Really enjoyed my two night stay recently in the Bush Hotel. The food was excellent, our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. I loved all the historical information and items dotted around the hotel which itself is a lovely building and ideally located to explore the town and surrounding countryside. The staff were wonderful, very friendly and great service, Samantha in the lounge was a joy and great at the banter which we loved. We will definitely be revisiting the Bush Hotel.

The building has character and history throughout the building. The staff are so friendly and can't do enough for you, food excellent. Bedrooms are basic, somewhere to wash, dress and sleep, and let's be honest, you don't go on a break to sit in a hotel room?, beds where comfy enough, as it was head to pillow for me then zzz 😴 zzz. So all in all I fully recommend the Bush Hotel, and would stay again if we're lucky enough to be in the area.

Had the most amazing time at the Bush hotel this week. The staff are the friendliest staff I've ever met, they couldn't have done any more for us. The rooms are huge and spotlessly clean and the food is gorgeous. I highly recommend this hotel for family staycations or a couples weekend.

The hotel was incredible to stay for the 2 nights last Friday. Such a great, friendly staff, great food and also very clean rooms. Highly recommend it! I would go there again! Atmosphere is just lovely. 😊

Myself and my daughter had a most enjoyable few days here at the bush hotel, we felt very safe with all covid measures in place while remaining a lovely welcoming and relaxed atmosphere with stunning views a stones throw from the hotel, all the staff wer just lovely and we met the owner rosie a beautiful lady, we’ll definitely be back.

Just back home after a beautiful meal in the Bush Hotel. First meal out since the end of February. Wonderful welcome from the staff and owner. I have to complement them on all the measures that they have taken to make their customers feel safe during these difficult times. Lots of social distancing, tables cleaned after use. Beautiful food, wonderful service and atmosphere not destroyed by the covid measures. Thank you for the effort you have taken to be back in business.

Had a lovely vegetarian curry in the Bush hotel last night. Staff were very helpful. Lovely warm and cosy atmosphere. Highly recommend.

We had dinner here, service was terrible, waitress not pleasant, friendly or helpful, very disappointed and wont be returning.

Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms were fantastic, would definetly recommend the hotel to my friends.

Most welcoming particularly as I have a guide dog. Excellent food.

This is day 3 of our stay at the hotel and we are very happy with the way things have gone so far. We are dinner, bed and breakfast and our room is very nice and much bigger than we expected. The towels and linen have been changed every day and the room is very clean. The beds, yes we have a double and a single, are very comfortable and the duvet and sheets are too.
The food has been great, well it suits us down to a T, there is a good choice and the portions are not small. The staff are all friendly and I would definitely recommend The Bush Hotel if you are thinking of staying in this area. Lesley/Bob.

Second time at this hotel, staff very welcoming, complimentary tea and coffee, bit of a problem with passengers getting a room but John the owner sorted it out so no problems, well done John. Looking forward to to our week.

My self and my husband are just back from this hotel Friday 24 august. We stayed for two nights and had a lovely time The hotel is warm and very comfortable. The staff through out the hotel were so friendly and helpful they could not do enough for you to enjoy your stay The food is excellent and serve very large portions We try to get away as a couple once a month and I will be returning to the Bush hotel. The Bush hotel gets 10 out of ten from us well worth a visit.

Nice hotel furnished in older style, with themed rooms, good food, parking nearby, very friendly staff. Rooms functional to more beautifully furnished and very clean! only the bathroom could tolerate some renewal but not disturbing. A little older. Location central!

Fantastic family run hotel, with excellent staff who are eager to make your stay as pleasant as possible, whether it be in the coffee shop, bars, or restaurants. I would easily recommend this hotel to anyone.

The food was delicious, service was excellent and sitting area's very comfortable. The waitresses Chloe and Evelina, were excellent. I would highly recommend it to family and friends, we will definitely be back, thank you so much for an excellent evening dining.

We had a lovely afternoon meal here at a very reasonable price. Food was prepared well and the choice was quite broad from sandwiches through to the full Meal. Lovely staff. Nice venue. The town's history decorated the walls.

Stayed here sat night with a large group for a hen party. I have to say I was extremely impressed, room very clean, staff wonderful and food was lovely.
The portions where big, all home made and for such a busy night everything came out together and hot.
I was also very impressed with the security in the hotel, it was a very busy weekend with stags, hen's and the festival some of our group went back earlier than others and I walked my sister back to our room, we couldn't entre without been checked at the front door so we felt very safe.
Only one issue we didn't get much sleep with the noise but wasn't really a major problem due to the night that was in it, no hassle just groups having a good time.
Well done Bush Hotel for such a busy night everything was great.

Really friendly staff, comfortable rooms, placed right in centre of the town with all amenities a very short walk away, food is good but a little expensive, would definitely recommend.

Went for a meal for the first time and found it very good, staff very helpful, changed one of meals with no hesitation,

Was at a meeting in this hotel. Old traditional property. Food served was excellent. Private parking by the hotel. Loved the historic pictures around the walls.

Ate late lunch here. Was only given evening menu until we saw others eating sandwiches & chips and had to cancel order & reorder from new menu. Was told only certain items available then saw others eating burgers which we were told was unavailable. Our baskets of chicken goujons & chips were ok. Mix-up with sauces. My fish ones were awful. Very disappointed!

Just back from a hen weekend in Carrick on Shannon where we stayed in the Bush hotel. The staff were extremely helpful when I was organising the hen party, responded promptly to emails and made it so easy to organise.
Upon arrival all staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Check in was very quick with no issues. The owner even gave some of the party a lift from the train station. The rooms are very spacious, clean, with comfortable beds.
The breakfast, dinner and lunch was lovely with a great selection.
The location of the hotel is perfect, walking distance to booze cruise, pubs, nightclubs, atm, shops.
The owner keeps a close eye but is fair as he understands it is a hen party and is helpful. The residence bar did close early, at 3am.
I would highly recommend this hotel for a hen party or if you are staying in Carrick on Shannon. I really cannot compliment the staff enough, there were all amazing!

What a hotel! I haven’t even stayed there yet and I received a touch of class.
Due to arrive on Friday 2nd March for my brothers stag do (booked via third party) but due to things have been thrown upside-down.
The owner of the hotel decides to ring me and tells me not to worry about a thing if we don’t make it down. He told me that whatever time we miss for the duration of the stay it will be refunded.
You don’t get many places with this type of customer satisfaction anymore,

Melt in the mouth beef. Gorgeous soup. Staff superb. Central to everything. Perfect spot to stay.

A very friendly and helpful atmosphere. Staff couldn't be more friendly. A warm and welcoming place to relax.

This is a family run hotel in centre of Carrick on-Shannon. I have not stayed there but have lunch there at least once weekly whilst doing my food shopping. They have a carvery style restaurant, food is usually very good and at a reasonable cost of around 10 euro weekday or 12 euro at weekends.

Absolutely outstanding food. Big feed for a reasonable price. Nice and hearty place for both food and drink in the middle of town.

Initial impression was poor. Room very small. However I was upgraded without having to request it. New room was perfectly adequate. Breakfast was very good. Irish produce from the local area. Nice friendly efficient staff.

A wonderful classic Historic Hotel. The staff are marvelous. Subject so welcoming and friendly a nice bar and wonderful food can't say enough good things.

Had breakfast here and unfortunately it wasn't the best experience. Staff wasn't the most friendly, eggs were oily and the scone was hard. At least they have sparkling water available and coffee was alright.

Breakfast was good, the hotel was nicely decorated and the beds were comfy. Its quite affordable and found no problems with it at all.

Very small rooms. Actually they are extremely small. No electrical sockets in the room. No iron. But was clean. Breakfast was lovely. Plus the dinner was lovely too.

We've had the best food possible for any establishment to serve to it customers, we had't stayed in the Bush hotel but would hope to at so in a future date. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Ten out of ten all-around. Tony @ Frances.

Had the privilege of attending a conference here and staying at the Bush Hotel. Staff was very cordial and attentive, food was delicious! Rooms were neat, warm and comfortable. Location is excellent, walking distance to many hot spots. We were well taken care of.

Nice hotel and rooms, lift for prams is good. Shame it is needed. Food was rushed but OK for a certain age group.

This hotel was far too expensive for its rating of three stars at €150 for one night. The rooms were filthy, skirtings had not been cleaned in months and the bathroom was likewise. This hotel has many awards of quality, it is not living up to them, standard is very low indeed. I wrote a letter of complaint to the management and I got no response. I certainly would not recomend the Bush Hotel to anyone.
