I haven’t even checked out yet, I’m so impressed from the check in to the attentiveness of the bar staff Dougie and David just fantastic :-) nothing is to much trouble and Alan who came up to our room with the breakfast what a lovely lovely man xx you have out done yourselves what a memorable experience, this will be my absolute go to hotel 🏨 every time I’m back in Dublin and will be highly recommending x Also very polite Leisure club staff especially Jennifer who took my call 📞:-)

At a intimate family wedding. Staff couldn’t accommodate more! From milk for the babies for bed and babysitting services (thanks Daniella! ) so we got a few hours of peace. The beds are huge and comfy, spotless clean. The food and coffees are also great. Fast check in and out. All enjoyed in the group from going to old.

An absolutely beautiful hotel the staff are really friendly and willing to help in any way they can. The rooms are absolutely amazing and have everything you need to help make your stay really relaxing. The restaurants is beautiful and the food is really delicious 😋 I have to say I would definitely give the hotel 5 stars 🌟 Its both a beautiful hotel to bring the family 👪 or a romantic break away which we did on valentines I even got a rose 🌹 when we went for a meal ❤ so they do go that extra mile to make things that little extra special. Definitely a must stay.

This hotel never fails to deliver and is a fantastic local amennity.

We arrived pretty late and had to leave very early 4am, so didn’t get to see all. Staff was nice and food was nice for Irish food. Beautiful and clean. I would of loved to have looked around more. Loved the larger tub. Room was very spacious and the fires were nice as well as lobby and Library. Didn’t get a chance to see the pool. The restaurant was very well set and waiters were nice.
Only complaint was room was a bit warm so we opened our windows. Possibly, some were getting off work or taking a break. They were young and I know how I was when I was young — maybe 12am or 1am?. But, were a bit loud and racing the car in back road. So, that kept us up a bit and we had to get up at 3am. Other than that, all was really good.
Us Americans don’t have to have rooms toasty. We like to usually sleep with our thermostats down for the most part. Anyway, beautiful place and nice staff!

I brought my daughter and her friends for Afternoon Tea today for her birthday and it was so lovely. The staff could not do enough for us and were so friendly and made a fuss of the girls being there. Thanks to everyone.

We shared a wonderful afternoon tea to celebrate Mother’s Day there yesterday. The Bar Manager, Prem and our lovely waitress for the afternoon looked after us extremely well. Highly recommend — a lovely treat and very relaxing way to catch up with family.

This is a beautiful townhouse style estate. Lovely for what it is. Had a lovely lunch and a nice waiter But with all the love and respect I can muster… I know what a castle looks like… this is not a castle … But it is just fine for what it is Do not over expect because one will be underwhelmed.

What an amazing hotel in a wonderful location. I stayed here for a night with friends and had a fabulous night away. The staff were so friendly and helpful esp Chris who looked after us very well indeed. The rooms are so big and spacious and the beds were very very comfy. Some with balconies looking over the sea. It has a beautiful pool area. The bar food was excellent and good value for money. Overall we had a lovely evening here and I'm already planning another visit with my sisters.

My daughter and I stayed here overnight August/2018. When we arrived there was problem with the checking in system and we had to wait while it reloaded. The young lady at reception (Andrea) was outstanding during this inconvenience and remained pleasant, calm, and very professional. We were allocated a beautiful room and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The hotel is in a beautiful location overlooking the sea, the staff are friendly and helpful. The decor in the hotel is tasteful, opulent and clean, as is the Spa area. Finally, the breakfast was delicious and we will definitely stay here again — thank you.

The hotel was great, the breakfast had plenty of variety and the food in the restaurants was very nice. The hotel is dated in places and showing some signs of age however that just adds to the charm. The location is 25 minutes from Dublin, however Dalkey which is 15 minutes walk away has a Dart service so you can leave the car behind and enjoy a leisurely trip in on the train. The staff were very attentive and always willing to help.

Loved it! My only two complaints are very minor: bed are very firm and outlets are hard to find. I accept the outlets, due to age. The staff was friendly and inviting, the rooms nice, the view amazing. Seems expensive until compared with other hotels in Dublin, and I would much rather spend the money at Fitzpatrick than hotels with loud music and a view of the alley. Definitely recommend staying if you can.

A beautiful hotel in a quiet area but close enough to Dublin city center to see all the sites! The staff were all friendly and responsive to any request! They had any information we needed readily available and always offered money saving suggestions. Our first night in we arrived late. Francesco and Mark greeted us. They made check in easy and effortless as we were exhausted. The rooms are spacious and the beds extremely comfortable! Although we did not request it I would suggest getting the sea view rooms. Carmen was the manager in the restaraunt that served breakfast and kind and charming lady who ensured our satisfaction with everything! Check again was made effortless and simple! Would stay here again without a doubt Rick and Donna Canada.

Great location and friendly staff. We had a car but used the great train service from the town to Dublin city centre. Large rooms with everything you need. This was a hidden gem on our 28 day European vacation. We stayed four nights but could of spent a week. We will definitely return.

Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel was wonderful! It was our first stop in Ireland, and we couldn't have asked for better accommodations. The staff was wonderful, breakfast was delicious and the room was perfect.

Interesting place with a lot of charm, and great location with nearby recreational hiking, sightseeing and dining options. Excellent service staff. Not overly kid-friendly, but enjoyable.

Beautiful location, especially with sea view from your room. Rooms are dated, smelled musty, carpet needs to be cleaned. Staff very helpful and attentive. Well worth the extra $ to include breakfast. Food was great. Food in bar was good too, although service was slow. Highly recommend the nearby hike. Walking distance to train station. Uber is non existent in Dublin. Taxi's only.

Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… Our room was lovely, the pool would have been great to swim in but there was a bank holiday and it was closed. It was within walking distance to turn and amazing cliff views. The Dungeon pub was great.

Excellent hotel, I'd recommend it to anyone. Wonderful staff, incredible rooms and great restaurants on the premises that never leave you unsatisfied. It's also only a short walk to Dalkey, and the DART station, so it's also convenient for those on foot.

The staff was very friendly. Rooms were amazing good view, comfy bed, nice bathroom. Had food at many hours of the day for convince and the dungeon bar was awesome, great staff there.

So this was by far the only disappointment on an otherwise magical trip to Ireland. The room was literally 10x8, and 2 people couldn’t fit in the bathroom at once, and the bed was a full (for 2 adults) top it off with a view of the roof and it was truly the ugliest room ever. The elevator sounded like it was on its last legs (we actually took the stairs because we were worried by the sounds) and we were on the 5th floor! The lobby floor was springy in areas (like we were walking over carpeted plywood) and the outdoor patio area off the Dungeon Bar consisted of some cheap plastic chairs and tables. I would not recommend this hotel.

Location is excellent for exploring area, amenities are great for Ireland. The maintenance could be improved (shower leaked all over floor, light bulbs out in room, etc. ). The majority of the service was outstanding with one exception — receptionist was terrible! It was the male working Tues night. He was rude, did not provide any useful info upon check-in, acted like we were bothering him, and we tried calling for room service over 10 times and he never answered the phone. I do not judge the hotel by this one employee as my overall experience was good and I would recommend the place. The morning receptionist (two women) were great and seemed well trained.

The service was terrible however they are young and trying. I asked what kind of pastry the Apple Tart was made with… tumbleweed! They hadn't a clue. I've only been here for weddings in recent years and the food was also inedible. Such a shame.

We have been here since Wednesday and are loving every minute of it! Staff can't do enough for you and the food is exceptional! Our room is perfect and the pool is great craic! Going home tomorrow

This place is awesome. The staff here are kind and the room is perfect. Everything is up to date with a nice coffee machine and TV. The beds are super comfortable with a nice shower and bathroom in general. The restaurant was a bit slow but that seem like an anomaly. It such a fun place to stay and definitely recommend.

It was a very old hotel. No need to take a room with sea view… you have to have access to the balcony by extending the neck to finally see the sea on the right. When it's 0 ° It's the Bronco assured pneumonia!
The rooms would need some refreshment. And equipment adapted to our time. (Slippers, bath outlets, iron etc etc. ) Nice breakfast But it would be wise to put small spoons, the tablespoons are not really suitable for "very" small cups for lunch.

Great place to rest for the weekend. Very well built and insulated from noise; very hot Jacuzzi, sauna and steam rooms. Excellent food and service as a whole. Bus service to airport and very close to city centre.

There is not 1 bad thing I can say about this hotel. It was one of the coolest places we have ever stayed in and we were so bummed that we only stayed for 1 night. The room is so comfortable and the view we had was breathtaking. The restaurant, delicious, library bar was so fun, we closed it down that night. Everything was lovely while we were here. HIGHLY recommend.

We go here with my granny for Christmas every year. The food is always excellent. On Christmas Day the Christmas dinner is spectacular! The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The owner of the hotel is around every year to welcome people. The atmosphere around Christmas is very good. The rooms are comfortable and seem to be undergoing upgrades, getting nicer each year.

Pretty good for a three star hotel. They don’t seem to be set up well for children. The pool closes for children very early most nights. Not the cleanest place ok.

Not quite a castle, more a manor but the staff are courteous, food was very good. I loved their seafood chowder starters. Views were excellent from the top room. Maybe needs a little updating but elegant nonetheless. If you are a tourist, you'd have a long walking distance to the next everything.

Stayed at the hotel's timeshare apartments for a week. The staff were wonderful, very helpful and courteous. The food at The Grill was very good and the prices quite reasonable.

We stayed in the Royal Suite at the Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel and really enjoyed ourselves. The service was incredibly friendly and the food was delicious. Location is beautiful, especially if you're on the top floor viewing the city. Bed was very comfy and there's a great tub for having a soak. 10 minute walk to the train to Dublin, so this is an ideal spot to stay if you want to relax and not be in the hustle and bustle of Dublin. The pool, hot tub and spa are very much a nice feature as well, just be sure to bring a swimming cap (men and women both) if you fancy a swim in the pool, or you can buy one on site.

Took my parents for a meal in the Dungeon. The food was beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. My Dad, who has coeliac disease, was particularly pleased with the gluten free options (especially the chocolate fudge cake! ). The serving staff were pleasant and friendly. The price was very good too, with a three course meal for three coming in at under €100.

We got married here on the 7th Sept 2017. What can I say. From start to finish the whole day was amazing. The staff were so friendly and very attentive the whole day and night. The food was amazing, the rooms were amazing, everything was just perfect! I would highly recommend this hotel for a wedding. A big thanks to Jill our wedding coordinator she was brilliant and very helpful. Dear Castle. We were on the road for two and got a 4 bed room, spacious, clean bedding, big smart TV. Indoor pool available. Very Nice.

Went with a party of ten for afternoon tea about four months ago, our table was a bit dark but there was plenty variety of small cut sandwiched and cakes. Lots of teactoo. It was a pleasant family reunion, not lasting too long and I believe most of us left feeling reasonably satisfied. It was a quick rather than a leisurely experience which, I believe we had to book for in advance, Service Was patchy. Good free parking reigns outside the door,

Food was very good, but the place was built without a thought. So many half levels. A rewiring job could be done so switches did not read 'do not touch, emergency lights'.

Fitzpatrick Castle is not an actual castle. It is an old Manor that has been expanded over the years. It is elegant but it does seem a bit worn. The staff were all quite professional and very friendly. The food was good but expensive (like most hotels). The rooms were large and we had a nice view of the harbor. The Wi-Fi worked quite well and the water pressure in the shower was amazing. The town is within walking distance and has plenty of food choices. From town you can also get the Dart train that will take you into Dublin and many other stops as well.

Totally disappointed with the tired decor. Carpet in my room was filthy and the plaster falling off behind the bathroom door was just plan wrong. I would not stay here again and as for paying for an upgrade for my room that had a view it was totally disappointing. The food in the grill was average and having pain extra for lobster found myself wishing I'd Sven my money and stayed at a B&B or a hostel. No stars from me. Though the girl in the beauty salon was very very nice the cost for a massage and facial was very overpriced. The place looked like it was still in the 70s will not be recommending any of my friends from Australia staying here. One thing was our waiter at dinner was lovely and the staff were friendly but the facility is tired to say the least.

It was a nice hotel, but it was NOT as advertised. Nothing about it looks like a castle. Also, it looks absolutely nothing like the pictures. It's basically just a normal hotel, nothing grand or fancy or remotely castle-like. It's a perfectly okay hotel, just don't expect a castle.

The facility and room were very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. Very good food at the restaurant. There reason for the 4 is that the Wi-Fi was very spotty and dropped the connection, then you could not reconnect because it thought you were already connected. I would recommend this place if you're looking for more of a hotel experience in a castle feeling building.

We were assigned this hotel stay by a travel agency and I was really excited after checking out the website. Although the exterior really didn't have the cliche Castle feel I expected, I had high hopes. The staff was really nice, but the rooms were outdated and it smelled old. We even ate at the restaurant after seeing amazing things about it online, but it was really bland food. It looked amazing, but didn't have much flavor. For the price, I wish we would've just gotten a bed and breakfast instead.

June 2016 — business trip with Irish clients. What used to be a very welcoming place has been neglected in fabric and needs a good refurbishment. The lack of air conditioning in the bed rooms is obvious, as the rooms are stuffy at all times. The bedroom decor is outdated and feels 'past it'. Unfortunately the preponderance of non-Irish staff is reducing the helpful feeling that you normally get in Ireland. The food and service are generally good (with the exception of some Reception staff) but having been here 5 years running on business with clients, I think this will be the last time.

Went there with a colleague this morning for a meeting. Sat in the lobby /lounge area to do some work together. We weren't approached by a staff member for an hour and a half. There seem to be plenty of staff on hand however none of them seem interested in dealing with the customers. Awful place. Will not be back.

Decent place. Breakfast is pretty good. Very nice scenery nearby if you like to walk and good restaurants down the hill in Dalkey. Very far from most places in Dublin.

Amazing place for Wedding.

This was a great hotel. The staff was friendly, and it was close to a great area in Dalkey.

Me and my Husband stayed here for our Honeymoon. It was so nice! We got a third story room with a balcony and a beautiful view of the bay and Dalkey. The staff were so very helpful and friendly with all of our questions. We arrived earlier than expected, and they were so accommodating to get our room ready earlier than they even needed too. Which we totally appreciated since we were so jet lagged! We had even purchased the wrong converter for the outlets (oops) and they let us borrow one of theirs! The hotel has a vintage feel to it, I love how everything is very ornate and the bar is such a great place to lounge and it seems that each room is different and unique. There was no air conditioning in the room, but all you need to do is open a window and you'll feel fine. The breakfast is very delicious and they have a ton of options from hot breakfast and even cereal. We did get breakfast delivered to our room one morning and it was really fun! I really enjoyed our stay and have no complaints, thank you to the wonderful Fitzpatrick staff for helping make our honeymoon spectacular.

I cannot give this hotel a high rating. Just stayed here 3 days ago and the hotel is just as others have described. The lobby looks great and the hotel staff was friendly and helpful, giving us directions to the train to Dublin city centre and suggesting place to visit. The Dungeon bar staff were also helpful and eager to serve us. The rooms are where this hotel falls short. The elevator creaks and groans on your way up to the room and the carpets and hallways are in need of some cleaning and TLC. The wall paper in our room was peeling at every seem, the beds were hard, there were cracks in the ceiling, stains in the carpet, rusty fixtures in the bathroom, mould on the sloppy caulking job around the tub, etc. We chatted with some other guests at the hotel bar and they reported the same state of disrepair in their room as well. The worst part was waking up the next day to bite marks all over my body. That's right. Bed bugs! They got me everywhere, which means there must be a few of them. Definitely not what you want on the long flight home the next day. I won't be staying here again.

One of the very best hotels in Dublin! If organising a conference check out their facilties. If travelling for a break away and coming to Dublin, there is a lovely big park beside it to go walking with spectacular views over Dublin city and Killiney Bay. When you arrive at Dublin airport the Aircoach which is a luxury coach bus will bring you straight to the hotel for about 70% less than the price of a taxi (it runs on the hour and every 30 mins during the summmer) They have a beautiful swimming pool something I personally like whenever I stay away (that few hotels have in Dublin) and also a gym with all the best equipment. Oh and a beauty salon I haven't tried yet! The hotel is on the outskirts of the city in an area that is close to the sea (Killiney, Dalkey and Dun Laoghaire). If you are lucky enough you may see Bono of U2 around the local town of Dalkey or some other 'stars' of music and the big screen that live close by. The restaurant is first class and if you want to chill out after a meal or during the day with the latest newspapers that are provided, they have a lovely big area close by reception (that has been recently renovated) to do just that. The Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Chamber regularly use the facilities of this hotel and would strongly recommend it whether you are coming to Dublin to visit the city or host an event or conference Peter Fry CEO Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Chamber of Commerce.

Don't expect to stay at a 5-star Castle, because that's not what this is. Rooms are outdated with visible stains on couch in our hotel room, 19" TV from the 90s, and patched touch ups on the wallpaper (which is peeling in other places). The receptionist, Jessica, was not too friendly upon check-in and then would not give us the Wi-Fi password over the phone once we got to our room but said we could come down to the desk and get one. And then we overheard her give it to another guest over the phone once we went back down to the front desk. So nice. We visited the Dungeon bar and restaurant and enjoyed the ambiance, but experienced the worst food we've had in our past two weeks in Ireland. The waiter wasn't surprised we weren't happy as he commented 'It's not something you'd write home about it eh? ' and chuckled and walked away. Pretty sure it's just overpriced frozen food nuked in the microwave. Sad it didn't turn out how we expected.
