Most staff were nice but breakfast needs to improve attitude of some wasn't great and waiting on our tea to come out was ridiculous. Hotel fab but prefer to open a window than air con food excellent at dinner in bar. Badly needs a swimming pool.

I Highly recommend this hotel to have your wedding reception in. The staff could not have done enough for us on the day. Nicole is an excellent wedding coordinator she really goes into every little detail with you and makes sure you get exactly what you want. The room was decorated beautifully for us they understood exactly what way we wanted it laid out and placed all our own bits exactly where we wanted them. Everyone was so impressed with the food as we're we. The food is 100% amazing I just cannot fault this hotel at all. Thank you again to the loughrea hotel for making our day so special from beginning to end. Hard to believe itll be 2 weeks ago this Saturday. Mr+Mrs Walsh.

Staff at the hotel couldn’t have been nicer. They noticed we were celebrating a birthday and dropped us up brownies. Such a lovely gesture. Spa and restaurant were both excellent. Everyone really went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.

Myself & two friends recently stayed here on the 'girls night away' package. Excellent valve for €120pp. From the greeting we got at check in to the wonderful cheerful & friendly waiting & bar staff to the talented & professional therapists. They pulled out all the stops to make our stay so welcoming & relaxing. The food was amazing good selection on the menu piping hot & very tasty & as for the cocktails 🍹🍸were to die for. We will most definitely be back. Five stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Really enjoyed our stay. Room was spacious, spotless clean, the bed was big and really comfy. Food was amazing, baby bowl was free of charge which I was surprised by as most hotels we stay in charge for such a small bowl. Staff are really friendly and so helpful. Can't wait to stay again.

Had an amazing weekend here just gone for our wedding. From Nicole the amazing wedding Co ordinator to all the amazing staff. The day went beautifully and the staff were so helpful. Everyone was full of complements and enjoyed their stay and the food was amazing. Thank you so much for making our day so special xx jess and joe.

Booked in for the Santa experience with the kids I have to say Santa and he's elves couldnt have being any nicer. Great set up. Santa was fantastic and friendly my two boys really enjoyed him he was so nice. Fantastic staff and food was gorgeous.

I stayed here on the 3/10/20 for one night with two friends, it was truly amazing from the minute we arrived till we left. We had a spa treatment which was heaven and a lovely meal in the evening and all the staff were so friendly.

Absolutely beautiful hotel met a girl in reception pleasure to talk to, staff are amazing and very helpful. The hotel itself is very clean beds are so comfy couldn't fault it in any way.

Just back from a 2 night stay and I have to say we absolutely loved it. Rooms are fantastic and the staff are so helpful and even go the extra mile to make your stay amazing. Dinner and breakfasts were also beautiful. Our twins loved their first holiday away. So thank you so so much, we cannot wait to come back.

We had a fantastic short break here in this great hotel… Food was lovely… service so professional… a special shout out to Hazel who served us for breakfast and to Jennifer… Both so helpful efficient and kind… Hotel room was a triple. It was clean big and had a great view of the lake… Looking forward to returning in near future…

They need to look at their bar /bistro service its terrible, both dinner and breakfast service is not good, cov 19 letting people out doors in and out the same not even cleaning chairs and people confuse how to leave area.

We celebrated our daughter's Confirmation at the hotel today and I would like to say a Big Thank You to the hotel staff for their fantastic and very friendly service. The staff in the Reception, Restaurant and Bar were excellent and couldn't be more helpful. The hotel is beautiful and the food was also excellent. You really made it a special day for our little girl.

Just returned from celebrating my 40th birthday with the greatest of friends. From beginning to end the staff couldn’t do enough for us! Made us feel so welcome — So friendly and helpful. The hotel is so luxurious — we stayed in the Connaught suite and wow wow wow! I didn’t want to leave. Our spa treatments were fab and dinner was delicious. Would highly recommend this hotel.
It was very busy from 10.20am onwards for brekkie so would recommend going down earlier if possible!

From the minute we arrived on Saturday to this hotel we were treated amazingly from the girls at reception, the girls in the spa and all the staff in the restaurant and the bar. There was a group of 20 of us for my hen party and the staff in the hotel went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was the best experience which it was. Would highly recommend this hotel to everyone. Thanks to the all the staff.

Lovely hotel, great staff and enjoyed the food.

Just had a meal there with my husband. I ordered vegetable stir fry with noodles and prawns. Sorry to say I got a huge plate of noodles and very little veg and 4 prawns!. No one came near us to ask if our meal was ok. So when I got the chance to call the waiter to tell him of my disappointment he had to call the manager. He gave me a story about changing kitchen staff around I didn't want to hear that. So we left. Me still hungry. Never to return. Hubby's meal was ok. But it will be a very long time before I want to go there again. I wasn't charged for my meal but I left still hungry. Home to make a sandwich.

Lovely stay… friendly staff … a really enjoyable experience.

We stayed her for 2 days and I could not fault the hotel in any way. The staff were just amazing went above and beyond for hole stay. I would highly recommend staying and also I book through Mary and she was a pleasure to deal with she had planned a full itinerary for the days I was there and with a group of 12 nothing was any hassle and changed to suit our group. Highly recommend.

Just home from an amazing family wedding here. We stayed for 3 nights. Hotel is spotless and staff couldn’t do enough for us. The food is amazing also. Got make up done by Shauna in the Spa. She was brilliant and such a lovely chatty girl. Only let down was no pool but We would still go back and recommend to other friends and family. Great 3 days had by all.

Just Home from a fabulous weekend away with kids. The Hotel itself is fabulous, The Family Bedrooms are so luxurious and spacious, oh and the beds are so comfortable. Had the pleasure of using the Spa it is beautiful and relaxing, The staff are so kind and immensely professional Throughout the Hotel! Very Family Friendly too, Netflix in the Rooms, Kids Club, Take away to your room. Playground 7mins from the hotel too. … We will definitely be back, and hopefully the pool will be complete before we return.

Hotel is fabulous, the rooms are so luxurious and the beds; you just sink into them!
The Spa is beautiful, relaxing and staff are so kind and immensely professional!
Ultimately, our first stay there led to myself and my now wife working through some relationship issues and leaving there a completely different couple.

Unfortunately I had a bad experience at the hotel. Arrived, went to the bar to watch a match and no BT Sports. Next morning, had to queue 20 mins for a table for breakfast, when we got one had to queue again for a further 15 mins for a hot breakfast, when we got it, it was cold. I talked to the food & bev manager after and all she said was sorry about that. Not even offering to take the extra €10 pp off per breakfast. I will never stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

I always have an excellent meal here, very quick efficient service. Food very good, wholesome and well presented. The chicken volavaunts were excellent as was the steak sizzler and another in our party had the lasagna again very good. Parking is good.

Hotel without interest. Between city and country. Nice double room. Spa paying in the hotel. Gym with spa in a nearby centre. Breakfast buffet, no pastries one morning, no dried fruit another morning.

Staff are great. Hotel itself is very nice. Food is quite good. And the rooms are very comfortable.

Nice place for a meal with friends but not a place to eat alone due to the open plan layout in the bar area. Staff are friendly and food is good. Spa needs to be refurbished. Decor in the bar is dark and designs are jarring but reception lobby is attractive and cosy. Parking and location are good.

Love it. Be careful with the room you get. The family rooms have a great view. Other rooms are over looking duct work and concrete? Outdoor Roof top bar is lovely in good weather.

Breakfast was poor. Food was not hot enough, glasses not clean. Enjoyed my stay. But I do like my breakfast.

Great Hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Kids love going here. The pictures on the wall are beautiful garden scenes and the fire is hypnotic when it's on (even though it's fake for those little curious hands! ) The rooms are spacious and well proportioned. Was at a ball there recently and the food was gorgeous. Service was great too. I use this place a lot personally and for work and I can't fault them. They really are great. I recommend Victoria or Maureen if you want to book or organise something. Two smashing ladies who really know their job and will go out of their way to help. The Loughrea Hotel is lucky to have them.

Beautiful hotel. Great staff I am from this area. But live in California now, when I visit home I will definitely be staying at this hotel from now on. The staff were excellent especially Donna at front desk. The breakfast is great,. With an amazing array of choices.

Was only staying for 2 nights but wasn't impressed. They only gave us 1 toilet roll and when they cleaned the room they didn't give us another one. Also the bed wasn't made properly, it was more like 2 single beds shoved together so my fiancé kept almost falling through the middle. Some of the staff weren't very nice, bit rude if I'm being honest. Breakfast was a bit of a joke, there was only 1 person serving hot food so we were waiting a while for that. Was handy because it was near everything but don't think we'll stay again.

Absurd! Disgusting! I was at this hotel 2 years ago and everything was fine. This is not the same. When I walked in people were smoking inside, the whole place was a mess; the lobby looked terrible and dirty. The carpet leading to my room looked like in had not been vacuumed in weeks. The room looked worn down, the TV was the size of a dollhouse TV with less then 10 working channels. At dinner we were seated at a dirty table, the waitress took over 15 minutes to come to the table, and the food was horrible. Okay now it is 11:20pm with pounding loud music and the front desk said it will go to almost 3am. What a nightmare! Never again and will not stay another night in this place!

Fab spa experience, and the afternoon tea is better than any I've ever had elsewhere. The thermal suites are a fantastic way to unwind. I usually go with a friend and use it as a way to catch up while letting the heat take care of tired muscles.

Ive eaten here before and it was okay but last nite we had salmon tiny bit in a bowl with some veg and two dried up tiny baby boils such a let down I had steak medium to well was dry and over cooked and the chicken stir fry so much sauce the week before we enjoyed our meal thats why we came back disappointed.

To be honest this was my second time to this hotel, it's gone down hill since my last visit. Breakfast isn't nice Staff are great, friendly and efficient. But our bed had stains on it it wasn't nice at all. Upon leaving I mentioned to the mangers at the time and all I got was thank you. I wouldn't go back.

Very friendly staff, very helpful and fast service. Really nice food, bedrooms are lovely and clean. Walking distance to Loughrea town, not alot to do here but in good weather it's a nice way to pass the time walking down main street. Would definitely go back, but would make sure I booked the spa in time! It had filled up by the time I went to book, but there was a really good choice of treatments.

Good food and service. Room is large and air-conditioned. Bath & shower combined work well plenty of hot water. Watch for special offers. Wi-Fi is free and reasonably fast. Enjoy your stay we did. 9.5 out of 10.

Overall a good experience. Efficient friendly staff, afternoon tea was fresh and tasty with a good selection. The Spa experience was very good. Lovely professional therapists and a variety of treatment chambers in the thermal suite. Very comfortable beds and spacious rooms. Very little noise from other rooms and corridors. Evening meal and breakfast a little uneventful. Selection on the menu was very descent but tasteless. The bar served as the hub of all activity from afternoon tea, to dinner, drinks and breakfast. It also served as the access point for the spa which I found peculiar. I don't really get the walking through the bar with robes, when families were eating and people drinking and watching the rugby. It's the wrong ambience for spa users and bar/restaurant users.

Was present at conference at Lough Rea Hotel. Never in it before. Was very impressed with the hotel conference room and the size of hotel. Did not get opportunity to see bar, restaurant or leasure centre.

Well looked after. We had a lovely meal. Plenty of nice staff on and very helpful.

Booked into the spa on a great Groupon offer, I was plesently surprised to find the inside of the hotel was far nicer and modern that the aging hospital like exterior so don't be fooled. The bar and reception were both nice enough although I didn't experience them fully. The spa was a hidden gem, very big and lots of facilities. The service was lovely, a few up keep and wear and tear issues but then again it's not 5 stars. Overall I had a lovely experience and would go back for the Spa as the hotel seems a little in the middle of nowhere.

Had our wedding there on Friday. It was better than we ever could have hoped for. Karen Brady is a very good reason why the hotel is doing so well. She was so helpful and friendly threw out all the planning and never once rushed us about anything. The staff are all friendly and professional and the food was absolutely amazing. Everything was perfect. Just want to say that we both can't recommend this hotel enough to anyone whether it's a wedding or a relaxing break. Thanks so much to all the staff and management of the Lough Rea hotel and Spa for all your help to make our special day perfect.

Super clean, super comfortable & most of all the staff are super friendly. The only downside was we couldn't stay longer & indulge in the spa! Will make it a ney years resolution to do so!

Was there for the Christmas party for Saint Brendans nursing home. Had a lovely day. Lovely meal. Lovely staff. Overall very good experience.

Xmas party on rooftop bar. Great food and craic. Had our summer BBQ there as well and this was as good if not better as other groups were sharing with us this time.

Always a pleasure to work at this venue capturing a couples wedding day. It's extremely close to my house so I frequently visit it to have a meal or drinks with family so not just for business. Keep up the great work.

Visit there last night with my wife it wasn't a good Nite at all order a simple drink after 20 minutes came with wrong drink the got fish and chips they were terrible grease was dripping of then plus there was about 10 chips on the plate then came to the dessert ask for Eaton mess and it was a mess it was just ice cream and cream no meringue said it to waiter and she said she would tell the chef then breakfast asked for two fryed eggs when they came they were like rubber and cold so I asked the waiter could she get me fresh ones not ones that were there all morning so she came back with two more and said that's all that is there I asked could she ask the chef could he cook to for me and she told me the chef had gone it was 10.05 breakfast doesn't finish until 10.30 I have eaten better food out of fast food places very very disappointed.

A really nice hotel.
The rooms are large, clean, cozy and you have everything you need here.
The service is excellent as well as the friendliness of the staff.
Even at a wedding, you won't be too short as a regular guest and will be served as well as the wedding guests.
The food tastes great and the prices are a little bit more expensive than at other hotels but that makes the quality of the dishes gone again.
I would highly recommend this hotel.

Unfortunately, we had a very negative experience with one of the waiting staff. He contradicted our viewpoint of our dining experience. He was obviously never trained to listen to customers and not argue with them. Doubt if we'll bother visiting again.

Fast and friendly check in. Rooms very spacious and comfortable. Food delicious and reasonably priced. Breakfast provided a wide variety of cereals, cold meats and cooked hot food.

Bedding OK Meal It goes very long to serve buffet breakfast not too much choice by cons cook for eggs and bacon.

Just back from the Lough Rea Hotel, great stay as usual. Its about our 5th time staying and as always everything was lovely. Staff are all friendly and helpful and the comfort cant be beaten. My daughter and I visited the spa for the first time and had facials, wow, what a lovely atmosphere! Will definitely be back.

Have been in the hotel on a wedding and everything was organised by the highest standard. Great food and drinks options, very nice personnel, pleasant room decoration. They have even stocked restrooms with flip flops for tired feet — brilliant idea! Very good venue for your special days.

I went in November 2016 with my sister. It was a gift from a person who cared about asking Tooodo. He was so attentive that he even asked for an Argentinian wine at dinner. What I felt a scam was that he asked what included the package he was told Spa the two days. What's more, he was told that we could leave the suitcases at the reception to enjoy the spa even after the check-out time. The day one went to the spa without any problems. But the second day when we went we were told that there was no place and that reservations were to be made with months in advance. A scam.

The wonderful roof top bar has amazing views. Pleasant staff and very good Barbecue.

Nice modern hotel with a spa. The rooftop bar is open at the weekends and serves cocktails along with other drinks.

The staff were friendly and very accomodating, even dipping into the kitchen after it was closed to make us a sandwich when we arrived late. Rooms were very clean. Breakfast food enough. Main critique? The "twin" beds were really singles, so very narrow. For a better night's sleep, push them together.
