Firstly I would just like to say the Bracken Court serves up one of the best Sunday dinners around town and farther. It's always delicious and I can never fault it. They give you the option of a small portion or large. However today they decided to switch the small portion plates to kids size plates, this is not about portion size, but how uncomfortable it is to eat on the small size plate, everytime you cut into food one side of the food slides of the plate & on to the table as the plate currently been offered is to small. Half of your small portion dinner ends up on the table. Other than that it's excellent.

Stayed here for 2 nights, staff very friendly and very attentive, nothing was too much for them. food was outstanding. We ate at the bar one night and the food was cooked beautifully. Bar men were very welcoming, attentive and friendly. the rooms where clean, tidy and spacious. Comfy beds. Great nights sleep. highly recommend this hotel and can't wait to return again.

Great hotel, long time customers and staff are always amazing. Especially James on reception/ bar he has always gone above and beyond, absolute credit to the hotel and gentleman to deal with.

Had a lovely stay at the weekend with my hubby. Room was perfect and breakfast was tasty with loads of variety. Had a brilliant time in the bar on Saturday night, group were brilliant plus the staff went over and above to make us feel so welcome, food in bar was top notch aswell… First class service 🙌

We really enjoyed our stay at Bracken court. Our room was comfy and spacious. We had lots of space and loved the bathroom. Breakfast was great, tasty with a good selection, the lady we spoke to was very friendly. Lovely bar and foyer to socialise in. Thankyou we will be back.

Just back from a stay with the girls — Rooms where nice and clean — food was gorgeous — staff very friendly — restaurant was spotless all chairs and tables where being sanitised after people finished — cocktails also fab — lovely stay I would go back again.

Great to be back to hotel for food. Well laid out to maintain good distance, screens around staff areas. The change to table service & automatic soap and taps in toilet shows good efforts to reduce contact with other customer's and surfaces.

It's a decent hotel, The beds are to hard and the staff I dealt with were highly rude.

Thanks to Georgina and staff last night for really looking after us all at my 40th. Food was fab. Great night had by all x.

Had a lovely stay in the Bracken Court this is my 3rd stay and I have to says it gets better each time great food lovely staff and of course a beautiful airy and spacious bed room and yes I will be back.

We absolutely loved our stay there. The people were so friendly and helpful the sites were awesome we had such a grand time I would love to visit again.

The staff of the BCH, helped me host a very successful and enjoyable retirement, on April 5th. Feedback from guests praised the beautifully cooked food and the high standard of the bar staff. A great night had by all. Thank you to all at the BCH.

Spent 3 night's there from 13th March with my neice. Cannot praise the staff and hotel enough. Loved the girls on reception. I am planning my next break there. Really missing the place. X.

Friendly staff, great rooms, and good food and bar service. It's not in Dublin, but it is a short bus/train ride away. Going to Balbriggan gave me an opportunity to explore the beautiful beaches and appreciate the charm of a slower paced Irish city. Highly recommend this place!

Sunday Dinner was absolutely Beautiful! The Roast Beef was melt in your mouth, Goodness! Top Notch and hits the spot! Friendly staff and a nice place to unwind and chillax.

Bar is nice. Area doest look great but it's central to ballbrigan.

Beautiful hotel and room and we even found a beautiful sandy beach while walking around the town with a train crossing over the bridge beside the beach. Very usual!

Y’all I absolutely can not express how wonderful this hotel and staff are! We struggled for 4 hours to get to the hotel bc we got lost. I finally got my phone to work and I received an email saying my reservation had been cancelled, I literally was in tears, I called the hotel (I’m sorry but I don’t remember the ladies name) and was crying and she probably couldn’t even understand me however she was very calming and told me that we would get his figured out, it is very stressful being lost in your home state and even more and scary in a foreign country. Apparently I had accidentally clicked the wrong date, however she got it all sorted out and we were able to check in when we finally made it there and they held our bags while we ate dinner in the restaurant downstairs which was amazing for dinner and breakfast. We quickly found out how to get back and forth from Balbriggan to Dublin on the train so we really enjoyed our stay, everyone from staff, to citizens were amazing and kind, they would see us struggling to figure something out and would help without us asking. I told my husband I want to move here. If you are in the area and don’t want to stay in the city I highly recommend the Bracken Court Hotel and it is walking distance to the beach. Thank y’all for having very high standards and friendly staff.

Absolutely love The Bracken Court Hotel, it caters for every occasion. Had my husbands surprise 40th and both Jean and Georgina helped organize it to perfection. All the staff are very friendly and help make your visit very welcoming. Great compliments from all the guests of what a fantastic night they had and staff are very accommodating for all your needs.

After touring Ireland for three weeks, enjoying good accommodation all over, we were disappointed with this hotel. It is dated and needs a lot of updating. Situated not in the best part of town. Our room was not the best I have seen. TV did not work to start. Bathroom old with one light not working. The pub was not great. The food was reasonable. One can certainly do better for less money. It will be worth it to pay a bit more for better accommodation and be closer to the city. I will not stay here again.

I wish I could review the hotel, restaurant, and Jack Doyle's Bar separately on maps. The hotel is dated and could use a lot of freshening up. Our room was spacious, but not very clean. The floor had clearly not been vacuumed. The paint was peeling off of the ceiling in the bathroom. The staff were all quite helpful and went out of their way to assist us on our first trip to Ireland. The location to the train, beach, and M1 are all great features. As another reviewer said, "Ok, but not in a rush to go back. " The restaurant was ok. Sunday brunch was tasty and the cook was lively and accommodating. He brought our food right out to us. However, Monday breakfast presented less cheerful service and the cook seemed inconvenienced by my request for a poached egg. This was the only place to get a hot, sit down breakfast in town on Monday. Jack Doyle's bar is by far the brightest spot of our entire stay. We stopped in on a Sunday night and enjoyed the live music, good food, and festive locals. The Monday afternoon crowd was calmer, to be sure, but just as welcoming and jovial. The service, both times, was impeccable, attentive, and accommodating. I'd go back to Jack Doyle's any time!

There were many issues with our room. The ceiling paint was cracked and chipping, the bathtub was cracked, the bed obviously used to be a queen and they left the old headboard. It also was very hot in the room. I understand air conditioning is not an standard thing in Ireland but the windows only opened a few centemeters and there was no way to circulate air though the room. All in all it was a very dated hotel and would not recommend. The only reason I am not giving it 1 star is because the staff was very pleasant.

Location of this hotel was decent. However we only stayed one night and used the hotel to sleep, we weren't there to lounge around. The hotel room was outdated and the bathroom was in very poor shape. The bottom of the tub was in disrepair to the point of water actually leaking onto the floor from the bottom of it. Overall, for the price you could do better. Recommend spending an extra $30 or so on a slightly nicer hotel maybe right inside Dublin.

Nice hotel with restaurant within a short 20 min drive to the Dublin airport and only 5 minute drive to a beautiful beach area at Skerries. Also close to one of the oldest pubs in Ireland, Man 'O War, which has wonderful food and ambiance.

It's a nice place with friendly courteous staff and the dinner can be nice but not consistently. The bar is good with TVs and the aesthetic of the hotel is pleasant.

Thank you Georgina the duty manager. We had our son's birthday party last Saturday night 28th april and everything was spot on. The food the room and even the staff in the bar. Tommy your a great barman and thanks for looking after us all. Fri Sat and Sun. Have to say the bracken court hotel I couldn't fault your service in any way. Thanks a million.

Nice hotel, a little dated. Very nice staff and underground parking was included. The pub has good food and great waitresses.

Very nice, pleasant hotel, the town Ballbrighan I was disappointed not much to see or do. Quite good easy excess to Dublin via bus or train for around 12 euro return. Overall I enjoyed my stay but wouldn't rush back.

Not a bad place to stay fairly close to the airport. The food was good and the staff were great. Town is small and a bit depressing.

Very friendly and helpful staff, pleasant enough room and 4-night stay. Knocked a star off as some of the fixtures in my room didn't work such as the iron, safe and chair needed glueing/repairing and if turned tap on normally the force it came out meant you got soaked. However, I acknowledge these really are minor things. Wi-fi was usable and free. Obviously, a hotel that as added on to itself over the years so some interesting architecture and routes to rooms throughout. Would happily stay again.

Great place! The staff was incredibly polite and accommodating. Everything we asked for — they provided. Both times I stayed in the hotel it was very pleasant experience. Highly recommend Bracken Court Hotel to anyone visiting Dublin (the trip to Dublin from the hotel takes 40-50 minutes) or those who are visiting Balbriggan and nearby cities.

They were hospitable, the room was excellent, sower was hot and refreshing. Lots of room in our en suite. Restaurant was also excellent.

I would give 3.5. Everything tidy. Reception nice. But few things… Hair dryer was not working. Had to go to reception to ask for another. One cup missing and girld brought cup when we were in room and me in undies preparing for shower.

Visited this afternoon with my 9 yr old triplet granddaughters. They enjoyed their hot chocolate and Christmas rocky road. The staff were so pleasant and helpful. Well done Bracken Court. We will be back.

Place was dated, looked dull and fur future was older than me by the look of it. Cracked tiles in the bathroom. Staff were nice and pleasant though and food was okay.

Overnight stay on room 403. Super room. Service from staff on restaurant, Bar and breakfast top notch. Highly recommended.

Wonderful etablishment. Friendly and kind employees, clean quiet rooms. The food was nothing special, but we were there for the comfort, not the food.

Can't speak for the restaurant or hotel rooms, but the weekend Carvery is the tastiest and best value in North Dublin. Staff are great too — especially the jolly giant Scottish chef.

Stayed here, staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and lovely and clean, the breakfast was nice. I would stay hear again but there wasn't a good choice on the menu in the restaurant or the bar food when you wanted a meal in the evening.

The rooms were very dated though very clean. Service was very accommodating and friendly… the location was very nice though would go further afield the next time.

Stayed from 12/08/17-16/08/17. Location of hotel in Balbriggan is good with train station and bus stop close by which go straight into Dublin centre. Check in was straightforward and receptionists were pleasant and informative when asked questions. Positives of room (506) : spacious in size and storage capacity (although more hangers needed), ironing facilities, bath and shower, tea/coffee available, toiletries available, good views, comfortable bed once sheets were replaced. Negatives: bed sheet was stained (and too tired to sort this on first night so simply used a towel to cover area), hairs in bathtub, carpet very worn in areas (always wear slippers). Those were the main points, others not worth mentioning. Breakfast foods were tasty. Cereals, fruit, yogurt or warm option available. Hotel was not busy so there was always enough seating. Service staff at breakfast were courteous in greeting and quick to clean tables. Overall this is one of the nicer hotels I've stayed in compared to others. Thank you to all staff who made our stay in Ireland a good experience.

Hotel situated in a great location, only minutes from the beach and train station giving a direct link to Dublin city. A decent selection of bars and restaurants in the area if the hotel one isn't enough. Go for one of the suites if the budget allows Food great, friendly staff. Highly recommended.

The city this hotel is in has seen better days, but the hotel is magnificent. It has a great breakfast and good restaurant, and is a bright spot. It is close to the harbor and the beach, where it is nice walking around, and has reasonable internet. The bed is good. Expedia has this hotel listed as 'close to the airport' which it isn't, and it has it listed as part of Dublin, which it isn't. However, there are reasonable transportation options (bus, train) so if you're not in a hurry it is a good place to stay.

On group tour. Very comfortable one night stay with good evening meal and breakfast. Would recommend to visit.

This is a upscale hotel in Ireland. Just a 25 minuet train ride to Town Center in Dublin. This hotel is ideally located with the train station within a two minute walk as well as to the beach.

Very pleasant stay here over the easter holidays. Friendly staff, good food & clean rooms not too far from Dublin either…

Handy spot, decent food, nice function rooms.

This is our 'local'. The bar is nice and quiet and the food lovely. I haven't stayed there though. One negative is when a wedding is on, the tea and coffee reception takes place in the bar and it can get very busy and boisterous not bad normally but when the rugby is on its not watchable.

Clean beautiful rooms and a wonderful staff. Conveniently located north of Dublin and near the M1. Walking distance to several businesses, restaurants, train, and bus stops.

Nice hotel in quite little town. Walk to beach and train. 30 min easy train ride right into Dublin. Friendly bar and nice restaurant. Would definitely go back.

The hotel itself is a bit aged, the furniture is still somewhere in 1990, but the ground floor pub is amazing. The beach is very close and there are some take away places around where you can get some chips from. Get the chips, go to the beach and then have some pints at the pub and you'll love this hotel after.

Attended a wedding here for a friend. Very impressed with service, facilities and food put on for the day.

Be warned that this hotel is not located properly on the map. I was hoping to stay close to the city centre and when I got to the location I rang the hotel for more concise directions and was informed that I had to go out the M1 and that I was about forty minutes away from the location. This did not suit as I had business in the city. I got charged the price of the room then for cancelling less than 24hrs from check in time. Was not impressed at all.
