Just wanted to say thank you for the hospitality this weekend, a weekend in Dublin and you made it lovely. The breakfast was amazing and a nice selection. The bar and the live band on the saturday was amazing! The bar staff were fabulous and really attentive, have to shout about to Jack as he really did look after us that night! The only thing I’d have to say is the room was a bit cold in the evenings even with the radiator on. But that was all that was wrong. But the extra blanket helped out! The buses to and from the town were always on time and 3euros each way. Bus 13 everytime. Will definitely be coming back Thank you again.

We had a lovely Spa weekend, room very clean and comfortable. Excellent staff, very helpful and we enjoyed a dance. The live music was great.

Just stayed for two nights room was small but spotless, staff were very friendly, food was delicious in the restaurant, 3 mins from luas stop very handy.

My daughter and I recently stayed at Sheldon Park. We loved it. Excellent service, very friendly and helpful staff. Having the restaurant and bar in the hotel was a bonus. The food was amazing and the service just wonderful! Our room was very clean and loved the old world charm. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you so much for making our first time to Dublin full of wonderful memories.

Really enjoyed our time at the Sheldon Park Hotel, I would certainly stay here again. The staff, amenities and food are fantastic! The room is well equipped and comfortable. Only real criticism I would have is that that there was some repair work that needed to be done in our room as some plug sockets which were broken and the lock on the bathroom door was missing. But apart from that, it was wonderful!

Beautiful hotel decor, room very clean, nice and friendly Staff. Good food and very comfortable bed.

Hefty charges of 10 euros for continental breakfast or 15euro for full Irish 12 euros if you paid upfront when you check in. Food not great. Had really soggy chips and soggy batter fish. Pizza and chocolate brownies nice though. 2.80 for really small bottles of coke and diet coke. Beds were comfy and staff friendly.

Breakfast is the best I've ever had, large full Irish and continental too, but with boiled bacon and chicken breast slices, I'd move in! Staff really helpful and informative. … Lovely, definitely coming back. (good veggie choices too and milk substitutes readily available)

Lovely clean and friendly hotel, bar and restaurant very welcoming and great service with good entertainment on the evenings we were there, would definitely stay here again, lovely breakfast, the bagel breakfast was delicious I would highly recommend it, thanks to everyone for making our stay on April 12-14 2019 a good one.

So very disappointed. We booked this hotel because it had a pool. Discovered upon arrival that kids aren't allowed in the pool after 5.30pm. More ridiculous is that they insistented my toddler must wear a swim hat! Clearly not a child friendly place! Also, they do not provide secure lockers-you have to bring your own pad lock to the pool! Ridiculous, especially as there is no safe provided in the actual rooms! Won't ever be staying here again!

Liked the hotel. V helpful receptionist. Dinner was good in the bar. Breakfast was OK. Room was v warm, radiator too hot to touch and cudnt turn it down. Spacious room. Slept very well.

Love the food here. The person serving the carvery (chef? ) was sound (helpful). Bar man, again sound (helpful and polite).

7 family rooms, many double rooms. Musical evening regularly, preventing my half of the hotel from sleeping (its very very loud). Bad insulation, little lunch bof, no hot chocolate. Pool in a separate building (go through the outside). In short, not top. The situation is correct.

Only had a sort period at this hotel which is probably our loss and your gain. It is what you would expect from a Best Western, but with the added welcoming and friendliness of the lovely staff. We dined every night and the meals were superb. Obviously was out of the city, but transport links was excellent.

The room is comfortable and nice. It's a lovely place, the pool is great with jacuzzi and sauna and the staff are really nice. Would definitely recommend and I'd definitely come again. Right near a tram stop and very easy to get to from the airport on public transport, so easy to find and great value, I'm loving it! So relaxing! looking forward to my beauty treatments this morning!

Lovely four star hotel, rooms are clean and spacious. Comfy bed and lovely size bathroom. Breakfast was first class, continental breakfast and a full Irish breakfast was on offer. There is also a leisure centre next door to the hotel. Only complaint was the receptionist was luke warm, and breakfast room was very dark. Apart from that I throughly recommend this hotel.

Family celebration. Thank you to your staff for looking after us for our celebration lunch on Saturday the 5th may 2018 the table was laid out lovely and the staff who looked after us were so nice especially Zoe who made sure the children were seated together. We have used your hotel before for a family lunch and found it very satisfactory … Rose and John Flynn.

Attempt to make classical what is not. For the rest Good hotel.

At first glance rather high-end hotel with a consequent staff, in a very classic style wood/carpet/tapestry.
But some details come to break this standing: — In a family room, the switches to the Beds Act on the general lighting, OK, for a bed on its lighting, OK, but also on the lighting of another bed, why not. On the other hand, for one of the beds, the switches only act on the lights of the other bed, the lamps had to be turned off directly. It's not awkward, but it shows bad finish.
— We dine at the restaurant, very good meat on stone, forget to sign the note: The waiter calls our room when we are already lying down to tell us that we can sign it the next day. Why call?!
— The hotel is far from the city centre in a developing area, it's ugly. Fortunately, the tram takes you downtown. An appreciable commercial gesture would be the taking over of the tickets by the hotel, it's not too expensive and would be a surprising little gift.

Excellent solution, for a relationship between quality and price, to stay in anticipation of a visit to the city of Dublin. The fast tram that takes you downtown in 20 minutes is 5 minutes from the hotel.
Clean and warm rooms. We did not try the breakfast because deemed dear: 12 Euros per head for the full English breakfast, but all in all in the rooms in the center is not spent less.

The room of 4 people was spacious and very clean. The staff was very friendly.

Great hotel with a good attached bar/restaurant and a nice breakfast (separate room). The rooms are nice, well-kept and spacious. Good location, situated not far from a tram stop to take you into the city centre. The included pool (must wear swim caps, so bring yours if you don't want to pay for one), sauna and gym are also great!

Hotel was close to the tram line 5 mins walk and took 30 mins to city centre. The room was clean. The floor was sloped up towards the window. The room was very hot even with the heater turned off. The bed was comfortable. However, the walls are very thin we could hear the couple next door making out as the headboard hit against the wall. We were kept awake from the live music in the bar all 3 nights. We were also woken by people shouting in the corridor on the Friday and Saturday nights. Rooms need more sound insulation. We opted not yo gave breakfast given the high price, could get it for cheaper in city centre.

The hotel doesn't appear to be a 4 star hotel and it definitely doesn't look exactly like the pictures. My bathroom door was broken and did not lock. The shower had a half glass permanent piece of glass to prevent water splashing out but the annoying part was the rod that went across the middle. I hit my head twice because it's so low. The water pressure on the shower head was depressing. The leisure club portion of the hotel which contains the pool, hot tub, sauna, and steam room if not in the same building. You have to walk out of the hotel, walk across the parking lot into an adjacent building. You check in there and they give you a towel. Also, if you plane to swim, make sure you have a shower cap (male, female, and children). Everyone must wear a cap to swim. I didn't have one so I just stuck to the hot tub. Take your own lock for the locker as well.

Great pool area open until 5pm for kids and 8.30pm for adults! Good food in the restaurant. Beds were a bit old and uncomfortable!

Too bad the hotel is little isolated. It was very cold.
And the cold showers didn't warm us up!

Good clean hotel with nice bar. The breakfast can be saved and instead taken in the city. The train station is about 5 minutes away, from where you can reach the centre in about 20 minutes. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

Stayed here twice on a recent visit to Dublin PRO'S Close to Luas Stop Clean Great Food They brought fresh towels, EVERY. Single. DAY CON'S The view was horrible The rooms were cold (unfortunately we were there during a horrific snow storm) The beds were only moderately comfortable The first room we had with 2 twins was so tiny. All in all it was a good stay, I only had minimal interaction with staff, the first person I spoke with was moderately rude and curt, however on our second visit a few days later the front desk staff were very pleasant so that may be hit or miss. Normally the heating would be adequate, but for us with the snow, it was not. The beds were very springy. The bathrooms had tubs and showers and we're clean, well maintained and comfortable. I attached a picture of the view.

Disgusting disgusting disgusting. So we arrived yesterday in a snow blizzard from County Tyrone, our boat was cancelled so booked to stay here as looked nice online. The carpark was so thick with snow, having two men and a lady working there watching me trying to get my car out of the entrance part, a man in a van was also in front spinning and was stuck! We finally got moving and parked with help from other guests, then some cheeky staff male staff member said oh u can’t park there as it is reserved for the manager… I went are u joking, u just watched us for an hour struggling in the snow in ur carpark that wasn’t even attempted to make safe! Left my car there regardless. Reception lady couldn’t even crack a smile, then our room, barely room to stand, the bathroom stink so bad of musk and damp. Then we had same problem this morning, a reception member stood at the door smoking whilst watching me struggling to get out of the car park again! Do not stay! Didn’t even try the food as I didn’t want to spend any time with the staff rudeness.

Clean Hotel, friendly staff, good food and wide choice for breakfast: From the typical continental breakfast buffet, to that particular Irish, French and English style.

Stayed here for the Wales Ireland weekend. Lovely hotel. Staff very friendly especially the staff at breakfast. Fantastic selection of food at breakfast. Good choice of drinks in the bar. Room was small. Kept hitting my head on the ceiling (room 244). Temperature of the room was cosy when the radiators were on but freezer when they weren't. We just used the extra blankets that were in the rooms when we were cold. Hotel is a 2 min walk to the tram stop. Then 10 mins into the centre of Dublin. We paid 3 euros each to go in and always had a taxi back which was between 15 to 20 euros. Would definitely stay here and would highly recommend. For the price brilliant.

Good gym although needs some improvements. Good sized swimming pool and gym apparel but changing rooms could use some refurbishing. The gym instructors are really really good and very passionate about your exercise and well-being. Morning classes are always full of energy and great fun.

Went to the beauty salon for massage and facial. Staff are lovely and place is lovely and clean. Treatments were wonderful bit hard to fully relax though with people shouting coming in and out of the gym and going up and down the stairs. If it was quieter I'd have given 5

The hotel is very well located, airport/freeway/city is not far away, nevertheless it is quietly located, the rooms are sufficiently large even if a bit ' frumpy ' that makes the flair out, there is a pool/sauna/steam room/fitness area in the next building the is located on the property.

Hotel was ok. Our small room had a sloping ceiling which meant to get to the bathroom you had to manoeuvre yourself so you don't hit your head which I did. The first night very late when we were sleeping a very drunk man was hammering on our door to let him in as he thought it was his room. When he found his room next door we then could hear him being sick (nice) walls are very thin you can hear everything. Bar downstairs serves nice food, good drinks and has entertainment. Probably would not stay here again though.

Awful food (refused to eat or pay for it). Asked for fish pie with Parmesan mash. I got salmon in a milky sauce in a giant Yorkshire pudding!?! with plain mash. It was on menu for €15! half our room was so small you couldn’t stand up in it so me and my partner hit our heads on more than one occasion. No hot water in the shower! Lift broken, sauna broken. Paid 50 euros for full body massage and mini Indian head massage, was in treatment for less than 40 mins. Couldn’t use pool withough swimming cap which I would have had to pay for. Ate all my meals in the Mac Donald’s down road which had a security guard on as hotel is situated in a very rough area. Kids outside shops swearing and harassing people! Absolutely awful!

Stopped to have breakfast while car was being valeted at the GO station opposite the hotel. Had to pay first before being served as I was not a guest at the hotel. Full Irish breakfast was good. Staff did go out of her way to make sure my daughter enjoyed her food.

Interesting old style hotel located south of Dublin City center, App 35 to Dublin Airport. Staff very friendly, didn't eat here so can't comment, the bed rooms are big and airy but dated. Reception furniture is dated and feels tacky so needs properly steam cleaned. Mens toilets very dated and could do with refurbishment. Good atmosphere in Hotel and great atmosphere in Bar so good for entertainment.

What a great hotel this place is! We stayed here for one night before we sailed back to Liverpool. The room was superb had all we needed. The adjoining bar served lovely food we had bangers and mash which was to die for. Then later that Friday evening a live band came on which were really good playing lots of Irish music. We will definitely be staying here every time we come to Dublin well recommended.

NEVER STAY HERE! It is a winter now. The room is cold, no heating in the bathroom, the bathroom is also very smelly, rude front desk lady! Asked to change the room. The answer was "No"! I have been offered an air freshener instead! Sleeping with the clothes on now and I do not want to think how I am going to have shower in the morning! Poor service! Hotel's stars needs reviewing! Definitely — will never come back!

This is a great hotel could bring find anything to complain about. The rooms are lovely and the bar was excellent. The bar was the size of any pub in England and served food all day. We had the bangers and mash which was to die for. The trams into Dublin centre went passed the front of the hotel and at reasonable cost took you into town in 20 minutes. Opposite the hotel was a petrol station which had an ATM and convenience store which sold hot and cold foods and drinks. We will definitely be staying here every time we come to Dublin in the future 11 out of 10!

Nice hotel with a traditional look, attentive staff and patient, despite our bad English. The renovated rooms are clean and functional, the bathroom spacious. A kettle available with sticks of coffee is well appreciated.
The hotel is conveniently located a few steps from the Luas Line to get to Dublin, find a match to the airport or the coast (Howth, Malahide…)
On the other hand, breakfast is too expensive for what is proposed and it is a pity.
Also, we were not able to enjoy the spa/pool as the hygiene is questionable. This is all the more amazing as the hotel is very clean and well kept. But the water in the Jacuzzi is salty and as the showers are broken, we understand that the guests pass from the hammam to the large bath…
Apart from these two points, great stay.

Very old Hotel Outside Dublin but close to the tram. Catering possible on site, the dishes are very see too well served.
Level of hospitality a big lack of insulation noise various and varied all night (ventilation, music, airplane…). It looks clean visibly here we don't clean up behind the door.

Hotel a little run down the walls are very thin so neighbors next C is on you no longer sleep no staff speak a little French damage nevertheless the staff friendly and helpful the breakfast very copious and great choices in a beautiful room next to the center D e Dublin by tram count 7 euros per Oersonne.

Nice hotel and good price. The pub is very stylish and not Expensive. The food was also good. Also "spontaneous" was a room free. Even though the rooms have no luxury furnishings, everything was there for the Price.

We stayed two nights great room clean staff kind and friendliest connected well to get to downtown. We'il be back. Thank you.

Fairly standard hotel. The room was small and there was no view to speak of, but it's within walking distance of a tram that allows easy access to the city. House keeping was thorough, beds were comfortable. No complaints.

Our stay was short but good. The hotel itself is a bit old but very well taken care of, the rooms are great, big and actually modern. Nothing spectacular but it does the job in a very nice way. It's well located, being at a 5 min walk from LUAS trams and there's plenty of free parking as well. The staff was very friendly when we had to deal with them.

Clean, well presented rooms, cleaning staff did a particularly good job making the place tidy. Breakfast was edible, but it hardly fine dining (my scrambled egg looked more like an omelette! ). Staff were lukewarm, though not impolite. Some barstaff were lovely and welcoming, others were quite snappy and curt. My main complaint however is that the walls were very, very thin. Nights offered live music (which was good) but I could hear a deep drone from my bedroom until 1am at least! It's also very easy to hear the noisy neighbours/nighttime revellers in the building. Average experience.

I use the leisure facilities at Sheldon Park Hotel on a regular basis. It is a small gym with old machinery but everything is sanitized regularly and works well. I like the clientele here and the staff are fantastic, very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The swimming pool area is relaxing and is a nice size with a good atmosphere. I love their hydrotherapy jets, steam room and sauna areas, but the jacuzzi is extremely disappointing… So much so that I have removed a star here. Every time I have visited, the water level in the jacuzzi is very low and the water itself is, 9 times out of 10! … brown! and smells horrific… It has been this way approximately a year now but I hope that whatever is going on there is fixed soon because it is a bad reflection of an otherwise solid leisure center.

The Sheldon Park Hotel is quietly located in a mixed residential and industrial area. The ambience is very nice, the staff very friendly. A majority of the rooms located to the inner courtyard, so a better view of the outward facing rooms. Directly at the Hotel there is a nice Pub with live music on the weekends. The tram stop is in the immediate vicinity. This comes directly to the center. Overall, the Hotel is highly recommended.

Hotel looks posh and not overpriced. Until you have experienced the Breakfast. Included in the room price, a shameful cheap offer. For a real Irish Breakfast has to become paid. Disappointing.

Corner room with a bathroom with a bathtub. Until here nothing strange. But: — a sink with double faucet and a double regulator, so to wash your hands with warm water you have to make the "tuca-tuca"
— bath with the same system and without onion for the shower!

Nice Hotel, rich Breakfast with great selection, the swimming pool. Something outside in the industrial area. Price for in Dublin cheap.

Visited Sheldon Park for breakfast this morning as I occassionally do ahead of meetings. Once I mentioned I was not a hotel guest, was told I had to pay for breakfast in advance as this was new policy. Was told by the floor manager this would be standard policy in most hotels (not in the ones I use! ) Had not even sat down at the table yet or reviewed the menu! €9.95 for the buffet. Walked across the road to the Gala petrol station and got a lovely coffee, banana and croissant for €4.50. Keep up the enlightened customer service Sheldon Park!

Clean quiet room and friendly staff. There's a swimming pool and fitness centre next door which is pretty nice. A large free parking lot for guests too. No problems here.

Very strong Hotel (end of may) is busy. We only got a small room in the attic, a single window was to ventilate a living space, roof window, it is difficult to when it rained. No air-conditioning, ventilation and building technology are very loud. The location is not suitable for walking, because of the dirty, noisy and lots of traffic.

Beautiful hotel. Ideal for wheelchair users, bedroom very spacious for maneuvering, as I don't need one I'm not sure about under bed space for a hoist. Bathroom also has great space. Reception and bar staff very pleasant and obliging. Food was delicious. Bus stop outside the door if heading towards Aviva Stadium and Lewis Red line less than 5 mins walk away.

Nice hotel, very friendly staff even being French they make the effort to be listening to us. Location very close to the airport and the city Center (Dublin). Large parking lot. Decent restaurant with nice bar and ambiance on weekends. Cleanliness of the rooms for our part nothing to say, if one does not want them to make the room clean towels are left at the door in a bag every day otherwise room made Nikel. I join the side a bit old-fashioned from the carpet or we have this impression if not grand hotel with 2 floors with lift and especially good Wi-Fi in all parts of the hotel it's pleasant. Computer at the reception or you can print or other his tickets back without No charge. Non Smoking Room I say well (window does not open greatly). Flat screen TV and bathroom style the Titanic old faucet (hot faucet and cold faucet not used in France from this). The bedding at the top and the big crazy bed. Conclusion Good hotel for us.

Really loved this hotel. Excellent staff, excellent facilities and nice location. It's close enough to Dublin town centre that you can team or taxi the journey but you're outside of the city centre so it's quieter and better for families. The restaurant was lovely though personally slightly overpriced — but you are in a captivating city! Would highly recommended for a relaxing Dublin visit.

Good hotel. Very nice steak at the restaurant for a very good price. Bed was very comfortable. Only minor issue is the TV default volume is very high so occasionally you can hear next rooms TV.

It comes with the tram in the city. The rooms are reasonably large and clean. Breakfast and service were OK. We have eaten regularly in the adjoining restaurant and were satisfied.

I had a mixed feeling about this hotel. Most of the staff members were very helpful and nice except for one front desk woman who deliberately said they didn't have any paper clip, while the other said yes but stopped by the woman when I needed to open my iPad mini's sim tray to put in a local data sim. Because the hotel's Internet service was on and off, very unstable all the time, a few hours later I finally had to ask my in-law to ask again for a paper clip. This time he came back with two clips given by the other young staff lady. … this woman gave me very bad impression but at the same time the rest of the staff members were so friendly… especially the porter, the restaurant waitresses and the younger front desk lady who apparently is newer than the unfriendly woman. Also, there isn't vent system and window in our hotel's bathroom, after taking a shower the shower room is full of steam…

It's a lovely hotel staff very friendly and helpful. It's a wee bit far from Dublin but very good tram service on the luas red line and the atop is just a few hundred yards away (if that) best get a day ticket that allows you return journey and it runs until 11pm. The food served I the hotel is lovely and plentiful. Yes I would stay there again and recommend it.

Great cost, friendly staff.

Poor experience. Booked two rooms with double beds but when I checked in, the front-desk apologized and can only give me the second room with two single beds. Breakfast was poor and very overpriced. Staff was nit-picky and a pain in the butt about the cost. I attempted to seek compensation, rebate or discount for my problems but front-desk staff was awful. The two women argued with me and stated that the problem was due to reservations and not their problem. They told me to go contact reservations to complain. To top it all off, when I asked for theater recommendations, front-desk said go read the pamphlets. Rude staff, who didn't care or take any responsibility.

I posted in February. Everything is o. K. Now, at the end of June is the booking by the hotel cancelled. Notice we can cancel at any time what is posted online. Supposedly would be credit card has expired, nonsense. Now I have no Hotel at this time in Dublin is also hardly still for the gewünschtren period in 6 weeks is doable. Vacation can forget.

Had a fantastic stay a bit out of town but lovley and comfortable and the staff lovley and helpful Martin Stephen the receptionist especially Elaine will be coming back soon fab time.

Good hotel reception staff very friendly, bar staff great, breakfast team excellent, enjoyed our stay. Tram was an experience nice size room enjoyed our stay.

Sorry but all I can say is bad about our stay here first requested early check in as we were flying in to ireland at 7:00am. Arrived told no rooms would be available until at least 1:00pm but would store our suitcases for us. Not stored just but aside with no sense of security. Strike 1 and 2 next upon returning at 1:00pm told no rooms available after waiting in lobby for 45 min informed room was ready this room was most likely a broom closet at one time. Bathroom was back with full bath but the room it self was so tight that I had to walk sideways to get to my side of the bad. The next morning went for breakfast with my wife it costed 40 euros total as we would be there for 2 days. Expected really nice breakfast for that price once again disappointed good breakfast cereal selection milk, juice but the cheese's and meats all seemed to have been prepared the night before and left unwrapped. Also seemed to always be 1/2 empty and yet room was never more then 1/4 full and we never saw any of the cheese's or meats replenished. I think 1 star is the most that this hotelcan be given.

Super cozy, delicious food, great service, and good road connections.

I was given a room with a window on the roof and not absurd that corresponds to the one booked. I had to ask for the change which was accepted by the management. A first night nightmare. The second room reflected as booked. Why wait for the complaints.

Very good rooms, the bed was OK, only the breakfast buffet was not so good. Should order Irish breakfast. Was a bit expensive. What isn't expensive on St Patrick's day.

HELL! Me and my boyfriend stayed here for two nights and it was depressing. I was so upset by how horrible this place was. There was no complimentary slippers and robes like we where told and everything smelt like an old folks home, not to mention it was far from central Dublin. It was dirty in our room and I almost cried when I realised it was too late to get another hotel. The word that comes to mind when I think of our stay there is GRIM.

Besides it`s location (somehow far from the city center) Best Western Sheldon Park Hotel is one of the best places I`ve seen, It has that classic Irish feeling, nice rooms, even nicer personnel clean everything and good music on the lobby.

Open Wi-Fi, all clean, all friendly, beautiful rooms and even a railway stop is towards the city centre close to. Perfect.

Good deal, only 15 minutes from the Centre by train, good time at passage of trains.
