We stayed there for two nights. The pods were beautiful, clean and very comfortable. The staff were lovely and helpful. The location is amazing. We will definitely stay again.

I was deeply disappointed by my 3-day visit to the Aran islands. Had been dreaming to come for many years and had been expecting a very lively traditional rural community life with lots of music, crafts, storytelling, singing, teaching knitting traditions, possibilities to get together with people living good old ways of living there and keeping to a meaningful, down to earth, simple life. I found nothing of that. Everybody I met was very friendly, but there were no people nor places to get together but the supermarket and the pub, no community center, no craft school, not even a cozy cafe or tea shop, no knitting, spinning, nothing. I wonder where all those sweaters being advertised as made on Aran are actually from. Hongkong? Landscapes were amazing but very empty of life, there would be so much to offer! Frustrating!

I absolutely loved my stay at Aran Islands Camping & Glamping. The pods were absolutely amazing! They had great beds, amazing bathroom, Shower and a great kitchen. The Staff were all very professional, friendly and genuinely cared about their guests. This establishment rates five stars and more. I ended up staying an extra night due to having such an amazing experience. It should be noted I am originally from Dublin, Ireland, lived in the United States for over thirty years and served with the United States Marines all over the world. I definitely know a great camping site from all my Travels and Life Experiences. The site has great tumble dryers and washing machines. If you are looking looking for an amazing place to stay on the Aran Island I highly recommend Aran Islands Camping &Glamping. You won’t be disappointed!

Excellent campsite, clean, lots of space, safe, on site friendly security at night, views to die for, staff are so welcoming and helpful. We'll definitely be back.

Perfect location close to harbour and village, but very peaceful. The owner and staff were excellent with advice and recommendations. There is a lovely friendly atmosphere in the place. The business is spotless, and they work hard at ensuring that all the covid protocols are implemented. The showers, bathroom pods, kitchen and reception were spotless. The beach across the way Frenchman's Beach is tourquise blue, and so inviting. We rented an electric bike and saw all the sites of the island, it the perfect getaway, couldn't recommend it enough.

Everything, the land, the people, and the customs!

Great location, the amenities were brilliant, 10 minute walk from the village or boat, there is a beach directly opposite the camp site. The pods were spotlessly clean. There were mini bbq’s if you required them which was a lovely bonus. Would highly recommend a stay here.

Stayed here camping, lovely area. Great view. Lots to do on the island and great to go cycling and take in the beautiful sites.

Glamping pods are clean, safe and sufficient. Excellent location and friendly staff. Well worth a visit!

Just returned from a very enjoyable 3 night stay in a glamping pod. Spotlessly clean facility. Very welcoming staff in laid back surroundings. The site is ideally located — overlooks a beautiful beach, close to bike hire, the pier and the village.

Recently travelled there with a cycling group. It is simply breathtaking! Very laid back, lots of sheep, cows and horses and of course the rock walls are spectatular!

A very peaceful Birthday weekend away with herself, wonderful scenery and plenty to do. Cycling and walking are big on the “islands”. Recharge the batteries in a welcoming atmosphere.

I enjoyed my stay at this camping. Close to pubs, and the small supermarket. There was plenty of space to pitch my tent. The kitchen space is huge. The reception is cosy, with a fire place, and Wi-Fi.

The pods are brilliant and it's in a great location! We really enjoyed it! Would love to go back!

Beautiful. Wonderful people, shops and scenery.

It is a magical place to visit, both peaceful and magnificent, full of the beauty and solitude of nature. The color of the ocean water is beyond my words.

Surreal place. Felt like you where on a different planet. Amazing scenery.

Great location and generally a good site. Felt a little unwelcomed when we arrived. We got off the ferry around 11.30am and the first thing we wanted to do was offload the tent etc… Check in isn't until 1pm which is surprising as people coming off the ferry would want to dump their stuff first surely (which they did as everyone else was doing the same as us) just doesn't seem well designed. Anyway we were allowed to set up the tent (so long as we didn't use the facilities) then went off for the day and returned late in the evening. It is a very nice site and the price is very reasonable for camping. Not sure I would stay in a pod for the price though. You could get a b&b for cheaper!

The cheapest place to stay on the island. 10euro per person in tent. 2euro extra for the shower but it's so long working that two persons can use it in this time. The pods are looking very nice but I wouldn't pay this 125euro per night for this, overpriced Ireland as usual.

Beautiful, quiet, across the street from a sandy beach. Huts are snug for 4 but we were outside a lot, so it never felt cramped. Laundry facilities and larger kitchen available in nearby outbuildings, Wi-Fi in main building. An excellent place to unplug and rest.

An experience where people and culture step out of time… we had a lovely day touring the island talking to people and enjoying the scenery.

We went as a group of ten, spent the daytime cycling around the island and the evening in tents. Beautiful situation, surrounded by empty fields and the occasional well-meaning goat. The facilities were excellent and everything was kept very neat and tidy. It was pleasant to stay somewhere we could camp out, but still have access to a kitchen to make some decent food in. Very impressed also with how helpful the staff were. Always happy to give direction and insight, as well as going out of their way to look out for us. Couldn't recommend more highly.

Eco friendly and one of the best stay I have ever been. If u hire bicycle is only two minutes from town. Walking distance is about 10 minutes. Highly recommended. Place is nice and tidy.

I could have stayed there forever. I loved the people and all of the history. I learned so much from McDonough and his carriage ride was yhe best. The only complaint is the size and speed of some of the tour busses… but that's not the island's fault.

Stayed in a pod. It was so cosy and warm on the windy and rainy night but woke up to an amazing view of the sunrise right over the beach across the way. Such a lovely experience and would recommend to anyone visiting the islands to stay here! Helpful, friendly and welcoming staff and provided us with all the information of stuff to do and where to eat around the island! Amazing.

Great craic, crossing from Rosaveel was smooth, kilronan hostel was brilliant super staff, ride to Dun Aonghsa with Gerry and his horse Jack was delightful, walk back brought on a hunger & thirst that was satiated in the bay view hotel with a sea food platter and up to joe watty's to quench the thirst being entertained by great musicians whohoo what more could you ask for, happy days and the sun even made an appearance B-)

Cannot recommend this place enough. The staff were so friendly especially the receptionist and David. They provided recommendations on where to visit and the best way to get around the island. The place was spotless and well equipped. Had the most amazing view onto the beach. Ideal for 2 adults or 2 adults and 2 children. Would be too crammed with 4 adults. Will definitely return.

With only 3 days in Galway, we wondered if a full day spent in Inishmore was the best use of our time. So glad we went! Took the shuttle to/from the ferry. That was easy. Also rented bikes to explore the island. We had a perfectly beautiful, sunny day. If you're looking for a busy, bustling place, the Aran Islands is not it. It's a whole lot of nothing — but beautiful countryside, amazing coastline views, animals sprinkled about, and endless amounts of rock walls and simple l…iving. The view from the fort is breathtaking! So glad we went. There's such beauty in simplicity.

I am a regular visitor to the Aran Islands. All 3 Islands have an amazing history with lots of ancient churches and monastic ruins dating back to a time when the Islands were centres of learning while most of Europe languished in "the dark ages" The people living on the Islands are very friendly. When in some of the lovely restaurants I always choose locally grown or caught products.
