We have just returned from the loveliest stay in The Talbot! From check in to check out everything was perfect! The room was fabulous and totally spotless! Food and cocktails beautiful! The staff are friendly, attentive and exceptionally professional! Brekkie was lovely! Definitely recommend staying here! 🥰

Amazing food, friendly staff and perfect atmosphere.

We had our first experience of an evening meal at The Talbot this evening! It’s was a top class experience from start to finish. The attention to detail of the staff with regards Covid compliance was 100%. The waitress was exceptional and the food was one of the best meals we ever had! The ability to transfer exactly what was on the Menu onto a plate was without equal. ⭐️ ⭐️🌟🌟🌟 A beautiful experience, looking forward to a return visit. Best steak in Mayo!

A beautiful Boutique Hotel in such a welcoming friendly town. This is my third time staying here (1st time my own hen — best weekend) and each time the comfort, service and warm hospitality gets better! fabulous food in the restaurant and great fun in the bar. I would highly recommend this hotel and will be back soon for a quiet relaxing stay in the beautiful bedrooms and I Look forward to your tasty breakfast. Stayed Sat 29/09/18:cosy, restful, delicious food. Have to single out Mary. OMG such a lady. So kind to every guest… even brought me honey n lemon for my cold at breakfast! Exceptional staff member!

Excellent. Staff is very friendly. Food & atmosphere are lovely. Sunday nite at 9pm this place was rockin' with people & a local band. Hubby had fish cakes & I had black rock crab claws which were caught locally that day. This place is a MUST & will not disappoint.

We visited the Talbot Hotel for bar food. Calling it bar food is not doing the food justice, it was better that most restaurants we have visited recently and a lovely surprise. The menu is extensive with a lots of seafood, which can be expected given the location. It took a while to decide what to have due to the choice as you would want to try them all. One of our party needs gluten free options and while most restaurants and hotels remove items from the course, the Talbot, managed to buck this trend with a lot of the dishes. This is the reason we returned for a second night knowing there was a good choice. The food was fantastic, we all had the seafood chowder starter on the first night and a main course. The chowder is one of the best I have ever had anywhere, the only problem was that it was so good that it was very filling and with a main and all the trimmings we all had problems finishing our mains. On the second night we all had a main and dessert as the selection was fantastic. The staff were great even though it was a full house and they were run off their feet. The bar was nice and spacious and even though it was full it did not feel overcrowded. Looking forward to revisiting the area again soon and the Talbot will be on our list, who knows next time we may well stay in the hotel too.

We had food in the bar on this day. Food is excellent but the service is outstanding. The waitress took total care of us in a way that didn't intrude at all.

Beautifully laid out and furnished function room. Staff were young, friendly and efficient. Food was top class. A very enjoyable experience. The hotel seemed to have had a recent make over… new carpets etc.

A truly great hotel to stay in when playing Carne the best links I’ve played and the most demanding so coming back to this opulent, well appointed place of refuge to ease the pain inflicted by Carne is welcome and much needed! Rooms are well appointed (I had a jacuzzi bath), wonderful and comfortable beds and the food in their main restaurant excellent. Friendly, engaging staff ensure your stay is a joyous one even if your golf game has been found wanting! One of the best independent hotels I’ve stayed in — well done the owners.

Stayed here for my daughter's hen party. They hosted the whole thing and I have to say this place is amazing. The decor, feel and style is stunning and the food was beautiful, hot, well presented and memorable. The staff were accommodating, helpful and funny and the whole thing was just very beautiful. There room are very clean and thoughtfully planned out for all ladies needs and there prices were very affordable considering the amount of work that they do to make sure you have a great time there… Definitely would go again and bring my family for a treat.

An ok place if you don't mind staying in a place which has one road in and out. For me, a bit too quiet and off the beaten track but on the plus side, people were very friendly and happy.

Excellent service, rooms were beautifully presented and decorated with with different colours. Very flamboyant. Topped off with a Irish breakfast in the morning, I would recommend staying here. Really close to the Broadhaven hotel too.

Friendly staff who really care for their customers. Well managed and very clean throughout. Has a lovely blend of old and new in terms of atmosphere and Decor. Very family friendly.

I'm a bit late in writing my review from the 11th of August but just wanted to say thank you so much for making our stay so wonderful. Little did I know the staff were in on a wonderful engagement surprise for me. They were unbelievable in helping Josh organise the engagement and really made it the most amazing surprise for me. Not only that but the staff made us feel so special afterwards at dinner and in the bar. I can't thank you enough for making our night so special and I can't wait to return to take it all in as I was in a bit of shock during our last stay!

Just had food. Lovely meal. Great sea food menu. Have been here on numerous ocassions always enjoyed it.

Slow mixed up orders wa ited 45 minutes got the wrong order twice.

Brilliant night on Saturday 24th June 2017 for our 50th Wedding Anniversary, the food and service was excellent. Sharon your a star, thank you for all your help and advice. Highly recommended for all occasions.

Stayed here as a treat for my birthday and loved it. I usually have trouble sleeping but the bed was amazing and I slept great. The food was fabulous I had pizza one night and Chicken Burger the second night I am quiet particular and my special requests were catered for with no problem. The place was very busy but the service and staff were great… even got a special dessert and a welcome plate for my birthday… definitely will be back.

In March had a Coyle reunion amazing. Family travelled from all over Eire, Scotland and Lincoln. Staff were amazing and food very good. Great weekend special mention to my liason Gaughan for all her help and e. Mail's back and fourth.

Staff cannot feed you enough as they generous. Beds super comfy and you feel at home immediately.

I stayed in this wonderful hotel a few weeks ago for my birthday. It's a beautiful, boutique hotel, and the food is absolutely to die for. The staff couldn't do enough for us. Fantastic Hotel located in the centre of the town. Incredibly helpful staff who are sincere and very genuine. Really comfortable beds and beautifully decorated modern rooms Fabulous food… Have to try Grandma's apple pie… It's to die for :)

We just had one of what I hope is a family reunion 80+ of us landed in the Talbot lodge and have to say it was great value staff where fantastic they couldn't do enough for us child or adult we where all treated like kings and had best weekend ever thanks to all the amazing staff at the Talbot lodge for making our weekend so memorable x.

This is a real gem. Lovely rooms, great food, really friendly and helpful staff. A real boutique feel and I just love the decor. Was there for a girly weekend and had a ball. Mayo people are really friendly and there are some stunning views in the vicinity.
