Excellent food, service and ambiance.

Perfect location, amazing view, beautifully prepared home grown and locally sourced food, welcoming atmosphere, lovely owners and staff, and best of all dog friendly. What a wonderful way to spend our honeymoon.

We went there with my husband for our honeymoon trip back in April 2016 and it was absolutely fabulous. We're from South France and we can't wait to go back with our baby boy everything was perfect : the food, the views and the people!

Had an amazing time in this quant hotel a few years ago. We came during off season and were welcomed warmly! Easy taxi ride to town for delicious dinner. Very romantic.

We just stayed at the Ardagh Hotel and it was wonderful. Charming with an amazing staff that was friendly and accommodating. The views and the food are spectacular. Definitely would recommend and plan to go back.

Very good restaurant with a splendid view of Clifden Bay. Aperitif at the corner of the fireplace to start well.

We spent 3 nights here last weekend and I can't wait to go back. Everything about the hotel is quality, food is amazing, hotel is beautiful, and the staff were so nice, warm, welcoming and friendly, we had a room overlooking the bay and the view was beautiful. The location is peaceful and quiet and only a few minutes drive from Clifden town. I would have no hesitation recommending the Ardagh Hotel.

We stayed in the hotel's lodge in June and had a great time. We've stayed in a fair few self-catering properties and this one was probably the best equipped one we've ever stayed in. Especially loved the peat fire and the massive bed! The lodge is far enough away from the hotel to have peace and quier but close enough to easily pop to the bar or restaurant for a snack or drink. We ate in the restaurant one night, wonderfully fresh good with a great sunset view. The staff are friendly, the property clean and cosy and the location, for us, was just right to enjoy Clifden and the area for five days.

Great Crew and even greater food. The hotel is located direct at the sea with a fantastic view of the sunset during dinner. We were sad that we had to leave after two days.

We spent 3 nights here. It was an incredible experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. They made you feel like you were home. Loved coming in from day out and sit at the bar and chat with the locals. The restaurant is excellent. Serge will play his guitar and sing you off to bed. Highly recommend a stay here.

Address with a lot of charm. Beautiful view of the Seaview Suite room. Very good table. Boss speaks very well French.

Stayed here for 4 days with a small baby. Staff couldn’t have been nicer to us. So accommodating. We ate here every evening and the food was was extremely good with a varied menu every day. Will be back.

My partner and I stayed at the Ardagh Hotel during a trip through Ireland, and it was our favourite place that we stayed at. We were welcomed with some cake and coffee, when we arrived in the afternoon. Our room was one of the smaller ones, but still very nice, comfortable, and also clean. There is a cute little area upstairs with couches to relax and a beautiful view of the ocean, that we really liked. The restaurant offers the same gorgeous view. The chairs at the tables there are arranged towards the window, so everyone gets to enjoy it. (Typically esch table has two chairs. The hotel is quite targeted towards couples, in my opinion. ) There are also two fireplaces in the restaurant that made it feel very cozy. The restaurant specializes in sea food, but, when asked, they offered us vegetarian dishes that were not on the menu, and they were absolutely delicious. They even use ingredients from their own little garden. The entire hotel and restaurant staff was very friendly and professional, too. It was a great experience, and we are planning on visiting again someday.

Food is good. Sunset from the restaurant are amazing. Family owners are really friendly.

This was the best hotel we stayed at during our two week honeymoon. The restaurant serves incredible gourmet food. Everything is reasonably priced. You get way more than you pay for. I wish we stayed longer. Stephen is a most wonderful host, as is all of the staff. They live to make your stay perfect.

Extremely clean and very spacious rooms with fabulous views of Killary Harbour. All staff are very friendly & accommodating with our baby, which is always a plus. Highly recommend hotel.

All in all the hotel is great, although it is a bit pricy, do is the restaurants. The view is great, you can enjoy it from the "sea view" rooms, the bar, and the restaurant. The bar is great, and there was really good live music. The room is fine, the bath definitely need a renovation though, it is not acceptable for a hotel in this price class.

What a fantastic place. The atmosphere is great, the food to die for. The owners are so helpful. We struggled ashore with the dingy after anchoring in the safest anchorage on the west coast of Ireland. We could have had showers and our laundry washed. They really couldn't have been more helpful and some magic fairies had even cleared a path back to the dinghy.

Didn't end up staying in an actual room of the hotel but had two breakfasts and work sessions here — which was enough to say this hotel is wonderful. First of all, the coffee's served hot, the staff is incredibly friendly, the smell (not kidding) of the hotel is great, the work space up stairs is beautifully decorated in tropical plants (see photo) and the overall impression is great. Located in a silent place, close to the buzz of busy Clifden. I myself wouldn't spend €100 or more on a night in basically any hotel, but if you have the money, you'll have a great time here. Recommended!

The food was absolutely incredible. The best in our entire trip around the country. Freshly grown vegetables and herbs from their garden, fabulous presentation and impeccable service. We happened upon this place by chance and were so happy we did. Our room was spacious with a view of the water across the road. Woke to seeing horses meandering on the hillside. Loved it!
