Staying on a two night break. Thoroughly enjoying it. Grounds are beautiful with a lovely walk. All staff extremely friendly and helpful. Ate in the Summit Bar & Restaurant. Food delicious and once again staff are exceptional. Availed of the Hydrotherapy Suite & treatments by Belén. Very professional and Highly recommended 😊

Spent night in sleive Russell and it was fabulous, beautiful hotel and the grounds are first class had a spa first class staff were more than attentive couldn't fault this hotel would strongly recommend it.

My husband and I booked a 3 night stay and thoroughly enjoyed it. Food and service were excellent, staff were very helpful and friendly. There were lots of activities all age groups. The only issue I had was on the main golf course. We had a four ball in front of us, 2 of which were children. They’d had no idea on course etiquette. They held the whole round up. It was quite obvious they were non golfers. There is a perfectly good par 3 course on-site which perhaps would have been more suitable. Maybe this should be looked at when taking bookings. Golf was the main reason for our mini break. It took the shine off what is a great course.

Lovely hotel… lovely food and amazing staff… my only gripe… we paid for a superior deluxe room… was ground floor… with ground to floor window overlooking gardens… very beautiful… however we had NO opening window in room at all which isn't ideal … air conditioning isn't a substitute for fresh air… so a 3 day break in a room with no opening window was not ideal… maybe something that could be addressed… also never asked on checkout regarding our stay… simply thanks folks goodluck.

Had a brilliant 2 nite stay last weekend with my husband and 2 kids (8 & 6). Stayed in a family suite with bunk beds for the kids and their own TV which they loved. Always have the best time when we stay here. Pool is great and lots of choices of where to dine⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Checked in today for 3 nights. Lovely hotel but the Kells bar is very cold had to go to my room for jumper. Towels could be replaced very old and off color in both the rooms and the swimming pool.

Just back from a 1 night stay. This is our 3rd time staying here. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. It is good there is music in the bar. The bar was very busy so service was a bit slow. There is refurbishment going on. I would stay again.

Problems with two superior rooms, rundown dated furniture, broken extremely noisy air con units, tv, no toiletries in room, problems with food and service in restaurant at dinner and breakfast the list goes on… did address with duty manager overall not a 4 star hotel! And wouldn't recommend.

Checking out tomorrow. Brilliant stay. The food has been second to none. The staff are lively and friendly. The rooms are comfortable and warm. The whole hotel is soo clean. We will be back again. Loved our stay. Thank you.

Was at a wedding last Sat and stayed the night. Food was excellent and the service was fantastic. Beautiful room and took ourselves out for the walk around the golf course which I really enjoyed. Got it done between the showers. Lovely breakfast and very well organised. Flet safe. Definitely be back to goon the walk and then have a bite to eat and hubby gets his few pints. Thanks for looking after us so well.

Great golf course. Experience with hotel not so good, we had booking made (with confirmed price), then hotel realized they made an error and came back to us to increase the price they had already confirmed. They would not honor the price they provide so we took our business elsewhere.

Although the hotel itself is beautiful and they will provide a good service it's unfortunate the way they have treated some of the staff members. Therefore appearances are deceiving and I would rather spend my money at a place that treats their employees with more respect.

We have just returned from our 3 night Christmas package and I just wanted to say a big thank you to the hotel for a fantastic time. We have stayed prior to this but under difficult circumstances the hotel service was exemplary. Food as always was amazing and even though certain aspects were unable to happen we still had a brilliant experience. Well done to all involved we couldn’t have felt safer. Staff were so friendly and attentive smiling even though they knew lockdown was impending. Hoping you are all back and busy busy before too long. Many thanks.

Couldn't fault a thing. The food was absolutely amazing. We were a group of 5 and not one bad meal on both evenings.
In the restaurant over looking the golf course the woman there was so nice and friendly and also in the restaurant (where breakfast is served) the man (he had an English accent) was very helpful and had great banter with us.

A great hotel, the large family rooms are brilliant. This was our second visit and we dined in both their restaurants and the food is on par with the best I have ever had in my travels. On this occasion we had all our grandchildren too and would highly recommend as a child friendly hotel.

Fantastic Hotel. Gardener is gifted as grounds are impeccable & stunning. Rooms are fab & Spotless. Loads to do for families. Music on Fri night was top class. Food was top class. Staff very friendly & helpful. Definitely will be back. Reservations staff are very easy to deal with and very courteous. There are a lot of nooks and crannies to sit and chill out in. Decor is stunning.

We had our daughters wedding here the 20th of June and it was fabulous. From meeting with Anne to plan wedding, to the handing over to duty manager John on the day, everything was perfect. They made sure that everything ran smoothly. Thank you so much for make our big day one that everyone enjoyed and will never forget. Denise.

This hotel is in a beautiful setting with magnificent gardens, golf course, swimming pool and wellness centre. The rooms are big, beds very comfortable. We had afternoon tea in the lobby which was fantastic and dinner was superb with lovely music been played on piano while we ate. Breakfast was plentiful too. Would highly recommend this hotel.

I enjoyed the golf course and really enjoyed the walk around parkland like gardens. Food and hotel was 1st class. I had my Wife and 3 of the family with us and they all said they would love to come back, my wife was in her wheelchair we had no problem and the staff were very helpful. What a fantastic day! Best day of our lives and this hotel was the perfect setting! Amazing venue and atmosphere, food was to die for and most of all phenomenal staff! A bit dark as you enter the lobby and a bit surprised to be asked for an extra 50 Euro in the event I charged anything to my room However enjoyed the stay. Good food an surroundings inside and out. Have to edit this review (from 4 stars to 2), in light of the check out experience where I was initially overcharged in the region of 100 Euro and then on checking my credit card on return home, found a hold placed on an extra 400 plus Euro on my credit card. OK so it was sorted soon enough but to be honest it has left a bad taste for me and despite the insistence of the manager that it is common practice in every hotel this is the only Hotel in Ireland where I have run into this type of an issue. Will not be revisiting — but hey you might like it.

Wonderful hotel for weddings, weekends off or golf lovers. Vast green area around the hotel with nice forest walks on the golf course. We had a family Sunday brunch with kids on the bar. Liked the seafood chowder and sandwich selection. The service was slow and kinds were a bit impatient about their ice cream.

Brilliant hotel. Views oustanding. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. This hotel cannot be praised or recommended highly enough. Will definitely be back in this little piece of heaven.

Impressive grounds and golf courses. Adventure golf is fun. Breakfast was decent. Restaurant food was good but not amazing. Rooms are good size and in good decor. Pool is suited for kids rather than for a swim. Free sauna Jacuzzi and steam rooms are good though. Gym is decent for the size. Spa is good and worth the money to use the extra features. Definitely worth the money if you get a cheaper rate weekend or stay.

I booked the Cuin Weekender deal for a Friday night for my boyfriends 30th Birthday. From we arrived until we left we had the best time. I emailed before hand and requested a nice room for the occasion. We arrived at 1.30 and our room was ready to check in and to our delight we were upgraded to a superior room with views (which were stunning) a card wishing him a happy birthday along with a bottle of wine and chocolates all complimentary. Such a nice touch! The spa treatments were top quality and luckily we had the whole hydrotherapy suite to ourselves. The service from bar staff in kells bar was brilliant. We ate in the Sentena bar and the food was fab. I had steak which was cooked perfectly and bf had venison. Everything had lots of flavour. It was a three course meal each and really stuffed after the mains so the waiter offered to take our desserts to our room 30 mins later! Room service delivered these at no extra cost. Breakfast the next morning was very good. Everything you could want and a very relaxed feel. The gardens are gorgeous definitely worth a walk around. We left the next morning feeling very well looked after and already deciding when we are coming back!

Once again, a very nice pleasent stay over a golf weekend break. Everything from the moment we arrived until we left was fantastic. Great weather added to the stay as well. Rooms, bar service & food in the clubhouse, restaurant were excellent. Miss breakfast at your peril. We will be back again at some stage.

Lovely hotel. Great facilities. Swimming pool clean with nice layout and great views over the grounds from the sun lounger area. Bed Rooms spacious, clean and well laid out with good sized bathrooms, separate double shower and bath. Request Outward facing rooms for the picture views of the grounds, otherwise you look onto an inner courtyard facing Rooms, but still fine as the courtyard is really large. Food great from both bar and restaurants. The grounds are the jewel in the crown, lovely undulating walks that takes you through manicured gardens and onto a trail around the expansive grounds and golf course. For a real treat make sure you get to The Anglers Rest in the town for the best steak in Europe, and possibly the world! Yummy!

Beautiful hotel set in large grounds. The rooms are very spacious & cleaned to a very high standard. I ate in both the bar area & the restaurant, food was very good in both & reasonably priced given the quality. All of the staff were very friendly, welcoming & helpful. Would highly recommend staying here if you are in the area.

Gorgeous hotel with beautiful grounds! There was a lovely card & present from the management & staff for my husband who was celebrating a big birthday! Super clean & tidy. Great choice of meals with the choice of restaurants. Staff were so friendly & helpful.

Very quiet location with huge golf course with Park. Typical Irish castle in very good condition. Large rooms with a lot of comfort and views.

Golfing heaven! Fantastic! Superb! Top golf course very fair with some stunning holes without doubt the best parkland course I have played. We cannot wait to come back!

Amazing amazing amazing! Loved it from start to finish. Was brought here by my boyfriend for my birthday celebrations and everything about it was perfect. The food, the drink, the staff, the spa/swimming pool, the room, the scenery — everything — top notch. Would go back no bother! And the staff were kind enough to post me back my necklace I had left behind. Defo recommend.

Spent two very enjoyable nights here recently. Very friendly and helpful staff throughout hotel. Great menu and the food served in the restaurant was superb on both evenings. The breakfasts were also of the highest standard and the bar had a wide range of drinks. Our room was spotless with very comfortable bed and bathroom with bath and spacious shower and some very nice touches including extractor in shower that prevented mirrors from steaming up. The shared areas were furnished with comfort in mind and there was also a Spa and swimming pool with Jacuzzi steam room etc. It is set in 300 acres with a great golf course and other facilities including a very pleasant 2500 metre walk, for the less energetic, through gardens and forested areas with views of golf course and lake. Our first time here but hopefully not our last as we were delighted with our stay.

I have stayed here for 3 night for work purposes. I can safely say that the policy of this hotel is elegance and good taste. From far one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The facilities are great, the food is at high standards and the service is excellent. Highly recommended.

I booked this without really looking where it was, then I thought omg, what am I going to do all weekend! Answer, plenty! The hotel is a wonderful combination of relaxation and activity. Once arrived you needn’t leave unless you want to do the whole tourist bit round the lakes. Lovely bar areas, comfy sofas, glowing fires, if you want to just sit and watch the world go by it’s perfect. For the more active the pool area is fantastic, nice gym too (didn’t do that, too strenuous). There’s a spa for those looking pampered and a pool room that the teens tended to migrate towards. Outside, even on a cold January day there a lovely walk out round the golf course plus a putting green and driving range and wee par 3 for those of us just wanting to faff about with a 9 iron. The tennis courts didn’t look to be getting s lot of use, but that’s just the time of year.
The room was lovely, nice and big, with great bathrooms and a shower that would blow to cobwebs from you. Quiet too, I hardly heard a peep all weekend unlike some hotels which are like paddy’s market at 2 in the morning.
Dining was excellent, maybe a wee bit pricey but delicious. You can do a la carte or table d’hote in either one to keep the cost down, if you unknowingly only pick table d’hote items, then that’s all you’ll be charged for. Wine was pricey too but very nice with the possible exception of the savignon Blanca in the bar which is a bit sweet.

What a lovely hotel. We had a great night with some lovely wine and good music in the bar. Unfortunately the food in the restaurant was a bit of a let down with both my starter and main courses being only slightly warm and I wouldn't be a person who needs a piping hot meal, but it was on the cold side even for me. The breakfast the following morning was all lovely though although the coffee and toast only arrived when we were finished. Overall though the surroundings were worth the trip and it was quite lively despite it being the week after new year.

Booked last minute for a family stopover and was very impressed. Room was spacious and immaculate. Kids were more than happy with the kids club (my only gripe here is that as we arrived @17.30 they were not offered any alternative to the included kids meal). Dinner in the restaurant was nice and service was good, overall a great experience and will definitely be returning.

Nice relaxing atmosphere with fantastic views and great number of things to do. One bad thing would be our is right under a generator of some kind and could hear this 24/7 It was very annoying. The staff are all very kind and a pleasure to deal with. So helpful and never once felt like I couldn't ask for something. The restaurant was excellent and food was all very good. Breakfast wasn't the best, have had much better in same star hotels accross Ireland. My husband played golf one of the days and said it was grand. It was a little boggy in areas due to bad weather previously. We went for a massage in their spa. This was a Elemis spa with all products being used and it was amazing. Again staff very pleasant. The amenities were clean and our day was very enjoyable.

Lovely overnight stay in this out of the way Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort. Hotel set in lovely grounds, room was large if a bit too warm, bar was busy on the Friday night we were there with a C&W singer providing the entertainment. Both the evening meal and breakfast were of very good quality. Will probably go again.

What an absolutely amazing location for the wedding. They made the function amazing, the rooms were all high-quality and the grounds are gorgeous. Add to that a nice spa, pool, golf course, wonderful food and nice staff… what a great few days holiday that was for me! It is a bit pricey, but somewhat to be expected for the quality level.

During our stay on the 4/6/17. We found this hotel was a beautiful place to stay, the decor and grounds were very tasteful and well maintained. The food from the Setanta restaurant was gorgeous and staff were great. Our only negative was that our room during the night was far too warm causing us to wake on a few occasions during the night. We tried to lower the temperature using the in room control panel but it had no affect. Loved the hotel, I would like to return again.

Stayed 3 nights for the recent PNA conference. Fabulous hotel! Lovely comfortable bedroom with two double beds. Shower and bathroom facilities were excellent. Enjoyed all the food we had during the few days. Every member of staff in reception, household, dining room, bar etc. Were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Great Hotel. I am only 12 years old and it is the best hotel I've ever been to. Every single staff member is so nice and will help you with anything. Breakfast and Dinner are very good with a Breakfast buffet with lovely chefs and waitresses. The setanta restaurant is very family friendly with a variety of lots of nice food. The family rooms are very nice with a very big bathroom with a shower and bath separate! Overall a very very good hotel and I can't wait until my next visit soon. Thank you Slieve Russell.

We celebrated our wedding reception in the Slieve Russell in July 2015. The hotel is beautiful and the staff are amazing. Extremely accommodating of all our needs. Highly recommended!

I hav stayed in the hotel many times and played in the PGA Irish Region Pro Ams which wer held at the slieve Russell course for many years I hav always enjoyed my stay and hav bn looked after by the hotel staff and the owner and I look fwrd to going in July with some friends from Belfast brilliant.
