I will definitely stay at Ballsbridge again when I return to Ireland! We also enjoyed the pub and restaurant! Very friendly staff and great food! Also, 2 long blocks from the hotel are conveniently located shops for food, adapters, etc.

Spacious, it has a pub, a restaurant and a buisness area. The hotel though, is old and does not advance housekeeping.

Hotel Central is a spacious room with very comfortable beds. Staff courteous. Price is reasonable. Recommend value.

Convenient location, served by public transport. Decent room but TV despite repeated complaints and interventions never worked. Little cute fake fire alarm that made everyone escape in the street.

Under the bed it was very dirty, Wi-Fi and a drinks vending machine worked.

Double bed for 2 adult persons much too small. The cost of Parking.

Free parking for guests was amazing perk! We thought we were going to have to pay and were pretty jaded about the idea but parking ended up being free for us. Location is just down the road from some amazing food choices. We had a 3 person room and initially thought they forgot the third person's towels but in reality they were in the closet. We pre-bought breakfast but honestly, it isn't that good. Everything lacks flavor. That is the only real downfall. If you don't need to add breakfast for some reason, go somewhere else to eat your breakfast. Other than that, the only flaw to the room was a broken door stop. Everything else was great.

We had a group of 9, we loved the bedrooms, very large and clean. The staff was really helpful & friendly. Nice breakfast and lounge had great chicken wings and a pretty good steak sandwich also. We would definitely stay there again!

There are better Hotels in the price range.

I may not have a room whose window is a chain. Otherwise, 3 stars are fair. Something into the years come to the house.

Lack of charm but offers the expected services and a comfortable space. The exterior of the hotel is any. The rooms are clean, well-appointed, but without special charm, and the paint is aging a bit. The breakfast is rich, offers a wide selection, but lack a bit of flavour. The entrance is spacious, comfortable, easy access, the situation in the Ballsbridge district is good. In this hotel, there is everything you need, including the place, at a reasonable price.

The hotel is located in an area where embassies are located so logically it is upmarket. It is a 20 minutes walk from Grafton Street, the Main Street where you can find stores of clothing and some well known eateries. Another 5 minutes of walk will take you to Trinity College, a leading college in Ireland, that can boast of greats like Jonathan Swift. The hotel itself is good with an impressive reception. You are greeted by helpful staff who in all probability be able to assist you to your satisfaction. The rooms are quiet with wide windows that allow light to stream in. There is no air conditioning and the heating can't be turned on from the room itself. One wonders why not. Penny wise pound foolish? If one had to nitpick, I would have preferred brighter lights especially in the washroom since it assists in shaving. But that is a personal preference. Unfortunately, the finish of the washroom is not at par with the rest of the infrastructure. Still it's a good hotel with a bar to boot!

The strategic position. Near the center, well connected by public transport and from the airport. Very close to the Aviva Stadium. Staff professional, helpful and friendly. In two days they transformed the hotel: third time rugby, holy Communion and the congress, and always with a smile on his lips. All good. The rooms should be a bit refurbished. Good food in both restaurant pub.

Nice and friendly hotel. A little retro but good restoration. 15 MN from the city centre.

The room was nice, however I found the service not particularly good. Also, you had to pay for the parking space over night €12, which I find a bit outrageous, since you have already paid a high price for the ROOM. I didn't feel very comfortable.

Expensive breakfast from 7:00 only nespresso machine in room not great if you don't drink coffee.

Spent 15 days there due to a business trip. The quality was good, although the breakfast is a bit overpriced for what you get. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Clean and tidy hotel in a good location for sports fans. Alas they will make you pay for most things, including teabags in your room.
